May 2012[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Please be aware of Wikipedia's policy that biographical information about living persons must not include unsupported or inaccurate statements. Whenever you add possibly controversial statements about a living person to an article or any other Wikipedia page, as you did to Hadi Azizi, you must include proper sources. If you don't know how to cite a source, you may want to read Wikipedia:Referencing for beginners for guidelines. Thank you. You need to be careful about providing references for things like this. NeilN talk to me 00:16, 22 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

The article John Anthony Brooks has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, all newly created biographies of living persons must have at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within ten days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. noq (talk) 16:43, 10 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on John Anthony Brooks, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion debate, such as at articles for deletion. Under the specified criteria, where an article has substantially identical content to that of an article deleted after debate, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.

If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. noq (talk) 17:17, 10 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

File:Croatia football federation.png[edit]

Hi Hockeysoccertennis. File:Croatia football federation.png is a non-free logo which means that each usage of it must comply with Wikipedia's non-free content policy. The usage of this particular file was previously discussed at Wikipedia:Non-free content review/Archive 69#File:Croatia football federation.png and the consensus of the discussion was to remove it from all articles except Croatian Football Federation. If you disagree with this close the please read WP:CLOSECHALLENGE and follow the steps listed there. You can also ask the editor who closed the discussion (Brustopher) to reconsider his close or the editor who nominated the file for discussion at WP:NFCR (Stefan2) to reconsider the reasons for his original nomination. -- Marchjuly (talk) 21:04, 11 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

File:SAIPA Corporation logo.svg[edit]

File:SAIPA Corporation logo.svg's non-free usage is being discussed at Wikipedia:Files for discussion/2016 April 11#File:SAIPA Corporation logo.svg. Feel free to comment there if you would like to comment on its usage. Thank you. -- Marchjuly (talk) 21:38, 13 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

This file is a non-free logo which means that each usage of it must satisfy all 10 of the non-free content criteria listed in WP:NFCCP. This file's usage in Saipa F.C. does not currently satisfy WP:NFCC#10c because the file lacks the specific, separate non-free use rationale for this particular usage. The is also the issue of No. 17 of WP:NFC#UUI because the file is listed as the logo of the SAIPA corporation and the consensus of previous WP:NFCR/WP:FFD discussions has been to generally allow the usage in the article about the "parent" entity, but not allow usage in articles about any "child" entities. Feel free to comment on the file's usage at the above-linked FFD discussion, but continuing to add it without fixing the problems with NFCC#10c is disruptive and a violation of policy. It is the responsibility of the editor wanting to use a non-free image to make sure it complies with all 10 non-free content criteria and provide a valid non-free use rationale per WP:NFCCE. Continuing to revert in such a manner is likely to be seen as edit warring as well as a violation of WP:3R, and will be discussed at WP:AN3. Now it's possible that this file may be considered to be too simply for copyright protection, which means it will not be subject to NFCC. Determining such things, however, can be tricky so if you have any comments on this then plesae add them to the FFD discussion or change the licensing yourself. You can ask for other opinions about this at WT:FFD or WP:MCQ if you like as well. Thank you. -- Marchjuly (talk) 21:54, 13 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. The Wikipedia:WikiProject Asia/The 10,000 Challenge has recently started, based on the UK/Ireland Wikipedia:The 10,000 Challenge and Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The 10,000 Challenge. The idea is not to record every minor edit, but to create a momentum to motivate editors to produce good content improvements and creations and inspire people to work on more countries than they might otherwise work on. There's also the possibility of establishing smaller country or regional challenges for places like South East Asia, Japan/China or India etc, much like Wikipedia:The 1000 Challenge (Nordic). For this to really work we need diversity and exciting content and editors from a broad range of countries regularly contributing. At some stage we hope to run some contests to benefit Asian content, a destubathon perhaps, aimed at reducing the stub count would be a good place to start, based on the current Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The Africa Destubathon which has produced near 200 articles in just three days. If you would like to see this happening for Asia, and see potential in this attracting more interest and editors for the country/countries you work on please sign up and being contributing to the challenge! This is a way we can target every country of Asia, and steadily vastly improve the encyclopedia. We need numbers to make this work so consider signing up as a participant! Thank you. --Ser Amantio di NicolaoChe dicono a Signa?Lo dicono a Signa. 04:50, 20 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion of Meysam Joudaki[edit]

The article Meysam Joudaki has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Article about a footballer who fails WP:GNG and who has not played in a fully pro league.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Non-free use of Football Federation Islamic Republic of Iran.png[edit]

The non-free use of File:Football Federation Islamic Republic of Iran.png was discussed at Wikipedia:Files for discussion/2016 February 17#File:Football Federation Islamic Republic of Iran.png and the consensus was that the file's not free use is only appropriate in Football Federation Islamic Republic of Iran. The discussion was closed by an administrator named Graeme Bartlett, so if you disagree with the close or have questions about it, then please discuss your concerns with Graeme per WP:CLOSECHALLENGE. If you feel that File:Teammelli watermark.png should not be used, then remove it, discuss it on the article's talk page or start a discussion about it at WP:FFD. Re-adding the federation logo is not the way to resolve this and continuing to do so is going to be seen as disruptive/edit warring and a copyright violation and will eventually lead to WP:AN3. -- Marchjuly (talk) 01:14, 8 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

New article[edit]

Hi. Please start the article "Giorgi Gvelesiani" -the Georgian football player. Thanks — Preceding unsigned comment added by Γεωργός (talkcontribs) 15:29, 12 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

The article Afrang Daffe has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, this biography of a living person will be deleted after seven days unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp/dated}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within seven days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. ‡ Єl Cid of ᐺalencia ᐐT₳LKᐬ 13:31, 13 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]
