The task force dedicated to creating and improving articles on all German cities and municipalities is happy to announce that there are now (at least) stub articles for all municipalities of Germany. Now the task force is looking for help in fleshing these out a little bit. The current phase of activity for the task force is to copy in infoboxes from the articles in German Wikipedia. If you want to help, even just for a few articles, look at the instructions and links here
There are now way over 26.000 articles tagged as part of our Wikiproject and many still need either an importance or a quality assessment. Also there are many more out there that do need to be tagged like approx 8000 municipalities. Re your note[edit]
Heins, my approach has been to try to de-escalate a long-running dispute that, until you resurrected it on the article talk-page, had all but died out. I repeat: you seem to be arguing tendentiously against the consensus position. There's nothing wrong with challenging a consensus, but if after a reasonable amount of time and discussion you haven't persuaded editors over to your point of view, you should recognise that and drop the subject as gracefully as possible. Continuing to flog the dead horse in the way you have been is seen as disruptive. Saying that you're simply requesting sources is misleading - not because you don't have a right to ask for sources, but because you're going over ground that has already been discussed again and again. I find your complaints about other editors largely groundless - by endlessly contesting the article, you've provoked a frustrated reaction. This is regrettable, but we're all human and quite frankly there's no way I'm going to penalise established editors in good standing with track records of writing quality articles, simply because they've become fed up arguing with you and let their frustration show.
Because you believe that I've misused my administrative tools by taking sides in a content dispute, I'll shortly be opening a thread on WP:ANI to request outside review of my actions. A troll seem to have has risen his ugly head in the Messerschmitt Bf 109 article, and is on the path of initiating an edit war with barely hidden motives. If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either
- make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
- Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. Friedrich von Mellenthin & Panzer Battles[edit]
If you have the time, I would appreciate your help dealing with another editor on the von Mellenthin page and that author's book "Panzer Battles" Sources and statements injected into the article claim the book is revising history and is about race. I started a thread on the talk page and this editor has also claimed that soviet Russia's military prowess and not it's size/material advantage is how Germany was overcome. I don't think I am going to be able to come to any consensus with the other editor and as I am new to WP, I started to get into an edit war with him without realizing how things work around here. User group for Military Historians[edit]

"Military history" is one of the most important subjects when speak of sum of all human knowledge. To support contributors interested in the area over various language Wikipedias, we intend to form a user group. It also provides a platform to share the best practices between military historians, and various military related projects on Wikipedias. An initial discussion was has been done between the coordinators and members of WikiProject Military History on English Wikipedia. Now this discussion has been taken to Meta-Wiki. Contributors intrested in the area of military history are requested to share their feedback and give suggestions at Talk:Discussion to incubate a user group for Wikipedia Military Historians.

Points can be earned through reviewing articles on the AutoCheck report, reviewing articles listed at WP:MILHIST/ASSESS, reviewing MILHIST-tagged articles at WP:GAN or WP:FAC, and reviewing articles submitted at WP:MILHIST/ACR. Service awards and barnstars are given for set points thresholds, and the top three finishers will receive further awards.
