Not a single vendor has implemented any ISO 8601 basic formats. At best vendors have implemented 2/3rds of the ISO 8601 extended formats. Are you more interested in nitpicking the existing documentation than solving why the ISO 8601 has not been implemented universally like:

  · UNICODE (ASCII)
  · Binary 2's complement.
  · IEEE 754 floating point.

IEEE 854 failed because it failed to specify bit encoding. Do you believe ISO 8601 will become universally implemented without bit encoding? Hjwoudenberg (talk) 09:26, 9 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
