YOu can try restoring them but add more context. I have a hands-off policy on radio station articles nowadays. –Howard the Duck 11:21, 3 November 2009 (UTC)

Adminship

Do you have any interest in becoming an administrator? Is there any reason you're not already one, or any reason I'm not aware of that would prevent you from a successful WP:RFA? I could nominate you. You've been an incredibly very active and helpful contributor. Unless there are problems I'm not aware of, you should pass easily. TheCoffee (talk) 09:42, 15 November 2009 (UTC)

I'd pass. RFA is broken like a... broken record. –Howard the Duck 09:57, 15 November 2009 (UTC)

DYK for Manila local elections, 2010

Updated DYK query On November 19, 2009, Did you know? was updated with a fact from the article Manila local elections, 2010, which you created or substantially expanded. You are welcome to check how many hits your article got while on the front page (here's how) and add it to DYKSTATS if it got over 5,000. If you know of another interesting fact from a recently created article, then please suggest it on the Did you know? talk page.

Jc Altura

The Aguinaldo image looks fine to me [2], it's on Commons so compatible anywhere on en:wiki, right? The other ones, no (plus the editor has understandable trouble formatting tables). That one image looks OK though, should it go back in? Franamax (talk) 13:21, 25 November 2009 (UTC)

I'd use this one instead since it's a head shot. –Howard the Duck 13:24, 25 November 2009 (UTC)
For a list article, maybe a portrait would be more appropriate. The photo is more interesting 'cause he's wired up to something but that only distracts from the purpose of the list. Yes, your idea is better. Franamax (talk) 13:40, 25 November 2009 (UTC)

FIBA

I see you added a note about the continental non-senior tournaments. What are you looking at that makes you think those are considered at all? I don't see it mentioned on the "How it works" page on FIBA's website. MrArticleOne (talk) 04:01, 30 November 2009 (UTC)

Points from Asian teams changed after FIBA Asia Under-16 Championship 2009. For some reason, the rankings page didn't change but the snippets you see at the right side changed. –Howard the Duck 04:06, 30 November 2009 (UTC)
It seems methodologically suspect to have the youth world championships worth 25% 20% of the senior world championships, but to have the youth continental championships on a par with the senior continental championships. MrArticleOne (talk) 05:47, 30 November 2009 (UTC)
I haven't monitored the rankings, and it still lists "after EuroBasket 2009". If they had changed right after EuroBasket to now (there were several U-16 championships held after that) it could account for the changes. –Howard the Duck 09:03, 30 November 2009 (UTC)

File:2006 EDSA Shrine grab.JPG listed for deletion

An image or media file that you uploaded or altered, File:2006 EDSA Shrine grab.JPG, has been listed at Wikipedia:Files for deletion. Please see the discussion to see why this is (you may have to search for the title of the image to find its entry), if you are interested in it not being deleted. Thank you. Damiens.rf 13:45, 2 December 2009 (UTC)

The article Manila_local_elections,_2010 has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Article is supposed to be covered into more specific [[3]] where same procedures in electoral process does held. The "notability" of facing off of former mayors and incumbent mayors during elections are not new. The process of election in Manila is also the same of local elections held in the Philippines all throughout.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the Proposed Deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The Speedy Deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and Articles for Deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. JL 09 q?c 13:18, 3 December 2009 (UTC)

Send it to AFD, instead. –Howard the Duck 13:22, 3 December 2009 (UTC)

I have nominated Manila local elections, 2010, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Manila local elections, 2010. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.

Please contact me if you're unsure why you received this message. JL 09 q?c 13:25, 3 December 2009 (UTC)

Message on the Schedules on the TV network articles

Schedules at the Articles, no way for that! Howard, If your seen the article about the schedules of the American TV article, there was schedule for 4 seasons? please forgive me - User:Gabbyshoe —Preceding undated comment added 12:20, 13 December 2009 (UTC).

I have an understanding with that user that he had to remove schedules for American TV articles first. I'm also in favor of their removal, as long as it is applied consistently. –Howard the Duck 13:48, 13 December 2009 (UTC)

AfD for Philippine election article

Hi Howard, I thought it best to approach you on your talk page first to ensure that the AfD that we're both currently involved in doesn't become too unfriendly. I didn't want to template you because I thought that would make me uncivil myself! Regarding your comment about civility, according to WP:CIVIL, "Even during heated debates, editors should behave politely, calmly and reasonably, in order to keep the focus on improving the encyclopedia and to help maintain a pleasant editing environment." To me, this means that basically, 'civility is a given. It doesn't have to be earned'. I know you might have a different view, and I would very much like to hear this so that we can make an action plan on how to move forward. JulieSpaulding (talk) 08:02, 8 January 2010 (UTC)

An editor has nominated one or more articles which you have created or worked on, for deletion. The nominated articles are Philippine House of Representatives elections in Caraga, 2010, Philippine House of Representatives elections in the Ilocos Region, 2010. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also Wikipedia:Notability and "What Wikipedia is not").

Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion(s) by adding your comments to the relevant discussion pages: Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Philippine House of Representatives elections in Caraga, 2010 for Philippine House of Representatives elections in Caraga, 2010, Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Philippine House of Representatives elections in the Ilocos Region, 2010 for Philippine House of Representatives elections in the Ilocos Region, 2010. Please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).

