About the Medhaṅkara Buddha being undersourced[edit]

I feel that my page, Medhaṅkara Buddha has enough citations. The Buddhavamsa (Meaning: The life of Buddhas) mentions about when and where the Buddha was Born. The second reference "The life of 28 Buddhas" covers his short biography. You may notice that I have made a citation needed space. This is because some sources state that he practiced for half a month and it is somehow accepted that he practiced for 15 days. I request to revert the case and I will promise to try to find certain sources that can cover at Wikipedia's satisfactions.Albert Poliakoff (talk) 07:12, 2 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@Albert Poliakoff: We like to have at least 3-5 sources. There are also (in your defense, easily correctable) issues with formatting. It's probably best that the article you create continue to be developed in draftspace.  I dream of horses (My talk page) (My edits) @ 15:56, 2 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Julianne Vanden Wyngaard[edit]

I don't think that was a very good decision. I'll leave you to sort out your mess. [1] [2] --Tagishsimon (talk) 03:43, 3 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@Tagishsimon: I'm not sure what you're talking about. Please elaborate further.  I dream of horses (My talk page) (My edits) @ 03:47, 3 April 2019 (UTC) (fixed ping at 03:54, 3 April 2019 (UTC))[reply]
Yes, why not. Whilst I was editing an article - you can see the list of edits in the first link I gave you - you moved the article. So my fourth, I think, edit, created a new article. because you'd moved the existing article out from under me. This is problematic for a number of reasons. We now have two articles as a result of your action. It was, perhaps, unwise, since even a glance at the edit history might have alerted you to the possibility that someone was making edits on the article.
Can you point me at any policy or guideline which supports a user arbitrarily deciding that their opinion on the merits of citations in an article justifies removing the article from article space to draft space with no discussion? --Tagishsimon (talk) 04:07, 3 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Untitled[edit]

Hi,

I have recently created a page named 'Trams in Lausanne' - with details information. I have already started submitting photos, links, and references/citations. More citations I am preparing to submitting very soon. But before completion, you have deleted my photos/citations, and sent my page to draft section.

Why have you did this, when I am preparing this page with a long time research, learning, and consuming time?'Italic text

Now please tell me, how can I publish the informative page again?

regards

@Ashis Mitra: If I were you, I'd actually adding the citations before moving the page back, and finish articles in my own sandbox/user subpage for here on out. Hey, Sorry for bothering you. I know I will definitely make drafts for now on but could you specify the part thats biased. Sorry if I sound aggresive im not arguing I'm just curious on what I did wrong so I can fix it in the future. Lamarsmith15 Lamarsmith15 (talk) 04:10, 3 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@Lamarsmith15: As with the Julianne Vanden Wyngaard issue above, I'm a little concerned to see this behaviour from I dream of horses. There certainly is an issue, Lamarsmith15, with you deciding to write your article over the existing redirect. But I do not see that there is hugely concerning bias in your article, and I dream of horses's actions, predicated on a supposition of bias, do not seem to be in any way justified by any policy or practice I'm aware of. But hey, I've only been here 15 years. What do I know. I suggest that you take the text of the article and make a new page at Ben Brooks (investor). If I dream of horses has an issue with the article, it is to be hoped they will use more conventional methods from now on - tagging, prodding, AfDing - but not moving articles to draft merely because they have some concern about them. --Tagishsimon (talk) 04:38, 3 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]
@Tagishsimon: I have concerns about you approaching new/less experienced users about concerns over my behavior instead of confronting me directly, potentially causing them to become more confused. Granted, I didn't log in yesterday; I'm sure if your message and my reply back requesting clarification/elaboration was archived, you'd be competent enough to reinstate it (my talk page is frequently archived to make it easier for those unfamiliar with talk pages; it prevents blanking and other good-faith-yet-incompentant behavior).
Article deletion tends to confuse and upset new users just as much as reverting back to a redirect if not more so; tagging has the potential to do the same without the benefit of improvement, since the cleanup categories are that backlogged. I've had new editors breathless over how somehow either one or the other reflects badly on them. I've also seen a deletion reason where the gist of it was "Subject of BLP upset by cleanup tags." Unconventional behavior, on its' own, doesn't warrant concern, and in this case, is more revertible.
I know it's off-topic, but it's odd that we haven't run into each other, and I haven't heard of you at all. I've been on Wikipedia for over a decade, and have had this account for nearly that long. It'd been reasonable to assume you're newish around here, just experienced/technologically inclined enough to figure out talk pages, both because of how little I know you, and how closely you imitate someone fearful of directly confronting more experienced editors.
@Lamarsmith15: If Tagishsimon has furthered your confusion, then they owe you an apology. Feel free to continue this discussion with only me if that's better for you.
Basically, the article had a lot of opinions ("highest performing companies", "moved up rapidly", etc.); while they were sourced, they were also not direct quotes from people, so I thought it best that it not stay as it was, since Wikipedia has such a problem with people trying to advertise. I don't think you were trying to advertise, though!  I dream of horses (My talk page) (My edits) @ 15:16, 4 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]
I did approach you directly over the ‎Julianne Vanden Wyngaard issue, to which I have not had a satisfactory reply nor any action to clean up the mess you made; so permit me to say that I find your above reply a self-serving croc. Bottom line is that you are abusing WP:DRAFTIFY and should stop. Quite why you think I should become the manager of your talk page is beyond me. The Julianne Vanden Wyngaard issue remains to be cleaned up, and I trust you will now do so. --Tagishsimon (talk) 16:27, 4 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]
@Tagishsimon: I'm not that enthused to revert my edits when you refer to my reply as a "self-serving croc". Please explain why you want me to do so.  I dream of horses (My talk page) (My edits) @ 18:22, 4 April 2019 (UTC) (fixed ping at 18:23, 4 April 2019 (UTC))[reply]

