Indonesian articles[edit]

Please note the requirements of English Wikipedia - if we add material we cite/add references -(thats why at the bottom of the edit space the issue is noted as 'material must be verifiable - thats is WP:V) otherwise the material needs to be removed. Also when you revert please note WP:3RR - if you are new to wikipedia - please read the welcome and introduction very carefully before editng further. Thanks SatuSuro 13:00, 27 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not add unreferenced information - and then revert it without comment. make sure you use edit summaries. Information without reliable sources will be removed. --Merbabu (talk) 13:02, 27 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
A reminder not to add information without a reliable reference. Otherwise the info could be removed. --Merbabu (talk) 11:22, 28 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I am referring to any article to which you add information without stating a reliable reference which seems to be most articles you work on.your contributions It's for the good of wikipedia. I don't add info without a reference. Anyway, it can't be too hard, surely you must have the reference available to add the info, right? regards --Merbabu (talk) 11:34, 28 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I repeat - any article to which you add unreferenced information. Why should it only apply to only some articles? It's not hard. --Merbabu (talk) 11:38, 28 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Please just read what I wrote above. It's there three times. Please show me one contribution that you've made that has a reference. --Merbabu (talk) 11:43, 28 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

mohon maaf[edit]

mungkin tak ada bahasa inggeris? kalau itu - ini wikipedia inggeris - dan 'referencing' harus lebih jelas? SatuSuro 11:33, 4 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

It would be good if you could engage in talk as there were some issues about what you edited :) SatuSuro 12:40, 14 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Ta - good for yae to answer - just might need a small chat if we have another list of armory of indonesian thingoes - theres a small prob with methods of referencing - nothing too tragic but perhaps a diff way of saying where it all came from (not the aromory) but the info - cheers SatuSuro 00:01, 15 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hey dont want to move anything out - its just a way of sourcing info so it conforms more to the general rules of citation and all - hey i gotta get off right now - will get back to you later - or - i might try one or other of the lists later tonight my time to show you how id do it _ cheers SatuSuro 08:22, 15 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Your recent edits[edit]

Hi there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. If you can't type the tilde character, you should click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you! --SineBot (talk) 10:30, 15 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Photos[edit]

Saw at your user page and merapi - trust you watch the copyright issue very carefully and seriously otherwise they get shot out of the water - well done so far! SatuSuro 09:14, 16 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

please[edit]

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hari_Yang_Cerah when you create something like that it is target for instant death - speedy delete - what you need to do is find an indonesian article - and copy the indonesian project header - tag - whatever you want to call it for the discussion

page - and put it there - also you must find abother indonesian group article that already exists - and get a category before you can say yogyakarta is south of merapi and magelang is west of merbabu' - that is in seconds flat! kalau saya mengerti dari foto rumah keluarga tak jauh dari salatiga?

project tags and catgeories missing are tell tale signs to speedy delete enthusiasts - any new article needs its category and its project tag as early as possible then you need some reference or citation to prove WP:N and WP:V - cheers SatuSuro 09:21, 16 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Photos[edit]

Hi. The problem is not that they were taken by an Air Force official, but that there is a copyright message on the bottom of the website page the pictures came from. In normal military services, photos taken by military personnel on duty would be exempt from copyright, but the history of the Indonesian military shows it to be more of a mercenary/criminal organization prepared to make money any way it can, hence copyrighted photos. Davidelit (talk) 07:46, 30 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi again. I think only admins can remove photos. It's a pity they have to go because the first one especially is a nice photo, but the law is the law. Regards Davidelit (talk) 08:55, 30 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Hi again again. I am almost certain you can't use photos from the TNI-AD website. There is a copyright message at the bottom left. Regards Davidelit (talk) 10:55, 14 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
And again. Take a look at http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Commons:Licensing#Indonesia on WikiCommons. If you're really bored, you can read the original law in Indonesian. Oh, and if you do decide to take photos by yourself, be careful. If you get shot, who will keep the Indonesian Air Force article up to date? Regards Davidelit (talk) 12:48, 14 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
The answer to your question is "no" I think. See http://www.jedsite.info/content/toc.html Davidelit (talk) 05:31, 15 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Flickr - yes. Look at the second item on the menu at the Commons page :-) Davidelit (talk) 13:37, 16 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

He he. Well done on the argument about missiles on this page. I'm glad my photo was useful :-) Regards Davidelit (talk) 04:04, 11 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The Museum Dirgantara Mandala is near the airport. In fact I discovered it by accident a few years ago. I was flying from Yogya and when I looked out of the window at take-off, I saw these wings half covered by a building. I realized the wings must belong to a Tu-16, which meant there must be a museum. I asked at the hotel next time I was there, and got a taxi to take me. You will need to leave some form of ID at the main gate as it is on the Air Force base. It is before the airport as you head out of town. There are contact details and more photos here [1]. By the way, it closes at 1, so get there early. Regards Davidelit (talk) 07:15, 11 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I have photos from 1995 of this museum if anyone is interested :) - but they will take time to upload :( SatuSuro 12:44, 12 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Dont worry - I have photos of Yogya in 1985 :) SatuSuro 12:50, 12 May 2008 (UTC) It will take time - maybe not till mid-july before I load them up - it takes time to retrieve and scan and upload - SatuSuro 12:55, 12 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry I have no idea how many until i check in a months time SatuSuro 00:34, 13 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Reversing external links?[edit]

Why? surely just a rename to 'external links' would have been enough ?SatuSuro 07:27, 3 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Goodwill[edit]

Hey. Refrain from personal attacks, as you did numerous users. Comment on content, not fellow editors. --GABBY (talk) 11:56, 8 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Asian 10,000 Challenge invite[edit]

Hi. The Wikipedia:WikiProject Asia/The 10,000 Challenge has recently started, based on the UK/Ireland Wikipedia:The 10,000 Challenge and Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The 10,000 Challenge. The idea is not to record every minor edit, but to create a momentum to motivate editors to produce good content improvements and creations and inspire people to work on more countries than they might otherwise work on. There's also the possibility of establishing smaller country or regional challenges for places like South East Asia, Japan/China or India etc, much like Wikipedia:The 1000 Challenge (Nordic). For this to really work we need diversity and exciting content and editors from a broad range of countries regularly contributing. At some stage we hope to run some contests to benefit Asian content, a destubathon perhaps, aimed at reducing the stub count would be a good place to start, based on the current Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The Africa Destubathon which has produced near 200 articles in just three days. If you would like to see this happening for Asia, and see potential in this attracting more interest and editors for the country/countries you work on please sign up and being contributing to the challenge! This is a way we can target every country of Asia, and steadily vastly improve the encyclopedia. We need numbers to make this work so consider signing up as a participant! Thank you. --Ser Amantio di NicolaoChe dicono a Signa?Lo dicono a Signa. 02:08, 20 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]
