Deletion would be biased and based on personal opinions of those with no knowledge of the subject in the article. There are no substantiated reasons or arguments -- no facts to prove this article is intended to promote the author's claims.

The article Law of identity and Torah has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

This article is intended to promote the author's own views. Violates WP:OR, WP:SOAP, WP:COI

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. andy (talk) 13:02, 23 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Nomination of Law of identity and Torah for deletion[edit]

A discussion is taking place as to whether the article Law of identity and Torah is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.

The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Law of identity and Torah until a consensus is reached, and anyone is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on good quality evidence, and our policies and guidelines.

Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion template from the top of the article. andy (talk) 11:17, 24 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the reply. I'm being accused that my article is intended to promote my own religious views. My position is that those opposing my article are mostly ignorant on the subject, and people tend to be biased about thing they are unfamiliar with.

REPLY[edit]

I apologize if I wasn't clear enough. I was in a bit of a hurry. "Faith" to me means what one believes to be true (opinion) and not necessarily "religious faith," and by "religious judgements," I meant judging a person's "religious views" (as has been said about my article) without knowing the person. This is something I feel I have experienced here.

Steven J. Anderson[edit]

Hi. Welcome to Wikipedia. I saw your message on Steven J. Anderson's talk page, in which you stated "You know apparently nothing about the subject, and you are only making biased religious judgements based on your faith. Please stop your vandalism", and feel it's necessary to point out a few things.

First, an editor's personal knowledge of a given subject is not the basis for edit's validity or lackthereof. Wikipedia can be edited by anyone, including both experts and laymen, precisely because the validity of edits is predicated on the citation of reliable sources, and the proper interpretation of Wikipedia policies, and not personal knowledge. Steven J. Anderson, for his part, removed that wikilink because he felt the article it linked to was an essay soon to be deleted, which is a matter of Wikipedia policy, and not personal knowledge of the subject. If you disagreed with this rationale, then you should discuss it with Steven on that article's talk page.

Second, you do not know what his personal knowledge or his faith is. Please do not make such assumptions about ulterior motives on the part of other editors, unless you can establish said motives, and their relevance, with evidence or reasoning that excludes all other explanations. Making accusations about editors in this way is a violation of the Assume Good Faith policy.

Lastly, vandalism is an intentional attempt to disrupt or compromise the integrity Wikipedia. It does not refer to edits that you merely disagree with. If Steven J. Anderson sincerely believed his edit was justified (i.e., a good faith edit), then that is not vandalism. Please make sure not to level this accusation against editors you disagree with. Try instead to talk things over with them, and ask others for their opinions if necessary.

If you have any other questions about editing, just let me know by leaving a message for me in a new section at the bottom of my talk page. Thanks. Nightscream (talk) 08:47, 29 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I've removed your link yet again, but this is the last time I shall do so until the AfD reaches its inevitable conclusion shortly. I removed it because only will the target article be shortly deleted, but your recent changes have rendered it even less relevant to Law of identity and indeed almost incomprehensible. Restore the link by all means if you really must, but it won't do any good in the long term. andy (talk) 18:18, 30 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Deleting your account[edit]

Hello. You asked about how to delete your account. There's an explanation at Wikipedia:UN#Deleting_an_account which I'll quote in full below:

"It is not possible to delete user accounts, as all contributions must be assigned to some identifier; either a username or, in the case of anonymous contributions, an IP address. Editors seeking privacy per their right to vanish can have their accounts renamed and their user pages and (in some cases) user talk pages deleted."

So, if you want to take this further, you need to read the information about your right to vanish. You may need to contact an administrator for help (not me, I'm not one) - you can do this at WP:RAA. Regards andy (talk) 10:41, 2 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
