Reply to your budgie question[edit]

Yes, I think I could tell you your budgie's gender. But tell me a few things so I am absolutly sure. Does your budgie have an iris (a white ring around the pupil?) What color is the pink on the nose, is it slightly brownish or light light pink? Does the color of the cere look like this? Also, what season is it where you live right now? Based on what you've told me so far, I think it's a male. Tell me, how often have you heard it make a sound and what does it sound like? I'm also guessing that your budgie is still inmature, although a year and a half is a long time for it to reach maturity. If your bird is indeed inmature, there should only be a few more months before its cere becomes one color or the other (although not necessarily). My reasoning for guessing it's a male is because males are shy and get scared much easier than females. If a hand was brought in the cage, a male would most likely run away, as you described, as a female may just move away or lick your finger, or just stare bluntly at it. Males typically chirp all the type while most females are silent although they may make a "GAA-GAA-GAA" sound from time to time. -- penubag (talk) 21:28, 26 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

User page[edit]

Yes I designed my userpage myself. If you click "edit this page" at the top of my userpage or talk page you'll see confusing-looking symbols and things like that plus words like "background" (sorry I'm horrible at explaining things! I know how to do design the userpage I just can't explain it very well) and just copy and paste it to the top of your userpage.
