Point Rosee coordinates

OK, I get the logic about protecting archeological resources; indeed I used to be an volunteer warder of the San Carlos Pueblo site in New Mexico for the Archeological Conservancy. But the cat is out of the bag with the clear satellite pictures on the Nova show, from which I was easily able to find the real Point Rosee on Google Earth. I won't get into a tussle with you about it -- leave the Geo-Hack pointing a couple of kilometers away if you prefer. But I'd rather have correct information in the Pedia for the majority of folks who will never get any nearer to Newfoundland than a satellite picture and a TV show, while leaving on-the-ground protection of the place to the good citizens of Canada.

Hello,

I'm new to all this, but I'm not sure what was promotional about the addition of Chip Davis to this page. Too many superlatives? It is entirely factual and any page regarding the music of Omaha without this many times Grammy-nominated artist are incomplete. Please help me understand what's wrong here. Thanks.

Correction for my Huggle mistake?

I often see your good work on vandalism reversion. I thought you might know the answer to this, but if not, please don't spend any time on it. I clicked a good edit in Huggle by mistake. Do you know of any way to recall or undo such a mistaken click? It isn't like a mistake where one can go to the article and change it. I haven't been able to find any information on it but perhaps I am not looking in the right place. Perhaps it can't be undone. Again, I would appreciate your advice if you know, but don't spend any time trying to find the answer. Anyway while I'm not a Huggle user myself, I'm pretty sure that any edit done by Huggle can be undone via the standard editing interface just like any other edit (ie just click rollback or undo on your own edit). Creating a new page, that was previously deleted

Hi "I dream of horses",

I am new to wikipedia editing, it seems an odd way of communication but I'm having a go, so why am I messaging you?

I have a predicament in the fact I've started to create a page that had been deleted numerous times over the last 5 years or so.

The page in question is this: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Callum_Reynolds

I receive this message: The "editprotected" right is required to edit this page.

I understand you are not an administrator and you cannot authorise however I don't know who to contact nor how to do it nor that its been deleted numerous times that other non-footballing wiki admins will instantly dismiss it.

So why am I recreating a profile that was previously deleted? I am creating the various profiles of my favourite football team. They are a professional football (soccer) team in England, however I've come across one problem as I've tried to make a link from the main page of squad players from Callum Reynolds. Understandably it was deleted 5 years ago, when he was not a notable player but now he's made it to the professional ranks, is there anyway we can unblock this from the administrators and allow us wiki folk to edit and brush it up?

In the meantime, I've started to create a "Callum Reynolds" profile under my own username page until its ready to be published and linked up.

@Lasko26: You might have some luck at deletion review.

You could also talk to the admins that deleted the article and who are still actively editing to some degree. This includes Ged UK, X!, JamesBWatson, and Chrislk02. Just wondering, in relation to the Simon Harris (politician) post edits and re-edits. if there is no space for dissension or protest on Wikipedia? Is there not an argument to let the parties that the article relates to, to make or revert changes?

Also, out of curiosity, why do you make/revert these changes to a wide range of articles? Are you you a staff member of Wikipedia?

False information in Formula 4 series by another user

Hi. I've seen you've reviewed the article called 2016 Benelux Formula 4 Championships written by the user Andrusha01. I just wanted to inform you that the article has been entirely made up, as I'm a follower of lower formulae racing and there hasn't been any news on a Benelux F4 series other than the Dutch F4 Trophy that's integrated within the SMP F4 Championship. The same user made up another article entirely on the same subject, the false 2016 Las Americas Formula 4 Championships article. I'd propose them for instant deletion, but I'm still enduring to understand all the procedures, not being an English-native speaker; all I knew to do was warning the user not to add unsourced information. Did you get my email explaining why so much of the page in History of Renal Information Technology in the UK was so similar to my website RenalMed (that I referenced at the bottom)? Ie I wrote them both with a now retired nephrology (kidney doctor) colleague. It will not be long as other retired doctors read it, that the article will be very different

Of course, I can rewrite the thing to make it different

I am a little disappointed as this is the first time I have constructed a page on Wikipedia, and its an important subject. This is the story of the first complete medical registry in the world, the journey started in 1979, and finished in 2008. It will benefit many people if other doctors learn how to do it

Hi - I wanted to add my Band to a directory of rock bands. I have added the name of the band in the relevant plac eon the directory. The band is called April 16th. When I click on the entry for the band I'm redirected to a page discussing events on that date. So I need to create a page entitled April 16th. But the user name I chose when registering is Ikannuna. I chose this as a random naem not realising at that pooint that my band entry would be lloking for a page with that name , Can I change my username and then fill in inforamtion about the band to be read by those who click on teh name in the dirtectory pleaseIkannuna (talk) 18:05, 12 May 2016 (UTC)ikannuna

@Ikannuna: Unfortunately, I have found that it's generally a bad idea to write about a subject that you have an off-Wikipedia connection to, other than being strongly interested in that subject. People who do so often do so in a way that is non-neutral, intentionally or not, usually to the point where the article gets deleted. Some help with a requested move

Hello, I recently posted a new section requesting for a move on the talk page of iKon (South Korean band).

I was advised to use {{subst:requested move}}, but I have some uncertainties about the template. I was wondering whether I should I edit everything I've written previously and place it into the 'reason' part of {{subst:requested move}} template or do I simply write a summarized version of my argument in the 'reason' part ?

I've written quite a lengthy argument and I'm a bit confused with the template so any help or tips would be great. If I do copy and paste my post to the request section, would it be advised to delete my previous post (seeing as how they would basically be saying the same thing again?)

If you could help I would appreciate it.

I have noticed that users can sometimes post very negative and damaging articles eg Repton School. Reading this page a particular user has obviously a grudge against this school as it is not written neutrally. Looking at the editing history all the negative text has been done by one user. @88redcar: It appears that this is mostly an issue of too much weight being put on the negative.

The first thing you should do is try talking to the editor on the talk page.