This redirection seriously violates WP:NPOV. --Sharouser (talk) 02:32, 9 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@Sharouser: A redirect unto itself would have a difficult time violating NPOV, barring a real-world conflict regarding naming I'm unaware of (and in that case, it's best to get consensus from people who know more about the world and follow that).
The article it redirects to, however, would have a much easier time violating NPOV. In that case, don't write a new article, but improve the existing one. -- I dream of horses (My talk page) (My edits) @ 02:35, 9 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop moving valid articles to draft[edit]

Hello: I see you are using some kind of script ot move short artcles to draft. You have used the comment "undersourced" on three notable stubs I created in the past couple of hours. As it is a pain to move them back to article space, could you please check the articles more closely before moving to draft space? All three are notable per WP:ARTIST 4d, and every claim is sourced. More comments on my talk page. Also, please note that about five other new page reviewers have passed every single similar stub I wrote in the past few days, because they were all sourced properly and all notable. I'm going to revert any further moves to draft space, and assume it was a mistake. Thank you. ThatMontrealIP (talk) 03:24, 9 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@ThatMontrealIP: (edit conflict) Actually, all the articles I moved were poorly sourced in that there might've been one source that wasn't somehow affiliated with the artist, with that.
On top of that, you seem to be creating several stubs somewhat quickly which is a red flag in my mind, not of lack of notability, but of an article creator not taking their time to flesh out an article properly.
I'll grant that this "red flag" might've created bias within me, something we all have, but it's a bias created from years of new page patrolling. In your defense, I've seen stubs created more quickly. They, however, tend to be "This species of [insect/animal/plant/etc.] exists and we know little else" or "Here is a stub about a [defunct railway station/recently paved road/sub-sub-sub tributary of a river/tiny tiny town of 1,000 people, etc.]*" kind of stubs, leaving little room for negative, unsourced information to cause actual damage. *I may have comedically yet mildly exaggerated within these brackets. *ba dum dish*
I will acknowledge that I probably draftify more often than others when it comes to companies or people; however, other new page patrollers probably have dealt with fewer people wanting to push through articles about their pet topic involving actual people through At All Costs.
Also, I doubt you would've appreciated cleanup tags being slapped on the stubs, which is an alternative. The pages look deleted because I suppressed the redirect per policy (this prevents a speedy deletion), but they aren't. This actually means I think the articles are valid; if the validity was bought into question, I've would've nominated for deletion instead, either speedy deletion or a deletion discussion instead.
So, anyway. There's my logic, broken up into paragraphs for easier reading.  I dream of horses (My talk page) (My edits) @ 03:50, 9 April 2019 (UTC) (remove extra colon at 03:51, 9 April 2019 (UTC))[reply]
thanks for your cogent explanation, but I would ask you to stop doing it unless you can come up with a valid reason to move them to draft. Wanting me to spend more time on the articles is not a valid reason. You were also tagging them "undersourced", which is incorrect as they were all sourced. To be fair, this is a bit of a special situation as the notability criteria is met by 4d, but the sources are primary. Anyway, I am going to continue and I would appreciate you not moving further articles to draft unnecessarily. Articles like Loretta Hines Howard, created less than 24 hours ago, are meaningful and valid additions to the encyclopedia.ThatMontrealIP (talk) 03:57, 9 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]
@ThatMontrealIP: I think the problem here is that we are interpretating "undersourced" in different ways. You (and perhaps other, less experienced NPPers) are interprating it in a very literal, and concrete way. Since we're dealing with biographical articles, I'm interprating "undersourced" to also include "not complying with this overly simplified guide to sourcing articles", which would include being sourced entirely/almost entirely with primary sources. That's actually a perfectly valid reason to draftify an article when dealing with an article about a person. Perhaps that message should use another word instead, or perhaps I am overly cautious about biographical articles.
However, since you are quite respectful and bring up a point about the articles having presumed notability, I am willing to stop.  I dream of horses (My talk page) (My edits) @ 05:43, 9 April 2019 (UTC) (rephrased at 05:48, 9 April 2019 (UTC))[reply]
Yes I think these articles would be basicalky impossible to delete at AFD, as the first thing anyone would say is that they meet WP:ARTIST clearly. I appreciate your reasonable approach and willingness to work together on this. Thanks you and have a good evening.ThatMontrealIP (talk) 05:50, 9 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]
@ThatMontrealIP: (edit conflict) I just wanted to say that draftifying an article actually should reflect well on its' validity, since one wouldn't want to waste the time of AfC reviewers. Like, at the absolute ideal, it would get past the point of getting a consensus of "I can see why it'd have to be improved, but it's not deletable" to "Speedy keep" at AfD, if that makes sense.  I dream of horses (My talk page) (My edits) @ 05:56, 9 April 2019 (UTC) (fixed ping at 06:56, 9 April 2019 (UTC))[reply]

