Proposed deletion of Chandan Madan (Indian actor)

The article Chandan Madan (Indian actor) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

BLP, fails GNG and BIO. SIngle source in article is IMDB. BEFORE showed nothing that meets SIGCOV addressing the subject directly and indepth, promo, database listings, etc. WP:BLP states "Be very firm about the use of high-quality sources"'; BLPs need IS RS with SIGCOV addressing the subject directly and indepth for both content and notability to avoid abuse per well known core policy (WP:V and WP:BLP) and guidelines (WP:BIO and WP:IS, WP:RS, WP:SIGCOV).

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. And yet an article was made on the Chandan Maidan actor before this, why did the Wikipedia administrator convert him to a cricketer? Hiyicam (talk) 14:59, 28 April 2023 (UTC)

When you moved the article out of draft space, despite my plea NOT to do so and work on getting it through the process, the only option for such a sub-par article is to nominate it for deletion. Do they meet WP:NACTOR? From what's sourced in the article, no they don't. That's where you should have started. Multiple significant roles in notable shows. Articles in quality sources that have significant coverage of Madan.

The article at Chandan_Madan was originally on the actor but it was changed to a redirect because the actor wasn't notable. See [1]. The next edit a month+ later was to create it based on the cricket player that does meet the WP:NCRICKET. Again, it's all about notability. You say the actor is notable, but the article doesn't support that. Wikipedia articles are about what's supported by sources, not what you want to be in there.
