Great start.[edit]

I'd like to say that the way that you started on Wikipedia is great. If Gribble's Theory has a Wikipedia page, then it is reasonable that a page could be done for Frederick Gribble. It isn't guaranteed though, if that's the only notable thing that he has done. All of the advice to your request on the help desk is good and I'll be happy to give advice on your page in your personal area (create it like they suggest on the help page), it is *different* than the sandbox that everyone uses.Naraht (talk) 03:17, 19 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

moved[edit]

I'm assuming you wanted this as a userdraft. I've moved it to User:Helen elizabeth2002/Dad Choyoołʼįįhí:Seb az86556 > haneʼ 09:43, 25 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for this. If I edit here, can you see it, RHaworth? Is this how I have a conversation? Helen elizabeth2002 (talk) 22:17, 25 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

  • Yes. This is how to have a conversation! If you comment here and I don't respond, you can slap a {{talkback}} tag on my talk page. I have just had a quick look at Google - there are refs to his work but it does seem to be difficult to find a decent bio about him. On kcl.ac.uk all I could find was him listed as an honorary fellow. But keep trying. (I really hate to say this but comparing with the Hermann Bondi article, we may have to wait until he dies and the obits. get written.) — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 15:59, 26 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

To RHaworth again - do I need any more external references? Is the article not currently acceptable? I've added a link to the external references - does that help? Have a look at this chap - he doesn't have many external links Bruno Bertotti. — Helen elizabeth2002 (talk) 19:01, 26 March 2011 (UTC)Helen_elizabeth[reply]

Thank you all very much for tying up the loose ends and for your advice and for putting this up on Wikipedia. I come from a world where people generally tell the truth, so to me primary sources are more accurate than secondary. However I'm coming to realise that in your world this isn't always the case and that therefore you put more trust in secondary sources, so I will see if I can get a bio of WBB from King's College and / or some of his colleagues. Unfortunately, all it takes is one person who says they are someone to force this type of reliance on secondary sources. :( Looking back at my note, it came off *way* harsher than I intended. I apologize.Naraht (talk) 19:02, 27 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