Hey there. Drafts that I mark under review, which I'll not almost always are less than the 24 hours after which the template suggests removal, are being used as a teaching tool for prospective new page patrollers. A message from Treydayofficial[edit]

Hi I'm writing you in regards to the recently denied article Trey Day (Rapper) I am aware the article lacks reliable resources, but i spent hours learning to create this wikipedia page due to the amount of misinformation regarding Trey Day online, I am his manager and close friend, and it is important to his future success that when his first album debuts that there is an available source online with accurate information. I hope you understand and are willing to to help, Thank you. P.S. i am unaware of how to change my username. Treydayofficial (talk) 05:54, 13 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@Treydayofficial: You can request a rename here. After that's finished, you are required to declare you are Trey Days' manager here.
Do you realize that anyone can edit a Wikipedia article, making Wikipedia somewhat limited in countering misinformation online? We are, of course, careful about articles surrounding living people, and I in particular am strict about sourcing in new, biographical articles. Response time in surpressing/reverting defamatory information is often, though not always quick...but it can never be instant. It helps if Day has ·multiple reliable sources in his article.  I dream of horses (My talk page) (My edits) @ 06:15, 13 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Draft: Pupil Leaders' Action Network (PLAN)[edit]

I believe that the article does meet the notability standard, as an entire article featuring the organization was published in the Deccan Chronicle (see reference 1). Do tell me how I can improve the article. GlobalYouth20 (talk) 12:00, 12 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@I dream of horses: I completely understand that, but if you were to check Reference No. 1, you'll see that the article is about PLAN. It is a half-page feature published on Page 2 of the Deccan Chronicle (11 April 2019), one of India's premier newspapers. Advice regarding reliability of sources[edit]

Hello I dream of horses!

I hope you are very well. I am writing to ask for some advice about an article I started working on that was declined due to inadequate sources. Here is the link to my submission - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Draft:Shakti_Bhagchandani

I've just realized that the IMDB reference is not acceptable as the information comes from a community and isn't objective and reliable, but I was wondering if you could tell me which of the other sources were not reliable? Or were all unreliable?

I just want to be sure I don't make these errors again!

Thank you very much, Sallyduffy (talk) 14:13, 14 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@Saffyduffy: Interviews (which, unfortunately, aren't fact-checked all that much) and information released by the film festivals (who have a financial interest in releasing certain information), while they can prove useful in sourcing non-controversial information, don't really prove notability.  I dream of horses (My talk page) (My edits) @ 17:58, 14 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@I dream of horses: Thanks for your response. I really appreciate it.