You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate.

Please note: This is an automatic notification by a bot. I have nothing to do with this article or the deletion nomination, and can't do anything about it. --Erwin85Bot (talk) 01:08, 9 January 2010 (UTC)

ANI stuff

Hi. :) I see you left a note of the ANI listing at the AfD itself, but I just wanted to let you know that it is currently required to notify other contributors of ANI discussions. (The header these days says, "You must notify any user that you discuss"; I don't know when that changed from a suggestion to a requirement, but it seems to have been a while ago.) I have notified Shannon Rose accordingly. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 13:57, 14 January 2010 (UTC)

Sorry. I had notified the people at the AFD, though. I thought it would've been OK since he frequents that place. –Howard the Duck 13:59, 14 January 2010 (UTC)
I didn't think you were trying to be secretive about it, given that AfD note, but since it's required thought I'd go ahead and take care of it. Since it hasn't always been required, I figured you might not know. :) --Moonriddengirl (talk) 14:52, 14 January 2010 (UTC)
Being secretive about it won't help on fixing the issue, but will probably worsen the situation; plus the fact the all of our edits can be tracked down it'll won't help on my part. –Howard the Duck 14:55, 14 January 2010 (UTC)

Template:Election

Your feedback factored considerably into how I made the template, so I would appreciate if you took a look at the template and left feedback on Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Elections and Referendums#Template:Election. Thank you. @harej 03:57, 18 January 2010 (UTC)

I replied on the elections and referendum project talk page. –Howard the Duck 05:19, 18 January 2010 (UTC)

Daniel Razon

From just one reference Shannon immediately reverted what I added. Now that I clarified what it was for and added more references in the article, I get the feeling he's going to revert all of them too. :-(

Is there anything you and the other Tambays can do to restrict him from doing just what he likes with impunity in these articles? I'm not affiliated with either ADD or INC (disclaimer: I subscribe to VCF for my spiritual guidance) but sometimes the mudslinging between these two is so ridiculous I feel the intellectual impression of Filipinos get downgraded with the hate and prejudice they show to each other in the wiki. --112.203.97.53 (talk) 04:26, 19 January 2010 (UTC)

Oh, he's been actively owning the Razon and Soriano articles since early 2008. I'll have to excuse myself, I'm not going to participate in this... if Shannon reverts the article I'll just post what I wrote about in the talk page, at least it could be used as references against future AfDs. Good luck and may your patience be long, Howard. --112.203.97.53 (talk) 05:04, 19 January 2010 (UTC)
I think even that guy would revert me, so I'd highly suggest informing the people at WP:BLP/N. Anons are welcome there. My only concerns for that article was to 1) save it from deletion and 2) move it to an unaccented name, and the first was done and the second is on its way. –Howard the Duck 06:42, 19 January 2010 (UTC)
For your first objective, I'm filling the article with reliable sources, which can be backed up in the talk page or referenced in a later AfD. As for the second, I'll probably hang around and support you in the talk page until the move request is done, too. Beyond that, I don't know, I'm not really keen on noticeboards which use templates to post in (which is why I'm only around Tambayan). --112.203.97.53 (talk) 10:49, 19 January 2010 (UTC)
It's not that hard anyway. You'd just copy and paste stuff. –Howard the Duck 12:02, 19 January 2010 (UTC)

Manuel L Quezon move to Manuel Quezon

Speedy deletion of Manuel Quezon

A tag has been placed on Manuel Quezon, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a redirect to an article talk page, image description page, image talk page, mediawiki page, mediawiki talk page, category talk page, portal talk page, template talk page, help talk, user page, user talk or special page from the main/article space.

If you can fix the redirect to point to a mainspace page, please do so and remove the speedy deletion tag. However, please do not remove the speedy deletion tag unless you are fixing the redirect. If you think the redirect should be retained as is for some reason, you can request that administrators wait a while before deleting it. To do this, affix the template {{hangon}} to the page and state your reasoning on the article's talk page. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. GA Reassessment of University of Santo Tomas

I have done a GA Reassessment of the University of Santo Tomas article as part of the GA Sweeps project. My review can be found here. I have only done a high level review at this point and found considerable issues with the article that will need to be addressed before a more thorough review can be undertaken. I have put the article on hold for a week pending work. I am notifying all interested editors and projects. If you have any questions or concerns please contact me on my talk page. H1nkles (talk) 21:40, 22 February 2010 (UTC)

I have declined the Speedy deletion request. The discussion at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Legislative district of Imus mentioned this, but did not decide to delete it. Feel free to either PROD it, or take it to AfD - my feeling is that it probably should be deleted as per Imus, but without specific agreement on this issue, it cannot be deleted at the moment.

Regards, -- PhantomSteve/talk|contribs\ 14:23, 25 February 2010 (UTC)

I screwed up. There's a separate AFD: Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Legislative district of Bacoor. Sorry for the mix-up (that's what happens when you copy-paste codes LOL). –Howard the Duck 14:30, 25 February 2010 (UTC)
No worries, I've now deleted it! When I saw the mention in the Imus AfD, I didn't look for another AfD! -- PhantomSteve/talk|contribs\ 14:37, 25 February 2010 (UTC)
