Government Aircraft

Could you help me revert move of "Government Aircraft" to "Japanese Air Force One" because it is breaking the links, as the "Government Aircraft" refers to many. Someone vandalize the page and moved the page name.

Nippon-koku seifu senyoki which means Japan Government Exclusive Aircraft not "Government Aircraft" is refer in english callsign of Japan Air Self Defense Force as "Japanese Air Force One" and Japanese Air Force Two during on official business, and Cygnus One and Cygnus Two when operating outside of official business.

coffee mate

I corrected the misleading assumption on the coffee mate page that it is dairy-free! This is NOT the case. It is lactose free. Lactose and dairy free are two totally different things! Lactose is a sugar that occurs naturally in milk, and other products, whereas dairy allergy suffers react to the protiens in milk - namely casinates and whey. How misleading this page is could be extrememly dangerous for someone with an allergy who is being looked after by someone who doesn't understand the difference between dairy and lactose intolerences or allergies. A quick google will confirm the differences, but having a child who is allergic to dairy and knowing of an idiot who thought they'd give me coffee mate whilst I am feeding him, so also can't have dairy could have resulted in a horrendous situation, and you know her source for it being dairy free? Wikipedia, and you won't even allow me to correct that misleading information. I trust this should clear that up, and stop you from accusing me of vandalism, and you will re-correct the page? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Bdlmn13 (talkcontribs) 20:22, 2 February 2015 (UTC)

Hi, your additional comments on the Benjamin Penny deletion page are very useful but they have contaminated existing comments and have led to confusion. Would you be able to go back and sort it out a bit because it now makes no sense. I think it is easier if you do it as you know what you were adding. While you are online could you look at Trent Zimmerman and see what you think about his deletion. Thanks Castlemate (talk) 23:24, 2 February 2015 (UTC)

I don't have an opinion of the deletion of Trent Zimmerman, nor did I !vote in Benjamin Pennys' deletion discussion. --I dream of horses (T) @ 03:23, 3 February 2015 (UTC)

I am still working on this page here: 2009 Australian Open – Women's Singles Qualifying

Obviously there is a lot of information to add, but it should end up looking like this: 2008 Australian Open – Women's Singles Qualifying, which I created earlier.

This will end up looking like all the other Qualifying pages, eg: 2015 Australian Open – Women's Singles Qualifying

Thanks

List of Breweries in Canada

Hello,

You removed a hyperlink on my edit of the "List of Breweries in Canada" page. I believe the link is relevant as many other entries have a link within the name.

Also, the edit seems to have completely removed the entry into the list so the brewery in question is no longer present. If this could change then that would be great.

I would request that the link is either restored, or, all of the other links to other breweries on that page are removed.

Regards,

Gregg I uploaded the first message without a subject by mistake and it seems to have attached to another users post. I'll try and edit that attachment out.

Apparently Wikipedia believes the post my post was added to is potentially unconstructive so I'm unable to delete my stuff that ended up there. This internet stuff is hard. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.78.204.50 (talk) 1:29, February 12, 2015‎

I don't think you understand. You added an external link. The other breweries already have an article, and have an internal link. I dream of horses (T) @ 9:26 pm, Yesterday (UTC−6)
Check out every link under the "British Columbia" Section.... Then the majority of the entries under the "Ontario" section. I'm not sure why you couldn't just remove the hyperlink and keep the entry so I'll just go back and add the entry. If you could still go back and remove all of the external hyperlinks for consistency as requested then that would be great. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.78.204.50 (talk) 10:49 pm, Yesterday (UTC−6)

We actually need a lot of sourcing to verify the sourcing in articles. This is particularly true for living people. You could read about our general notability guideline, and the notability guidelines as it applies to people. There is also guidelines about reliable sourcing and a skimable guide you can read about sourcing and notability. I realize this is a bit overwhelming; however, there is a steep learning curve for writing articles. --I dream of horses (T) @ 18:48, 13 February 2015 (UTC)

Little help with the Mauritius article

Hi, So there is a person who is currently editing the Mauritius article and keeps adding Bhojpuri as a vernacular language. I have checked the pages he cites as reference and I myself am very knowledgeable on that subject and I find that the edit should not have been made. I have tried removing his edit but he keeps changing it back. I would appreciate if you would stop him from continuing what he is doing because at this point he is most likely just a troll who wants to vandalize an article. Thank you — Preceding unsigned comment added by Shteeluck (talkcontribs) 12:05, 17 February 2015 (UTC)

This, I think, is more of an issue of competence than trying to vandalize an article. Vandalism is a severe accusation.

