Ganda na ng San Mateo, Rizal article! Good job Hirolionheart!! Secaundis (talk) 11:42, 7 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks din![edit]

Thanks din! Aug. 29 ko pa cnimulan iedit ang Sta. Maria, Bulacan article. Mtgal ko ng pnanonood mga edits mo sa San Mateo Rizal article. Secaundis (talk) 23:38, 7 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I thought that San Miguel was the 18 largest, meron pa palang nakalimutan. Thanks for correcting! --Secaundis • (myTalk) • (myContribs) 16:10, 3 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Largest municipalities/cities templates[edit]

Hello. I don't think these templates are useful enough to be crammed into the corresponding articles. Please see WP:NAVBOX for the relevant guidelines. The fact that City A and City B are among the most populous is just a trivial connection between the two cities unlike saying City C and City D are both in province X. --seav (talk) 01:42, 4 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

San Mateo, Rizal contributions[edit]

Hi. I've noticed that you've put a lot of information to this article and you even included the transportation routes and landmarks (banks, gas stations, malls, etc.) located in San Mateo. Please bear in mind that Wikipedia is not an indiscriminate collection of information and Wikipedia is not a directory. The transportation routes and landmarks must be removed since it violates these policies. Please read WP:NOT for further information on this policy. Thanks. -danngarcia (talk) 12:34, 20 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Please read WP:NOT before reverting my edits. Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, not a directory. Thanks. -danngarcia (talk) 00:31, 21 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Why are you still reverting my edits? Please read Wikipedia's policies first before doing anything with that article. -danngarcia (talk) 10:21, 22 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit waraccording to the reverts you have made on San Mateo, Rizal. Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions on a single page within a 24 hour period. Additionally, users who perform a large number of reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring, even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing. Please do not repeatedly revert edits, but use the talk page to work towards wording and content that gains a consensus among editors. If necessary, pursue dispute resolution. Who then was a gentleman? (talk) 21:52, 22 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

May I suggest you contribute your edits at Wikitravel? Who then was a gentleman? (talk) 21:52, 22 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

July 2009[edit]

You have been blocked from editing for a period of 72 hours in accordance with Wikipedia's blocking policy for persistently adding controversial information to articles without any communication attempts; edit warring. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make constructive contributions. If you believe this block is unjustified, you may contest the block by adding the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} below, but you should read our guide to appealing blocks first. To danngarcia and Who then was a gentleman?:
Sorry but I do not recognize your deletion of the subsections I added. They are fed back positively in our website Batang San Mateo. In fact, they are indeed very helpful and useful to the residents of San Mateo also with other people who want to know more and visit our place. Many other articles here in Wikipedia are even worse than of San Mateo, Rizal. Please note that I do not just append information, instead, I carefully research and verify them within our community which are not available in the internet. Hence, I find your decision unfair. I am living in San Mateo for almost 13 years hence I know more about our place more than you do. However, I am sorry for not using talk immediately because I am a busy college student doing various academic tasks.

Thank You!

One of Wikipedia's policies is of no original research, so your research and verification is prohibited here. The length of time you have lived in San Mateo is irrelevant. There was no need to respond to your talk page concerns immediately - but one has been pending without your response since June 2. I'd say six weeks is more than reasonable. Tan | 39 23:46, 23 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I'm sorry but "I do not recognize your deletion" is not an appropriate comment in Wikipedia. You do not own the article, and you are violating the WP:NOT policy. As I suggested above, your edits would belong better at Wikitravel. You might do more discussion on Talk pages, you seem to have never used a Talk page. Who then was a gentleman? Copyright problem removed on San Mateo, Rizal[edit]

