Comment[edit]

Hi. I don't understand your frame. It's similar to lists of members of XXX parliament. Bluntly speaking, what kind of sources do you want for the list other than the comprehensive one? I may cover the initial councillors and in addition the substitutions with additional fragmentary independent sources, but I am not sure that's the point for the lists. If there is the doubt about the notability "broadly constructed" (which it is another different concern altogether) as assessed independently from the topic "City Council of Madrid" you could just tell that straight, because it is a pretty much a waste of time...--Asqueladd (talk) 01:50, 16 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Asqueladd: The frameworks I think in is the lists you write can't be justified by the existence of other, also barely-referenced lists. Other stuff exists. Of course, I might've contemplated removing the table before patrolling the article and moving on if you had the sources in to begin with.
Another framework is that I don't necessarily assume people aren't going to improve the articles they create, unless I do something like nominate it for deletion, or yes, move it to draftspace. People are just as likely, if not more so, to create an article, whether that article be decent or not, make a minor edit or two to aforementioned article, and then not return to Wikipedia for weeks or months, if at all.
To summarize, I don't assume much competence when I new page patrol. --I dream of horses (talk) (contribs) Remember to {{ping}} me after replying off my talk page 03:10, 16 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Draft:Friedrich Lürssen[edit]

There is a corresponding article in deWP, and that indicates very likely notability here. Even if this doesn't necessarily prove it here, for it is the case that a (very) few such articles have been deleted at AfD, it certainly at least show that it is likely to be accepted here in any AfD, and such likelihood is the criterion for accepting an AfC. I have therefore accepted it.

And it any case it has an entry in the DNB, the German National Biography, and every person with such an entry in a major national biographic encyclopedia is notable for WP purposes. DGG ( talk ) 07:16, 16 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Draft:Edmondo Lupieri[edit]

This meets WP:PROF, and the source is sufficient to prove it. I therefore accepted it. (It needs refs for the books, but that's not essential to show notability with the endowed chair--it would of course be necessary without it. ; I will add them, because it is so very easy to add the ISBNs from Worldcat) DGG ( talk ) 07:31, 16 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

DGG, out of curiosity, does the German Wikipedia have similar notability standards to the English Wikipedia? I'd check for myself, but alas, I'm functionally monolingual. --I dream of horses (talk) (contribs) Remember to {{ping}} me after replying off my talk page 03:56, 20 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hi I dream of horses, thanks for reviewing my previous article. Apparently I am seeing some of the articles I create takes more than usual time due to the backlogs. So consider to reach you for a faster response. Let me know if it concerns you that I won't bother you in the future with the same motive. :)

But if you are okay with the same please have a look at Shivaleeka Oberoi at your convenient time. The9Man | (talk) 07:48, 21 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

A message from Karl Buxtehude[edit]

Hello, I dream of horses! Thank you for the cookies.

I'm still new to this. I've created an article about a person whose namesake already has an entry on Wikipedia. I want to set up a disambiguation page or amend the earlier entry to add a descriptive qualifier to the title (in parentheses), but I don't want to make a mistake that might corrupt links or damage someone else's hard work. I've skimmed through Wikipedia:Disambiguation but this seems (a) very technical, especially for a beginner like me; (b) more concerned with policy and style than with how-to instructions.
