Potential conflict of interest?[edit]

Since it appears that your contributions pertain only to Daan Roosegaarde and use promotional material from his studio, you may have a conflict of interest. To determine that question and disclose it, if appropriate, please review: WP:DISCLOSE. Sincerely, HopsonRoad (talk) 15:05, 21 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you User:HopsonRoad, yes I want to declare that this is a paid entry to Wiki, in which care was taken to provide all relevant information in the article in a neutral, informative manner, including citations to reliable sources. Please advise, where can I make the statement of intention?
Please read remember to sign posts on talk pages with ~~~~ (found at the bottom of the edit window)!
To answer your question, please review WP:DISCLOSE. If you'd like, I can use the disclosure template on your behalf. You can also make a statement in the edit summary of any COI contribution. To maintain a neutral point of view it's good to avoid MOS:PEACOCK (laudatory terminology).
Note that I used colons (:: to indent this conversation. Sincerely, HopsonRoad (talk) 15:33, 21 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
User:HopsonRoad thank you very much for your advice. I will read the suggested article and work on the edits. Please add the disclosure template on my behalf, much appreciated.Heyhelenhartmann (talk) 17:06, 21 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
thank you for your support and fixing things HopsonRoad Heyhelenhartmann (talk) 14:48, 22 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
And thank you for your understanding, Heyhelenhartmann, while I was doing that! Wikipedia procedures and standards can be bewildering to new editors. I tried to do three things: 1) Make sure that there was a reliable, published reference for each statement. 2) Paraphrase that reference in the article (avoiding duplication of copyrighted wording without quotes). and 3) Adhere to WP:TONE, which calls for content to be written in a formal tone, not the complex or oblique language found in art reviews. Cheers, HopsonRoad (talk) 15:00, 22 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Images[edit]

Hi Heyhelenhartmann, at this stage the most impactful contribution that you could make to the article would be to add images. Note that Wikimedia has very strict policy, regarding licensing copyrighted material. So, you may upload and freely license images that you made yourself at: https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Special:UploadWizard. However, images by others require their permission to freely license them in Wikimedia Commons via the OTRS process, seen at: https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Commons:Volunteer_Response_Team. I eliminated the gallery and placed the images near the pertinent text in the article per WP:IMAGELOCATION. The earlier portions of the article would benefit from pertinent images. Cheers, HopsonRoad (talk) 15:37, 22 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

BTW, other extant Roosegaarde images are found at https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Category:Daan_Roosegaarde. Cheers, HopsonRoad (talk) 17:11, 22 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

trying to add images from the Studios Press Room (thus rights-free) but none of the options were acceptedHeyhelenhartmann (talk) 10:14, 24 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
If there's a link, I can try. I would need to know by what theory such material was freely licensed in reference to: Copyright rules by territory/Netherlands. HopsonRoad (talk) 14:02, 24 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Hi,the press room is here https://pressroom.studioroosegaarde.net/ and the photos belong to Studio Roosegaarde (All Rights Reserved © Studio Roosegaarde). I am trying to add Grow6 (Grow), 6sparkroosegaarde (Spark Bilbao) and 01-waterlichtmuseumpleinroosegaarde0 (Waterlicht)Heyhelenhartmann (talk) 16:51, 24 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
For those, you would have to obtain a licensing agreement with the copyright holder via the Commons:Volunteer Response Team process. I can do that, if you inform me who the specific contact is. HopsonRoad (talk) 17:50, 24 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Update: I have contacted pr@studioroosegaarde.net on this matter. HopsonRoad (talk) 18:04, 24 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Suggestion: If your PR department has not receive my email, suggest that they check their spam folder for one from "HopsonRoad". HopsonRoad (talk) 12:41, 25 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I saw an new image/video in the article, for which, thank you HopsonRoad.Heyhelenhartmann (talk) 20:29, 27 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

New portrait license problem[edit]

Hi, Heyhelen. You should attend the lack of license problem at https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:DAAN_ROOSEGAARDE.jpg. Otherwise, it will be deleted. HopsonRoad (talk) 19:27, 17 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hi HopsonRoad, the image is free to use via the press room, as stated in the press kit T&C's 'Images and movies can be used freely when credited with ‘Daan Roosegaarde’ and a link is made to "www.studioroosegaarde.net", Creative Commons Non-Commercial applies to all material. So could this label be correct - CC BY-SA 3.0? Heyhelenhartmann (talk) 20:48, 17 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
You still need to fix the "License" entry with CC-BY-SA 3.0. Otherwise, the image will be deleted. HopsonRoad (talk) 22:14, 17 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I see that Vincent van den Hoogen is the photographer and not you (the uploader). I suggest that you use the process at https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Commons:Volunteer_Response_Team to get his permission conveyed to Wikimedia Commons. Cheers, HopsonRoad (talk) 23:47, 17 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for the advice HopsonRoad, I will get on it and correct it.Heyhelenhartmann (talk) 08:24, 21 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