Respectfully, I don't believe that film festivals have a financial interest in announcing the list of films they have programmed that year, thereby making them unreliable. References to announcements on film festival websites have been used widely in Wikipedia articles for filmmakers. As an example, take the page of filmmaker Cristi Piui. His film Sieranevada played at Cannes Film Festival, and on his Wikipedia page you can see that this has been verified by information released on the Cannes film festival website. Another example is Huner Saleem, whose page also cites the Cannes website's announcement. Another example is Louise Osmond whose page cites the Toronto International Film Festival website announcement as a reference. Another example is Derek Cianfrance, whose page cites the Sundance Film Festival announcement as a reference. Some other examples are Jonathan Nossiter, Pål Jackman, Daihachi Yoshida, Yolande Zauberman, Yermek Shinarbayev, Francis Reusser, and many others.

Perhaps the rules have changed regarding the festival information references. However, many of the examples I have given are very recent, which is why I am raising this concern.

Thank you, Sallyduffy (talk) 19:55, 14 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@Sallyduffy:
  1. A lot of articles haven't been through the articles for creation process; indeed, quite a few were written before AfC was even thought of/existed. On top of that, there are millions of articles, and only 1,000+ volunteer editors, meaning quite a few articles fall through the cracks.
  2. Non-independent sourcing can source non-controversial information. They just don't prove notability.
  3. At the end of the day, film festivals can't exist unless they pull in enough revenue to at least break even (people need to be paid, etc.). This probably influences how much emphasis they put on which films.  I dream of horses (My talk page) (My edits) @ 01:42, 15 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Baye McNeil[edit]

Hi,

I see you've re-published Baye McNeil's entry.

It doesn't seem very different to the article that was deleted a couple of years ago due to not meeting the notability criteria. Aside from a couple of name drops in the Washington post/BBC, not much seems to have changed, so I was wondering what the thinking was behind bringing it back?

Thanks. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Nagoyabllue (talkcontribs) 02:41, 18 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@Nagoyabllue: Not only did I look at the article on its' own merits, I had Oshwah look at the deleted version to make sure it was an exact/paraphrased copy. Was there some kind of confusion? -- I dream of horses (My talk page) (My edits) @ 03:56, 18 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Well, my confusion is that it was deleted as the subject was classed as failing to meet the guidelines for notability, but now exactly the same article is back. So why is the subject now regarded as a notable figure when he wasn't before? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Nagoyabllue (talkcontribs) 04:13, 18 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@Nagoyabllue: Lack of notability isn't always permanment, and that's why I kept an open mind to McNeil being notable.  I dream of horses (My talk page) (My edits) @ 04:15, 18 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Ely Playter article

Hi. I appreciate you comments and suggestions for my first Wikipedia article (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Draft:Ely_Playter). I have gone back and edited it to add citations and to provide more content. Could you please advise me how to resubmit it for your or another editors consideration?

Joan Almond (LorriBrown) vs. Joan Almond (MarkZusab) draft articles[edit]

Hello I dream of horses, I submitted my Joan Almond draft to AfC yesterday and it was rejected by you (due to conflict with another Joan Almond draft article). I am hopeful that you will re-consider this article because:

the LorriBrown/JoanAlmond article is well researched with more content than the MarkZusab/JoanAlmond article at this juncture;
the MarkZusab/JoanAlmond aricle does not appear to have been submitted for AfC review;
the articles where created almost on the same date;
I am hopeful that MarkZusab will be aminable to collaborating on the LorriBrown/JoanAlmond article and help to develop add new content - rather than duplicating the research already accomplished in the LorriBrown/JoanAlmond article; and
it is unclear if MarkZusab will direct post his version of the JoanAlmond article to AfC or post direct to the main space

