Copyright infringement[edit]

I can see that you are a new editor, but you need to know that Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously. You must not copy and paste text from sources you find on the web into articles as you did in the article Ross Parry. I have removed the infringing text, but the material you copied is subject to copyright, as is almost everything on the web, and when creating or expanding articles, you should completely rewrite the information in the source using your own words. Your submission at Articles for creation: Tom Kershaw (September 12)[edit]

Your recent article submission has been rejected. If you have further questions, you can ask at the Articles for creation help desk or use Wikipedia's real-time chat help. The reason left by Robert McClenon was: This topic is not sufficiently notable for inclusion in Wikipedia. The comment the reviewer left was: This page is currently blank. It may have been resubmitted after being declined in order to annoy the reviewers or for some other inappropriate reason.

The title of this page is the name of a non-notable musician whose articles have been deleted twice. See Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Tom Kershaw and Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Tom Kershaw (2nd nomination). If this is another effort to publish an article on this non-notable musician, it didn't succeed.

Do not resubmit this.

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Tom Kershaw requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a real person or group of people that does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. After some consideration I found that the article indeed meets Wikipedia's criteria for speedy deletion. We have deleted articles on Kershaw before; the new one didn't come any closer to showing that he's notable (much less "of national significance"). I'll add that you obviously have a conflict of interest regarding Kershaw; it's considered best practice to disclose such a conflict of interest (if you're paid, it's not just best practice but a requirement).