One or more portions of the article duplicated other source(s). The material was copied from: http://www.batangsanmateo.com/about_sanmateo.htm http://www.nsdaps.edu.ph/aboutus.htm. Infringing material has been rewritten or removed and must not be restored, unless it is duly released under a compatible license. (For more information, please see "using copyrighted works from others" if you are not the copyright holder of this material, or "donating copyrighted materials" if you are.) For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or published material; such additions will be deleted. Contributors may use copyrighted publications as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences or phrases. Accordingly, the material may be rewritten, but only if it does not infringe on the copyright of the original or plagiarize from that source. Please see our guideline on non-free text for how to properly implement limited quotations of copyrighted text. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously, and persistent violators will be blocked from editing. While we appreciate contributions, we must require all contributors to understand and comply with these policies. Thank you. --JL 09 q?c 09:21, 31 August 2009 (UTC) --JL 09 q?c 09:21, 31 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Howdy, I wanted to let you know that we have received what a credible copyright claim on the above image through the OTRS system. I will be deleting the file as I was unable to verify that it was released through an appropriate licence. Before uploading anything else I would appreciate if you would read our copyright policy at Wikipedia:Copyright and please let me know if you have any questions. If you believe this deletion is in error please let us know either through an email to OTRS (to permissions-en@wikimedia.org) or through a message on my talk page or through email.

A tag has been placed on File:9 Waves Kiddie Pool.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted images or text borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hang on}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion, or "db", tag; if no such tag exists, then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hang-on tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. File permission problem with File:American Arrival.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:American Arrival.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file agreed to license it under the given license.

If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Acather96 (talk) 17:59, 26 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

File permission problem with File:Ph seal rizal san mateo.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Ph seal rizal san mateo.jpg.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

You may wish to read the Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. –Drilnoth (T/C) 22:14, 20 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

File source problem with File:View from Timberland Heights 2.jpg[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:View from Timberland Heights 2.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the page from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of the website's terms of use of its content. If the original copyright holder is a party unaffiliated with the website, that author should also be credited. Please add this information by editing the image description page.

If the necessary information is not added within the next days, the image will be deleted. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.

Please refer to the image use policy to learn what images you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. Please also check any other files you have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads. If you have any questions or are in need of assistance please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. –Drilnoth (T/C) 00:24, 21 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed blackout in protest of RA 10175[edit]

Dear Hirolionheart,

Greetings!

As a Filipino Wikipedian, I hope you are aware of the passage of Republic Act No. 10175, also known as the Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012, which was signed into law by President Benigno Aquino III on September 12, 2012. Currently, there is a discussion on the Tambayan, the noticeboard for Philippines-related topics, about a proposed blackout of the English Wikipedia in the Philippines in order to protest the passage of RA 10175, similar to the blackout against SOPA and PIPA held earlier this year. I feel that your input on the subject will definitely help in the discussion.

Please feel free to participate in the discussion at Wikipedia talk:Tambayan Philippines#The Cybercrime Prevention Act, and I hope your input will help the Filipino Wikipedia community determine which is the best course of action against this law. Similarly, we hope to get as much input from as many Wikipedians as possible.

Thank you and maraming salamat po!

Kind regards,

May 2014[edit]

Thank you for contributing to Wikipedia. We always appreciate when users upload new images. However, it appears that one or more of the images you have recently uploaded or added to an article, specifically Rizal, may fail our non-free image policy. Most often, this involves editors uploading or using a copyrighted image of a living person. For other possible reasons, please read up on our Non-free image criteria. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Werieth (talk) 16:23, 1 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. SM City San Mateo[edit]

While assume good faith, that you only seek to improve this article, and other San Mateo related articles. Let me explain, that I view that the version you reverted back to has problems with WP:NPOV, WP:ADVERT, and WP:NOTSEEALSO.

NPOV and ADVERT because you are misusing the "caption" section of the infobox by placing the mall's userbox there. It is for the image above (which may not necessarily be the logo, but since the logo image is displayed above it should be "Mall logo") It is on the userbox usage guidelines itself found here. It should objectively present content about the mall and not in a promotional manner either promoting the mall itself, the companies involved and the town it is located.

I just trimmed the entries at the "See also" portion leaving nearby malls. I excluded SM Prime Holdings and SM Supermalls since it is already in the article itself as per WP:NOTSEEALSO.In fact as per the policy, all links should be removed since the links are already in Template:SMPH and Template:SM Department Store.
