Question from David.Hyman1968 (11:27, 30 July 2023)[edit]

will this be published - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Draft:Andrew_Kidd --David.Hyman1968 (talk) 11:27, 30 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

When a reviewer gets to it. This could be anywhere from "within the next half hour" to "a few months." I dream of horses (Contribs) (Talk) 17:24, 30 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@David.Hyman1968 Wait. I misunderstood. I thought you meant when the draft will be published, you meant if it'll be published. When a reviewer comes along, they will review the sources; if the sources are reliable, it could be published, but otherwise, it won't be. I dream of horses (Contribs) (Talk) 17:26, 30 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Hello, thank you for responding. Is there anything you would recommend from your initial view? David.Hyman1968 (talk) 21:32, 30 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@David.Hyman1968 Is there any secondary coverage outside of the bookselling sphere? I dream of horses (Contribs) (Talk) 00:17, 1 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Question from Bakugoulover78 (23:45, 14 August 2023)[edit]

How do you know when you are in love? --Bakugoulover78 (talk) 23:45, 14 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I haven't a clue. Please only ask Wikipedia-related questions for now on. I dream of horses (Contribs) (Talk) 04:52, 15 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Question from Localhistorian113 (16:02, 15 August 2023)[edit]

Hello! Id like to add more of the history of my town, but I'm struggling to figure out how to do that in a concise way without it being rambling. Any help is appreciated, thank you! --Localhistorian113 (talk) 16:02, 15 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@Localhistorian113 The good thing about Wikipedia is that if you're rambling, someone might come along and clean things up a bit. The important thing is that you use reliable sources, anyways. If you want to check things beforehand, however, the summarizer on quillbot.com might be able to help. I dream of horses (Contribs) (Talk) 16:46, 15 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Question from Jim Anderson82 (12:55, 25 August 2023)[edit]

Why does Wikipedia censor conservative viewpoints, and protect pages where conservative viewpoints are censored --Jim Anderson82 (talk) 12:55, 25 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@Jim Anderson82 Context? I dream of horses (Contribs) (Talk) 16:36, 25 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Probably relates to their post at Talk:Democratic Party (United States). Jim, Wikipedia does not specifically censor conservative viewpoints. Wikipedia summarizes what independent reliable sources state about a topic. If they report conservative viewpoints, then we do too, giving them due weight with how other viewpoints are sourced. Some conservative news outlets are not considered reliable sources here as they lack basic standards of journalistic integrity and editorial control, but there are those that do have such standards. If you see areas where due weight is given improperly, and are willing to collaborate with others irrespective of their political views, you are welcome to use the appropriate article talk page to discuss your concerns.
Articles are not protected to censor, but to prevent disruption from editors. American politics is one of the most contentious areas of Wikipedia, so much so that it has its own special rules, which I will notify you of. I suggest that you read these rules carefully.
Note that as a private entity, Wikipedia is allowed to have rules regarding its content or limit content for any reason or even no reason, just as you are allowed to within the four walls of your residence. See WP:FREESPEECH. 331dot (talk) 10:45, 26 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@331dot Probably relates to their post at Talk:Democratic Party (United States). You're probably right, but I was a bit morbidly curious about Jim Anderson82s' point of view. I dream of horses (Contribs) (Talk) 16:17, 26 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Question from Jjweeds (13:50, 29 August 2023)[edit]

Ahoy! So I just happened to look at the page for Greater Buffalo Press. It has some things flat out wrong and some just very poorly described. I used to work there, so I made a couple fixes. This is my first time editing Wikipedia. Would you take a look and comment? There's more to fix and maybe a link to "letterpress" would be a good addition. I figure this page isn't getting a lot of activity, so it's a ood place to start : ) --Jjweeds (talk) 13:50, 29 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
