Daadir Amiin Cali moved to draftspace[edit]

An article you recently created, Daadir Amiin Cali, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Sorry everyone[edit]

Everyone, I'll try harder to meet copyright guidelines and not violate the rules set out by the wikipedia team, i mainly do issues about somalia because of the massive lack of information about Somalia mainly following the collapse of the SDR in 1991, sorry again

With this edit, I have just reversed your addition of an unsourced claim that the Somali Armed Forces number 40,000. The source which you tried to replace was WP:REFERENCED to a peer-reviewed scholarly article, just about the highest form of referencing Wikipedia has. If I remember when I added it rightly, it was also published in the last few years, unusual for good data on the Somali army. Do not replaced WP:REFERENCED sources with inflated, unsourced claims, again, please. Buckshot06 (talk) 20:12, 20 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Your draft article, Draft:Daadir Amiin Cali[edit]

Hello, Iamveryshy22. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "Daadir Amiin Cali".

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been nominated for deletion. If you plan on working on it further, or editing it to address the issues raised if it was declined, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}}, {{db-draft}}, or {{db-g13}} code.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by following the instructions at this link. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

Thank you for your submission to Wikipedia! Bkissin (talk) 21:27, 15 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Disambiguation link notification for February 17[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Mohamed Isse Lacle, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Naval captain (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 13:08, 17 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I've just had to remove your note about 1.37 % of GDP on the Somali Armed Forces page. Thankyou for trying to add it, but it was WP:SYNTH - you made the calculations yourself, not the World Bank saying % GDP on defence was 1.37 %. I have also removed the other numbers because they don't have a source, though. Please do keep looking for a source that specifically indicates the % GDP on defence and we can add it!! Cheers Buckshot06 (talk) 07:54, 1 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please do not add or change content, as you did at Flag carrier, without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. Jetstreamer Talk 19:54, 12 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Calling people "Issaq clannists" when you have not necessarily declared your own clan can be considered a WP:Personal Attack, and may, if repeated, attract administrator action. I would not recommend that you edit articles regarding Somaliland if you are not able to retain a WP:NPOV. Buckshot06 (talk) 09:01, 23 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Nomination of Medal of Valour (Somalia) for deletion[edit]

A discussion is taking place as to whether the article Medal of Valour (Somalia) is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.

The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Medal of Valour (Somalia) until a consensus is reached, and anyone, including you, is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on high-quality evidence and our policies and guidelines.

Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion notice from the top of the article. Slatersteven (talk) 14:21, 23 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Category:Military awards and decorations of Somalia requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section C1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the category has been empty for seven days or more and is not a disambiguation category, a category redirect, a featured topics category, under discussion at Categories for discussion, or a project category that by its nature may become empty on occasion.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. UnitedStatesian (talk) 04:39, 1 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Well, my Somali Medal of Valour article was deleted, so the category should be deleted too, seeing as it does not have a purpose and is impractical. Iamveryshy22 (talk) 04:28, 3 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I have to censor you for this edit. Somaliland is a de facto country just as existing as Abkazia or Taiwan (see for example Military ranks of Taiwan). You reveal yourself just as much a tribalist by attacking the Issaq as by defending them or any other Somali clan. If you're truly interested in contributing to Wikipedia in a balanced manner re Somali issues, I would invite you to proudly display your own tribal affilations on your userpage or other appropriate place. If these sort of attacks continue I will have to refer you for administrator action, Nick-D, Peacemaker67. Only by working together will Somalis move forward. Kind regards Buckshot06 (talk) 22:45, 30 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I also have to censor you for this unexplained deletion of well-sourced text!! Use the normal talk page process, if you have an issue with the text, because, frankly, your tribal views are clearly showing. Buckshot06 (talk) 22:50, 30 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

October 2020: tendentious editing[edit]

Thank you for self-reverting this edit. However, if you want to keep your account, as you state in the edit summary here, you need to stop attacking people, as you did in your original edit summary. Here's another attack. Using edit summaries for political propaganda, as here and here, is completely inappropriate. So is removal of well-sourced content for the purpose of whitewashing, as you did here. (And what kind of an edit summary was "fixed"? Do you know what edit summaries are for?) And this highly POV addition in the wrong place (what's it doing under "Culture"?) is not supported by the sources you offer. You need to stop your tendentious editing or you are likely to be blocked. Bishonen | tålk 14:11, 12 October 2020 (UTC).[reply]

Okay, I understand my edits over the past months have been in bad taste and I apologise for my uncouth and unbecoming behaviour and edits and I understand that Wikipedia is a serious academic online encyclopedia and not somewhere to post insults and childish tantrums, I am truly sorry for my rude behaviour Bishonen and I hope this won't cause biases against me (although it is understandable if you do)

Let me know if you need any SNA sources. I have contacts and will see if I can get you the sources required. Hurbad (talk) 13:31, 4 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Dear Hurbad, I am interested in working on SNA related articles too. I have created Division 60 (Somalia). Are you able to help me with sources to expand the articles? Buckshot06 (talk) 11:26, 7 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Not sure what kinda info you're looking for but the best place for general info about qeybta 60aad is https://www.facebook.com/CXDSQ60ad/

They're currently active in Bay and Bakool.

I'll see if I can find the actual figures with their source. I do recall it was posted on the Flickr page of Villa Somalia a few months back. Hurbad (talk) 19:48, 7 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks Hurbad. I would ideally like a list of all the units, battalion, where they all are, commanders, etc.. Buckshot06 (talk) 04:00, 9 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
