The addition of the partition chromatography section resolves the conflict between the misuse of the term, Aqueous Normal Phase (ANP) and HILIC. Additional references need to be included in subsequent edits to provide sufficient documentation for the observation of bound water layers on polar surfaces and the mechanisms for HILIC.Heckendorf (talk) 19:58, 19 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Added reefernces to support the partition mechanism hypothesis.Heckendorf (talk) 20:50, 25 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

ERLIC[edit]

Added additional publications to further clarify understanding of ERLIC and its uses:

His subsequent publication further described these Orientation Effects[4] which others have also called Ion-Pair Normal Phase[5] and e-HILIC, reflecting retention mechanisms sensitive to a particular portion of the analyte, either attractive or repulsive. ERLIC separations need not be isocratic, but the effect is the reduction of the attraction of a particularly strong polar group which requires less strong elution conditions.Heckendorf (talk) 14:40, 28 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

License tagging for File:HILIC Partition Method Graphic.png[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:HILIC Partition Method Graphic.png. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information.

To add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 00:07, 17 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Fixed the tag for image, added a review article reference, and adjusted the headings for eHILIC sections. Also corrected the conditions for anionic eHILIC example. Heckendorf (talk) 18:31, 17 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

WTFPL license up for deletion[edit]

Hello there. The image on your user page is currently the only image on the project that uses the WTFPL license. I have placed that license (both versions) up for deletion, and was wondering if you'd be willing to change the file to another license? Sven Manguard Wha? 22:57, 1 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Sven: Since I was new to the image upload area, I picked a license that looked appropriate. Since I am the creator of the image in conjunction with Tobias Jonsson and he also agrees with using it on the site, any license that is permanent would be appropriate. Do you have any suggestions? Heckendorf (talk) 15:09, 2 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I personally like {{Cc-by-sa-3.0}}. It's very common, and protects your work well. The one closest to the license you chose, however, is {{PD-self}}. Either choice is fine. Sven Manguard Wha? 15:31, 2 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Sven

Well since I don't have a clue how to change to this from WTF (how cute), and don't remember how I documented it in the first place, would you make it an {{Cc-by-sa-3.0}} for us? Heckendorf (talk) 16:44, 2 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I've made the change. Happy to be of help. Sorry about all of this. Sven Manguard Wha? 18:00, 2 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]