I do understand that my version of the article may not be perfect; however, I do think it is a good start. Thank you for your consideration.LorriBrown (talk) 18:08, 17 April 2019 (UTC)LorriBrown (talk) 22:04, 17 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@LorriBrown: Why don't we notify MarkZusab and see what he thinks? Perhaps he will be amenable to collaborating with you if he is aware of this discussion.  I dream of horses (My talk page) (My edits) @ 00:50, 18 April 2019 (UTC) (switched "will" and "be" at 00:51, 18 April 2019 (UTC))[reply]
Yes of course! I did reach out with a message on the MarkZusab talk page to inquiry if collaboration on the LorriBrown/JoanAlmond made sense to him. Thank you for also reaching out!LorriBrown (talk) 00:56, 18 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]
I dream of horses I don't understand why MarkZusab just went ahead and posted his article direct today? No discussion just posted it and that happened today not yesterday. Very disappointed!LorriBrown (talk) 01:07, 19 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]
@LorriBrown: I apologize for misunderstanding your intent. I have marked Joan Almond as WP:G7, so that your more complete draft may be submitted. MarkZusab (talk) 01:13, 19 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]
@I dream of horses: and @MarkZusab: Thank you both for your efforts to help me to post this page for Joan Almond. I did spend a fair amount of time on it so it is heartening to know that it will get a chance to be reviewed. Very happy about that actually! MarkZusab I do hope that you will be involved in some fashion with the Joan Almond page and post any content that you have that I may have missed. This is a very interesting and accomplished artist but with very little to be discovered online. I've been trying very hard to find film credits for her involvement as stills photographer for films that her husband, Paul Almond directed. Also her brother Bo Hammond , a musician and sound director, was involved with John Cassavettes films and Joan Almond also. Thank you again!LorriBrown (talk) 05:47, 19 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

This is a message abut the Film By the Sea 2002- For some reason you keep rejecting it as an article plus are preventing me from using the official picture FROM THE MOVIE . How can I deliver a message to a talk page using Huggle? --Thegooduser Life Begins With a Smile :) 🍁 02:23, 15 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@Thegooduser: You can configure huggle to send a welcome message when you mark an edit as "good". Other than that and the usual warnings, you should probably just get off of huggle to communicate.  I dream of horses (My talk page) (My edits) @ 02:25, 15 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]
If I forget to log out of Wikipedia and Huggle does it log you out automatically? --Thegooduser Life Begins With a Smile :) 🍁 02:26, 15 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]
@Thegooduser: No idea, but it's ill-advised to huggle on a shared computer, anyways. Too much potential for widespread damage.  I dream of horses (My talk page) (My edits) @ 02:28, 15 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

One solution to quickly check if you've logged out is to change the skin you use while logged in under Special:Preferences. That, all you have to do is look for a split second, just to make sure. Articles for creation: EU Publications[edit]

Dear I dream of horses, Thank you for your comments on the article I created. I am working for the Publications office of the European Union and we are trying to create a short article about our online service EU Publications for the users. It should be just a short introduction, so that is why you might have thought that it sound more like an ad. There is really not much to write about it: it is an online repository where you can find all the publications produced by all the EU institutions, you can order them free of charge or download also free of charge. The source is verified, reliable and citizen-friendly. We are a publishing house for the EU, not seeking to gain benefit from the services we offer. Once you accept this article in English, we will add all the others 23 official languages of the EU. Regards, Dorota Banska (talk) 09:43, 23 April 2019 (UTC)Dorota Banska[reply]

@Dorota Banska: I doubt that this account is shared, but I just wanted to explictly state that sharing accounts on the English Wikipedia is not allowed. Also, you should state that you are writing on behalf of EU Publications here. You need to state this fact somewhere per our Terms of Use; the page I linked to is a good place to do it. -- I dream of horses (My talk page) (My edits) @ 22:40, 23 April 2019 (UTC) (fixed ping at 22:45, 23 April 2019 (UTC))[reply]
@I dream of horses: I'm not sure if I understand your mention about shared accounts, what accounts you mean? Once again: the article is a short info about one of the services offered by the Publications Office of the European Union. It is NOT an ad, because we don't charge people for downloading our publications. It is a service for the European citizens. I will revise the text and re-submit it.

