Cameron Moulene page[edit]

hi! @I dream of horses: sorry to bother, you rejected my draft page on the actor Cameron Moulene a while ago, completely understandable. I read through your comments and I think I have fixed the mistakes, would it be possible for you to read through and check if the mistakes are fixed? I have resubmitted it and understand that it will take a while before reviewed, but just wanted to check if there was anything more I could do. thank you(: Gabi.labuschagne (talk) 11:50, 2 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

@Gabi.labuschagne: Actually, I don't mind checking it over really quick in this instance. No bother.
There's seems to be a lot of interviews with Cameron Moulene; they can be useful sources, certainly, but they aren't independent of Cameron. We need independent sourcing to prove that Cameron is notable enough from the shows he's acted in that he gets a separate article from previously mentioned shows. This source is on the cusp of independent, but not quite.
Also, there are no inline citations. I've accepted articles without inline citations before, but they were usually along the lines of "This small town in India has a gas station and temple." and certainly weren't about living people. Basically, you take links, put them between a <ref> and a </ref>, and put it after the sentence(s) you want to reference; in other words, not grouped together at the end of the article. You'll see plenty of them in featured articles and good articles. They appear in the article body as a superscripted number between brackets, and you can see more information at the end of the article where a {{reflist}} template is placed. More information about inline citations can be found here. -- I dream of horses (My talk page) (My edits) @ 04:50, 3 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

hey there @I dream of horses: Thanks so much. I've added in as many citations as I can find, as for references, I've literally added every single article/interview that I can find on the internet. A lot of his interviews are on YouTube, which is a problem to reference. Is the article acceptable now? Gabi.labuschagne (talk) 13:01, 3 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

@Gabi.labuschagne: For future reference, you don't have to use online sources; if there's a decent that one can attain an offline source at a reasonably sized public or academic library, you can use that. I would think Cameron would have online sources if he were notable; however, after googling Cameron Moulene with both standard Google and also Google News, I'm also struggling to find sources.
I'm not sure if Cameron is independently notable at this time, but I would predict that he'd achieve notability in the future.  I dream of horses (My talk page) (My edits) @ 04:45, 4 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there. @I dream of horses: sorry to bother again. Is this and this not enough? I greatly appreciate your help, but I'm desperate to get this page out, especially considering there's already a page for him on wikipedia in french? (you can see it here) thanks again(: Gabi.labuschagne (talk) 08:47, 4 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

@Gabi.labuschagne: Actually, you don't have to keep using the {{ping}} template; since it's my talk page, I'm already notified. Very common mistake, though, so no need to feel embarrassed.
Inclusion in the Spanish Wikipedia doesn't really say much, since each Wikipedia has its' own inclusion criteria. Both of the sources you just linked wouldn't be enough for notability purposes, since they're interviews, therefore not independent of the subject.  I dream of horses (My talk page) (My edits) @ 00:58, 5 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

ahh sorry about that, I seem to have misunderstood, I thought I was looking for interviews! I think I've got it now. here, here, here, and here are some more articles that I've found. Are any of them notable enough? (: Gabi.labuschagne (talk) 09:03, 5 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

@Gabi.labuschagne: Don't worry, I'm sure you've made a rather common mistake. Yes, those are the sources we need.  I dream of horses (My talk page) (My edits) @ 20:21, 5 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

morning(:

I've added those sources and some more citations. Would you mind looking through it again?

Here it is.

Thanks so much for your help in this!!

Gabi.labuschagne (talk) 07:25, 6 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

@Gabi.labuschagne: Sorry for misspelling your username the last time. Oops!
I'd say it's good to go, but I'll let someone else review it and see what they think. I did do some very minor edits to make it look nicer, though.  I dream of horses (My talk page) (My edits) @ 09:20, 6 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

no problem, i'm so keen for this to be put out that wikipedia is the first thing i check every morning! haha! (it's a "birthday present" for my favourite actor, he's really deserving of a wikipedia page in my opinion! and it's also been a great learning experience! I'll be back with more edits and drafts soon I hope(:) Thanks so much again!! (: Gabi.labuschagne (talk) 09:58, 6 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

hey! sorry to bother, but the page still hasn't been reviewed? and idea how long it should take? Gabi.labuschagne (talk) 08:57, 13 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

@Gabi.labuschagne: It can take up to a month due to a backlog. Apologies.  I dream of horses (My talk page) (My edits) @ 16:11, 13 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

hey there! sorry to bother again, but the page was reviewed and rejected. is there anything more i could add or fix? Gabi.labuschagne (talk) 23:02, 28 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Merger discussion for Deepak Singh (politician) [edit]

An article that you have been involved in editing—Deepak Singh (politician) —has been proposed for merging with another article. If you are interested, please participate in the merger discussion. Thank you. #1997kB 05:02, 18 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

@1997kB: Good call on being overly cautious and telling me, an AWBer, about this. I admit about knowing little about this particular situation; however, in general, drafts which write about a subject duplicated in mainspace get declined with a message encouraging the draft creator to improve the mainspace article. -- I dream of horses (My talk page) (My edits) @ 05:28, 18 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]
@I dream of horses: The user who majorly contributed this article is blocked for two weeks, so that is why I notified editors with minor edits on that article. But the issue is that firstly I nominated that draft for deletion and admin rejected, suggesting a merge in mainspace article and saying this draft contains more info than main article. #1997kB 05:40, 18 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]
@1997kB: Perhaps you can add the information into the mainspace, rewording it if you wish and ultimately taking responsibility for the edits (vs. the blocked editor taking responsibility, which would be block evasion). Of course, it would be prudent to see what the blocking admin Master of Puppets (who I just pinged) thinks of this idea before actually following through with it.  I dream of horses (My talk page) (My edits) @ 05:48, 18 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Number of Perfect Scores[edit]

Guest judges' scores have always been excluded. If you are going to discredit that, you need to change Amber Riley's number of perfect scores to 4, considering she got a 9 from Maks on one of her routines where all the other judges gave her tens. I have been working very hard to keep the DWTS page accurate and this is not appropriate. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2601:341:8100:A808:B511:2179:9D8A:A7AD (talk) 17:12, 26 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

You meant to talk to BlueMoonset. -- I dream of horses (My talk page) (My edits) @ 20:31, 26 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for the ping, I dream of horses. I definitely agree that Amber should come down from five perfect scores to four for this chart, since 39 is not a perfect score, and am pleased to see that it was done by 2601:341:8100:A808:B511:2179:9D8A:A7AD. Stuffed bitter melon soup[edit]

FYI, Stuffed bitter melon soup, which I PRODded and you draftified with the edit summary Draft will need to have {{subst:submit}} on it to be moved into mainspace, has been moved back into mainspace by its creator. – Train2104 (t • c) 23:37, 26 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

@Train2104: You want to add the {{PROD}} template back? I wasn't really disagreeing that the article shouldn't be in mainspace, after all. -- I dream of horses (My talk page) (My edits) @ 04:16, 27 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]
 Done with original timestamp. – Train2104 (t • c) 12:44, 27 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]
The creator has pruned and deprodded the article. – Train2104 (t • c) 19:39, 28 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]
@Train2104: If you still think the article needs to be deleted, you'll have to use an AfD discussion now. Though, I will say, post-pruning, it's much better now. Perhaps deletion isn't necessary.
Since de-prodding is basically inevitable for new articles (deletion is always controversial for the person who created the article), it's better to just skip to AfD. I thought this article would be an exception, being a copy-and-paste from AfC and all, but nope. -- I dream of horses (My talk page) (My edits) @ 01:09, 29 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]
