Proposed deletion of Simon Kerr[edit]

The article Simon Kerr has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Questionable notability, doesn't appear to meet WP:ATHLETE.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. Photos[edit]

Hi Hippomenes, it was great to see your ferry photos. I was hoping for more - as would the rest of wikipedia - free and useable images are hard to come by. It seems to me that it's just an adminsitrative and/or descriptive things that's missing. Let's hope we can keep them. Lots of photos do get uploaded illegitimately and it's good that the admins monitor this, but in this case I assume they are indeed your photos, and thus are valid. regards --Merbabu (talk) 01:42, 1 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Photos marked for deletion[edit]

Scanned a bunch of 35mm negatives last week (from early 1980s) and uploaded slightly enhanced / cropped pictures to Wikipedia. Apart from one note of thanks, only official reaction has been to mark them for deletion. If this is the Wikipedia way - admonish rather than assist - so be it, but I want no part of such a miserable, backward-looking organisation. This is 2019 not 1939, and while I'm certain there are good legal reasons for doing whatever it is Wikipedia is doing, this is not how to manage it. The whole user / talk page edifice is impenetrable; I can't find a way of commenting on the discussion around my own pictures despite promising hyperlinks that ultimately lead nowhere. Wikipedia can be a litle, um, bossy. But we have asked for assistance. I think it will be OK...a few people have questioned the deletion proposal. You just need to provide a bit more info.