Thanks, --Dorota Banska (talk) 08:36, 24 April 2019 (UTC)Dorota Banska[reply]

@Dorota Banska: Basically, if there's more than one person using the "Dorota Banska" account, that's against the policies on the English Wikipedia. Again, even though your company doesn't charge for its' services, you need to announce that you are editing on their behalf here; this will ensure that you'll be able to continue editing.
Whether or not something is an ad is more based on tonality than anything else here. If it reads like an ad, it's probably an ad.  I dream of horses (My talk page) (My edits) @ 18:08, 25 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Disputed factual accuracy[edit]

Dear I dream of horses,

I am writing to you with one problem regarding the following article on Wikipedia: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sergey_Nalobin. The problem is that I added updated information on Sergey Nalobin's biography, all the information is supported with the references from the official websites: https://twiplomacy.com/blog/spokesperson-driving-force-behind-digital-diplomacy/ and http://www.mid.ru/web/guest/about/social_organizations/association/-/asset_publisher/w6CkLeKcy2bQ/content/id/3404308. After some period of time there was the revision 892857394 conducted by the user Philafrenzy and it is undid.

Therefore, I would kindly like to ask you to take a look at the article and, if you have any suggestions that the article is reliably sourced, remove the warnings over this issue.

Hope you will cooperate and understand. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Cathsetey (talkcontribs) 01:24, April 25, 2019 (UTC)

A message from RedPlanetoid[edit]

Excuse me, why did you delete my article "Dhaniya Sutta". It's clear, short, sourced, and I see nothing on your page that indicates you're an expert on Buddhism who could have a meaningful opinion on its notability. Thank you. RedPlanetoid (talk) 20:37, 26 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@RedPlanetoid: I didn't delete your article. I redirected it to an article that has more information. I'm an expert on when to do that.  I dream of horses (My talk page) (My edits) @ 20:39, 26 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

You deleted 1,600 bytes which is pretty much the entire article. Also, how does the "Sutta Nipata" article have "more information"? All it gives is the name of the sutta. RedPlanetoid (talk) 20:46, 26 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@RedPlanetoid: So add the information you had in the article you wrote in the article I redirected it to.  I dream of horses (My talk page) (My edits) @ 20:50, 26 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Kukurantumi, the road to Accra is not a page/article[edit]

Kukurantumi, the road to Accra is not a page/article. It is part of the list of films in Ghana in a particular year, 1983 so I do not appreciate you redirecting it to a page. Because it will be an orphan article and does not have enough references (dead link), that is why I did not create a page for it. I will be grateful if you could revert your changes. Thank you https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=List_of_Ghanaian_films_of_1983&action=edit — Preceding unsigned comment added by Benebiankie (talkcontribs) 01:06, 27 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Cheers --Benekie 01:04, 27 April 2019 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Benebiankie (talkcontribs)
@Benebiankie: You might've intended to write a list; I'm not sure. But when I look at the article you're referencing, I see an article about one movie called "Kukurantumi, the road to Accra", not a list. Of course, a link to the article might be included in a list, but it's not a list onto itself.-- I dream of horses (My talk page) (My edits) @ 01:09, 27 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

That is so because it is the only movie produced in 1983 and it needed to be properly referenced to avoid it being deleted. I could have tabulated it to avoid been seen as a page but that would have reduced the needed information. It is a build up on this: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Draft:Lists_of_Ghanaian_films Benekie 01:32, 27 April 2019 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Benebiankie (talkcontribs)

@Benebiankie: If that's the case, having a list of Ghanian films in 1983 would be impossible.  I dream of horses (My talk page) (My edits) @ 01:35, 27 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

A message from ArturoVFX[edit]

Hi and thank you for your help for the Arturo Morales Rangel page. You said the IMDB is not a reliable source, but I see it used as external links in many other pages. Should I remove it and only add as an external link or it won't be approved at all? Should I remove the information from the main text that Arturo is a member of the Visual Effects Society or it can stay? Why is it subjective and should I remove the link to them entirely?

Arturo has an interview in Spanish language US based newspaper, can we use it or interviews only in English will be approved?

He also created a game for iOS and Android, if I give links to the game, is this a reliable source?

Thank you again for your help!

ArturoVFX

ArturoVFX (talk) 15:27, 27 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@ArturoVFX: I know some articles use IMdB as a source, and a lot of them have "fallen through the cracks". It's better off as an external link at the bottom of the page, since it's user generated content, so can be changed at any time. You should remove any information that can't be reliably sourced.
Interviews can, at times, be used a source for information that only Morales would know, but they aren't independent enough to establish notability. Spanish-language sources can be used, but English sources are prefered.
Links to any games should also be used as external links, and can't really used even for notability.  I dream of horses (My talk page) (My edits) @ 02:35, 29 April 2019 (UTC) (fixed ping at 02:37, 29 April 2019 (UTC))[reply]
