Disambiguation link notification for April 17

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Nuclear Waste Technical Review Board, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Department of Energy (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Thank you!

Thank you for swiftly reverting vandalism to my user talk page! Its always a pleasant reminder of the hardworking vandal fighters out there when I get the new message banner and by the time I get to my talk page, its the same as it was before! NickContact/Contribs 04:30, 24 April 2013 (UTC)

Thank you for your kind words! --Hdt83 Talk 05:01, 24 April 2013 (UTC)

Thanks for reverting vandalism

You quickly restored Lavasa to a pristine state. Thanks. Fleetham (talk) 06:28, 25 April 2013 (UTC)

This is beyond and above absurd

I am not edit warring. That guy is a blatant troll from Gamefaqs who is vandalizing the page and putting it in irrelevant information. He doesn't even ATTEMPT to justify his actions or reasoning - he hasn't explained his "why" ANYWHERE. I've warned him multiple times. I've reported him TWICE now. And BOTH times, the reports (with EVIDENCE of his trolling) were removed and completely ignored. And yet...somehow...I'M getting warned!? I'm sorry, but no. In fact, f**k you would be the more appropriate reply to your warning. Do your freaking job instead of badgering me for no goddamn reason. --68.230.252.5 (talk) 17:57, 26 April 2013 (UTC)

Please realize that making personal attacks, particularly against an administrator, does nothing to help remedy the situation. In case you didn't notice, I've also warned the other user to stop reverting but it seems that they aren't listening either. You say that he hasn't explained why removal is justified yet you yourself did not provide a source or citation to back up your addition to the article. Without a citation, it would be hard to determine who is right and I would be forced to block both of you since neither user has stopped their reverts. Luckily, since I am in a good mood today, I went ahead and sourced your addition with some articles I found that seems to back up your addition [1]. Next time, please provide a citation for future content since unverifiable content are discouraged and can be removed at any time. I hope that resolves the situation at hand, please use the talk page next time or use one of the many dispute resolution services rather than reverting. --Hdt83 Talk 02:45, 27 April 2013 (UTC)
Thank you. And I apologize, I was pretty frustrated given the situation - if you noticed, I *did* take it to the talk page the first time around. That guy didn't bother to reply. That said, I didn't see the need to source that particular bit of information due to it being present in virtually every single piece of media released regarding the game - much like how DMC2's addition of mid-air combat isn't sourced and referenced; it's too common of a bit of knowledge. But like I said, I have a really really strong belief that he's a Gamefaqs troll, so even with your citations I doubt he'll stop. --68.230.252.5 (talk) 04:09, 27 April 2013 (UTC)

And your edits have just been reverted by someone. Haha, see? I tried to tell you. --68.230.252.5 (talk) 04:26, 28 April 2013 (UTC)

Alright, it looks like the vandalism has been stopped for now. Guess they just got bored. If any nonsense comes back up again regarding that page I'll notify you. Again, I apologize for my prior behavior - even if justified, I still shouldn't have taken it out on you. --68.230.252.5 (talk) 06:02, 2 May 2013 (UTC)

WikiProject: World Heritage Sites

Hi Hdt83. I noticed that you started the World Heritage Sites WikiProject and would like to help would on the project. I’m a student at American University and currently taking a “Wikipedia and Public Knowledge” class. We’ve been tasked to find and contribute to a WikiProject and this project caught my attention. I’m really interested in helping with your World Heritage Sites WikiProject, specifically the list of World Heritage Sites in Peru. I’ll be traveling to Cusco and Machu Picchu in the beginning of March so I’d love to add some photographs to the project when I return. Thanks. Mlhill23 (talk) 04:00, 4 February 2014 (UTC)

Tulsa Race Riots

Tulsa Race Riots are a CLEAR domestic terror attack. Look at the definition of domestic terror attack, look at what the Tulsa Race Riots were, and you will see its a domestic terror attack. Please stop undoing my edits for no reason. If you want to discuss, fine but please do not just undo. They are very, very clearly a domestic terror attack. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Cquest (talkcontribs) 07:35, 7 September 2014 (UTC)

Invitation to subscribe to the edit filter mailing list

Hi, as a user in the edit filter manager user group we wanted to let you know about the new wikipedia-en-editfilters mailing list. As part of our recent efforts to improve the use of edit filters on the English Wikipedia it has been established as a venue for internal discussion by edit filter managers regarding private filters (those only viewable by administrators and edit filter managers) and also as a means by which non-admins can ask questions about hidden filters that wouldn't be appropriate to discuss on-wiki. As an edit filter manager we encourage you to subscribe; the more users we have in the mailing list the more useful it will be to the community. If you subscribe we will send a short email to you through Wikipedia to confirm your subscription, but let us know if you'd prefer another method of verification. I'd also like to take the opportunity to invite you to contribute to the proposed guideline for edit filter use at WP:Edit filter/Draft and the associated talk page. Thank you! Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Notification of pending suspension of administrative permissions due to inactivity

Information icon Following a community discussion in June 2011, consensus was reached to provisionally suspend the administrative permissions of users who have been inactive for one year (i.e. administrators who have not made any edits or logged actions in more than one year). As a result of this discussion, your administrative permissions will be removed pending your return if you do not return to activity within the next month. If you wish to have these permissions reinstated should this occur, please post to the Wikipedia:Bureaucrats' noticeboard and the userright will be restored per the re-sysopping process (i.e. as long as the attending bureaucrats are reasonably satisfied that your account has not been compromised, that your inactivity did not have the effect of evading scrutiny of any actions which might have led to sanctions, and that you have not been inactive for a three-year period of time). If you remain inactive for a three-year period of time, including the present year you have been inactive, you will need to request reinstatement at WP:RFA. This removal of access is procedural only, and not intended to reflect negatively upon you in any way. We wish you the best in future endeavors, and thank you for your past administrative efforts.
