Mantle of thanks[edit]

Nice polishing of Mantle (geology), thanks. There are plenty of articles which need your help, but rather than suggesting something I just encourage you to browse for whatever catches your interest. The Categories linked at the bottom of articles often help me find stuff which is related to another article but which may be more interesting than where I started from. Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Logo-vigneron Thmb.jpg[edit]

Thank you for uploading Image:Logo-vigneron Thmb.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this image under "fair use" may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the image description page and add or clarify the reason why the image qualifies for fair use. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a fair use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for images used under the fair use policy require both a copyright tag and a fair use rationale.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it might be deleted by adminstrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 13:24, 8 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Basis.gif suggestions[edit]

I have just a few suggestions for improving the readability of File:Basis.gif (edit | talk | history | links | watch | logs). Firstly, the texts for a1e1(α,β) and a2e2(α,β) could be placed to the left of their vectors, which would give space for the other texts to move around, and as a result for the text for a2e2(α,β) to become horizontal without introducing ambiguity. Secondly, if you could find a way to symbolize (α,β) so that is only take up as much space as it does in the legend, that would declutter the image immensely. Finally, I would suggest giving the lettering a white outline of at least a couple pixels' thick so as to avoid intersections with the coordinate grid. At some requests I re-coloured the image [[file:Basis.gif]]. Please revert it you think its better before. Apologies if you dislike my change, I'll not be offended if so. Thanks. F = q(E+v×B) ⇄ ∑ici 20:00, 3 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Hernlund, just to let you know this has been replaced by an svg version if it's ok (shortly after the modifications to the gif). As you're the original author, you are free to revert back to your original version if you so desire. Thank you for the clear and original design. Question about zeroth law[edit]

Hello, Hernlund. I was wondering where you got the example about zeroth law being necessary for an even number of systems in thermal equilibrium from... I actually think that the matrix (T_i - T_j) you consider vanishes in dimension 4 automatically too. The theorem takes care of odd dimensional matrices but the Pfaffian is also zero for N=4. I'm not sure, but I also don't see how one gets that T_i = T_j to get a vanishing determinant for even N, when N is greater than 2.

In any case,I've never heard about this application of the zeroth law, I am very interested in reading your sources. Please tell me how I can get those notes.

best, Manuel manuel_jesus_arredondo@hotmail.com

Taste of Roquefort[edit]

Your description of the taste of roquefort is original thought I think, wikipedia is not the right place to try and claim your perception of something as fact. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.66.141.207 (talk) 02:11, 5 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion of Inaugural dissertation[edit]

The article Inaugural dissertation has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Unreferenced for over eight years, fails WP:V

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist.
