Removal of content on French mother sauces

My initial revert of your edit was based on the fact that you removed over 16,000 bytes of content while citing that it was "badly written" and "contained OR". While it may be true that it contained OR, I don't think it's fair to say that the entire section needed to be deleted on that basis. The talk page for this article seems to have a number of disputes in which you claimed that material needed to be removed, which was contested by others: this doesn't look like much of a consensus. If you'd like to open an RfC, I can assist in writing one, but I would prefer not to enter a revert war. jp×g 23:44, 6 June 2021 (UTC)

Did you actually read the section, and compare it to the section above? It is called "Expanded history" and is basically a repeat of the above "History" section with added OR. I don't think there is anything significant that is not repeated or OR. You have added it to the article again without saying which parts of it you think are relevant or necessary.

As the section is tagged as needing cleanup, and there has been no meaningful discussion on the talk page about it for 6 months, I am working to clean up the section, initially removing the original research. Hello Hippo43, Firstly I wanted to thank you for helping out with the Date shake article. The other reason why I am contacting you here is to state that I am not interested in engaging in an edit war with you, nor anyone else for that matter. My edit summaries may have shown frustration at badly written parts of the article, but have not been personal at all.