Peter "Snakey" Whitford

Hi man, this is Do you like hospital food?, i appreciate your kindness and civillity very much but i disagree with you that the page that it should be deleted, though somethings notabillity of something is really entirely up to individual opinion (which i think makes this whole process of deleting pages rather silly really) i do think Whitford is notable enough to have a page. While he does not lead a public life and is probably a bit past the age where he's putting stuff on the internet he did perform with the Avalanches, i'm not a fan myself but they are a notable Australian band, iconic actually. I've also noted him as a performer in several notable film an television programs but internet sites are unaware of this. The fact is i don't really understand why pages have to be deleted at all but i accept that that's the way it is, however i have seen several very notable people have their pages deleted over what i believe is a mislead understanding of notabillity (this is the first thing i have done under this username but i have been a page creator for years now) and i would hate to see it again. Also i tend to keep my pages small and basic because while i believe these people are notable i know they are not superstars. Thank you for your consideration. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Do you like hospital food? (talkcontribs) 06:34, 18 February 2015 (UTC)

Suneditor (talk) 04:34, 19 February 2015 (UTC)

Requesting inline citations, which I think @Bobrayner: is trying to do, isn't a personal attack. It's a request to remain in line with Wikipedia policies. Bobrayner didn't accuse you of vandalism; however, @Buckshot06: did after also reverting your edit and I see that you've accused Bobrayner of vandalism. --I dream of horses (T) @ 04:49, 19 February 2015 (UTC)

Thanks for the Invite

I like horses but do not dream of them. They are magnificent creatures and I was exposed to them at young age on grandparents farm. I do recall getting my foot stepped on and not being able to get the mare (a quarter horse) to get off my foot by pushing her back. My uncle said to punch her in the chest and that is the only time I ever hit a horse but I learned be more careful when around horses. No night mares either. LOL Thank you for invite and I have had many over the years. I like my independence and have no desire to create a Wikipedia persona despite many distrusting and abusing IP editors. I guess I am a rebel. Go Rebels!!!! Thanks again. 172.56.38.55 (talk) 05:25, 20 February 2015 (UTC)

I was a little panicked with such a large creature on my foot (it hurt to) when I was 11 and about 100 lbs. She was a good horse and probably did not even notice or at least she didn't mind stepping on my foot. She was fairly smart so maybe she thought it was funny, I always wondered if she was playing with me because she could of stepped on me harder. 172.56.38.55 (talk) 05:38, 20 February 2015 (UTC)

In that case, you could do a few things. There are some services that archive the internet (like wayback), and you could use one of them. You could also another website that state the same information, or an offline source. You can use {{dead link}} if everything else fails. --I dream of horses (T) @ 03:50, 20 February 2015 (UTC)

Edits

Hi there, Thank you for your warm welcome. I noticed that a review was done and there was need for a cleanup. May I ask, what do I do now? I don't want to be in violation of anything.

Thanks

Shantel Victor-Cole (talk) 05:23, 20 February 2015 (UTC)

Don't worry; if the article you wrote was really in violation of anything, it would've been nominated for deletion, but instead, there's just room for improvement. Namely, it needs links to other articles, other articles need to link back, and the inline citations need to be formatted in a way that prevents them from being outdated--this page ought to do the last thing, and you use two plain brackets to link to other Wikipedia articles. --I dream of horses (T) @ 05:27, 20 February 2015 (UTC)

I just went ahead and moved the bibliography instead. --I dream of horses (T) @ 04:43, 21 February 2015 (UTC)
Hello again. Thank you for your welcome and introductory hints. Yes, I understand why you might have removed the bibliography. Until I can work out a way to do it in a simpler fashion, the sources/references refer directly to some of the books listed in the bibilography that in turn provides the formal information to access those sources. In any case I would like to keep the bibliography visible as I know from experience that students and scholars alike have difficulty sourcing a working booklist on this subject - hence my re-instating the bibliography after making the other helpful corrections you suggested.
Its good to know there is someone out there to help. My one criticism would be that wiki instruction pages are so jargon-laden its quite difficult to work through them and I'm quite computer savvy. Hope the page now suits wikidemands and once again thank you for your help. Tdrlass Tdrlass (talk) 10:13, 21 February 2015 (UTC)
ALSO If I might ask on behalf of my other half . . . He has his eye on a wiki entry the on subject of which he is a recognised expert. The site has grown over many years but is now unwieldy and in many places out-of-date and innaccurate. What is the protocol about a complete re-write? Thanks again. Tdrlass (talk) 15:25, 21 February 2015 (UTC)
I'm sure he'd be considered an "expert editor". If he lacks a conflict of interest, he can edit the article directly; even with one, he may be able to negotiate changes on the article talk page so it can made less unwieldy. I dream of horses (T) @ 18:44, 24 February 2015 (UTC)
Thank you for the links to the appropriate pages, I'll point him in that direction.Tdrlass 14:50, 25 February 2015 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Tdrlass (talkcontribs)

Mobile Wikipedia content is missing compared to web content

Hi. I added Theatre and Awards sections to Eve Best's Wikipedia web page but they don't appear on the mobile app. Have I done something wrong? Ac159 (talk) 08:43, 25 February 2015 (UTC)

I never edit using a mobile device, so I don't know. Maybe someone might know at the teahouse. --I dream of horses (T) @ 15:50, 25 February 2015 (UTC)
Ok, thanks. I've posted a question at the teahouse. Ac159 (talk) 19:12, 25 February 2015 (UTC)

Thanks, but no thanks, for the welcome

Dear IDOH

Thanks, but I am quite pissed off with Wikipedia at the moment, and I don't want to edit under any of the 1,217 active accounts I have 122.162.81.145 (talk) 19:23, 26 February 2015 (UTC).

Revisions

Certainly some of the edit were useless, but when you're pranking a co-worker useless is rather quite necessary. I was going to put it back to normal after he had seen it. However, I am grateful that someone actually looks at the lesser wiki pages to save them from obvious vandalism.

cheers. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Hog451 (talkcontribs) 19:54, 26 February 2015 (UTC)

Thanks for trying to inject some humor; however, building an encyclopedia is kind of serious. Next time, try the sandbox. --I dream of horses (T) @ 21:23, 26 February 2015 (UTC)

Hi, wondering why my edits were reverted to previous version?

I just took a lot of time to uopdate a bio, and then saw it was reverted back tot he previous one.

--Vocalessence (talk) 19:56, 26 February 2015 (UTC)

Since @Theroadislong: reverted your edits, maybe s/he would be better to ask why that happened. --I dream of horses (T) @ 21:25, 26 February 2015 (UTC)

Facebook isn't considered a reliable source because it's user-generated content, and is apparently used for spam enough to be blacklisted. You need to use another source. --I dream of horses (T) @ 04:47, 27 February 2015 (UTC)

List of Members of the Aztec Club of 1847

You deleted Major General Zachary Taylor - President of the United States. Breithaupt's Aztec Club of 1847, published under the auspices of the Aztec Club and cited as a reference throughout that page, points out errors/omissions found when comparing past publications with the Club's archives. Specifically, Zachary Taylor has been found to have been an Original Member, as indicated in Breithaupt, at: p 3, Prominent Early Members, at pp 579-; p 1432.

The Aztec Club's web site states this at History of its Founding; Biographies of Original Members; Database of Mexican War Officers.

Another citation: Journal of the Order and Medals Society of America. April, 1992. Aztec Club of 1847. pp 35-40, at p 40. Info update (talk) 04:31, 27 February 2015 (UTC)

Not sure who you're trying to talk to, but my name in real life isn't Louisa. This is, however, how you talk to people on Wikipedia. --I dream of horses (T) @ 01:34, 28 February 2015 (UTC)

Am I doing this right?

Hi Louisa!

Didn't really know how to do this but got the hang of it i think..

My name isn't Louisa, but yes, you're doing it right. --I dream of horses (T) @ 03:41, 28 February 2015 (UTC)
