Colleges Affiliated with UMC

Great idea -- thanks for creating the category.

Here's a good listing of colleges from the UMC:

Some of the people, places or things you have written about in the article Marcia Trimble may not be sufficiently well-known to merit articles of their own. The Wikipedia community welcomes newcomers, and encourages them to become Wikipedians. On Wikipedia, each user is entitled to a user page in which they can describe themselves, and this article's content may be incorporated into that page. However, to merit inclusion in the encyclopedia proper, a subject must be notable. We encourage you to write or improve articles on notable subjects. JarlaxleArtemis 00:43, May 10, 2005 (UTC)

Be aware that he didn't even write that message, and that it was merely a template. I believe the Marcia Trimble article is quite notable. Keep on with what you're doing, Ichabod, and if you need help, don't hesitate to email me or leave a message on my talk page. Mike H 20:15, May 10, 2005 (UTC)

Nashville neighborhoods

I am proposing that we consider starting a Nashville neigborhoods project. (This would involve places like Belleshire, Inglewood, Joelton, The Nations, and Whites Creek — the bigger ones like Antioch, Bellevue, Donelson, Green Hills, and Hermitage, for example, already have them.) I don't have time to do this by myself and will only start it if others are interested; as you seem to be extrememly Nashville-knowledgable, I wanted to ask you and a few others. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks, Rlquall 03:34, 3 Jun 2005 (UTC)

It looks like Kaldari has the right idea. Check his comments to me on the topic if you wish, and also those of RivGuySC. Thanks. Rlquall 02:26, 4 Jun 2005 (UTC)

Warn Vandal

Could you drop by and warn this vandal User_talk:68.14.162.172? He keeps defacing the Oklahoma Christian University page and I'd like him to stop or get his IP banned. Danlovejoy 03:42, 23 October 2005 (UTC)

Church of Christ Link Policy

Hi! I'd like to point editors to the Church of Christ Talk Page to finalize a policy on links. Would you mind weighing in on the current language and editing, or giving a yeah or nay vote? Thanks! Danlovejoy 20:26, 5 December 2005 (UTC)

Seventh-day Adventist Church Page

Hi!

I noticed that you have an interest in the Seventh-day Adventist Church. At the moment there is a debate raging on Talk:Seventh-day Adventist Church that has resulted in the main page being protected. The debate has to do with the theology of Graham Maxwell. I would really appreciate if you could drop by and comment on this issue.

By the way, you might want to sign up at Wikipedia:WikiProject_Seventh-day_Adventist_Church to help us make better pages to do with the Adventist Church.

Thanking you in advance, -Fermion 06:24, 5 March 2006 (UTC)

Sorry I'm not a SDA member, so I'm afraid I wouldn't be of much help there. -Ichabod 19:51, 5 March 2006 (UTC)
Thanks all the same. If ever you are bored, you are more than welcome to drop by the Adventist page and post some suggestions. -Fermion 08:58, 6 March 2006 (UTC)

Please check the articles you have just edited. In addition to the category the articles have had extra characters added which need removing. Green Giant 05:05, 23 April 2006 (UTC)

Could you be a bit more specific? I was just adding countries to the category based on List of countries where English is an official language. --Ichabod 05:12, 23 April 2006 (UTC)
Yes, for example in this edit you'll notice that the interwikis got messed up. I had to revert all your changes unfortunately, sorry. —Khoikhoi 05:13, 23 April 2006 (UTC)
Sorry about that. It must be a limitation with my browser and/or character settings. I didn't realize it until it was too late. --05:16, 23 April 2006 (UTC)
What it produced was the addition of the symbol in the interwiki links to other versions of the article and then lined some of them up at the very bottom of the article. Green Giant 05:17, 23 April 2006 (UTC)
It's ok, do you know of any way to fix it? —Khoikhoi 05:18, 23 April 2006 (UTC)
I'm using Firefox 1.5 to edit. The characters don't seem to have a problem in IE.... --Ichabod 05:19, 23 April 2006 (UTC)

Hi. It seems we have a possible edit war on the The Real World: San Francisco article. If you could respond to the post I made on its talk page, it would be appreciated. Nightscream Nightscream 04:52, 30 January 2007 (UTC)

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Churches of Christ (non-institutional)

Because you seem to be a reasonable guy, would you mind giving your input on the talk page of the Churches of Christ (non-institutional)? Talk:The churches of Christ (non-institutional) under the G. C. Brewer heading.

AfD nomination of AllAdvantage

I've nominated AllAdvantage, an article you created, for deletion. We appreciate your contributions, but in this particular case I do not feel that AllAdvantage satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion; I have explained why in the nomination space (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and the Wikipedia deletion policy). Your opinions on the matter are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/AllAdvantage and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~). You are free to edit the content of AllAdvantage during the discussion but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion discussion. Image: Shop In Usulutan

Greetings,

Could you please confirm that you are the photographer of this picture. It is found in wikipedia under Usulutan - and shows a market on a street.

We would like to use the photograph in a commercial travel log on El Salvador and need to confirm it's status. We would use it as per the instructions given on the licence page.

Thank you for your time,

Isobel Coates Isobel Coates 14:05, 6 August 2007 (UTC)

Hello,
Yes, it is a shop in El Salvador. I am the photographer. I visited there while on a mission trip with my church in 2003. Feel free to use it in your travel log. If possible could you send me the link (if it is a webpage) for posterity's sake?
Thanks!

Wikimania in Atlanta!

Hi! I noticed your involvement on U.S. South-related articles, categories and WikiProjects, and I wanted to let you know about a bid we're formulating to get next year's Wikimania held in Atlanta! If you would like to help, be sure to sign your name to the "In Atlanta" section of the Southeast team portion of the bid if you're in town, or to the "Outside Atlanta" section if you still want to help but don't live in the city or the suburbs. If you would like to contribute more, please write on my talk page, the talk page of the bid, or join us at the #wikimania-atlanta IRC chat on freenode.org. Have a great day!

P.S. While this is a template for maximum efficiency, I would appreciate a note on my talk page so I know you got the message, and what you think. This is time-sensitive, so your urgent cooperation is appreciated. :) Mike H. I did "That's hot" first! 07:20, 4 September 2007 (UTC)

List of churches in Omaha, Nebraska

Hello Ichabod. Two things: One, thanks for clamping down on the ridiculous lists of churches that are scattered throughout WP - I hope you keep going. Second, I hope that you will reconsider the AfD for List of churches in Omaha, Nebraska, as I have added a great deal of information. The content needs to be moved now to Churches in Omaha, but other than that I think it adds a great deal of encyclopedic content. Thanks for considering it. • Freechild'sup? 01:52, 27 November 2007 (UTC)

Thanks for your help with the Churches of Christ

Thanks for your prompt comment on my inquiry. Since ThuranX may no longer be watching the Churches of Christ, I have left a reply on my talk page: User_talk:Johnparkw#The_importance_of_Acapella_music_to_the_Churches_of_Christ. John Park (talk) 13:56, 26 April 2008 (UTC)

Carroll County Court House

I might be able to but the design of the court square may make it hard to get a picture of just the court house without any buildings. Rearete (talk) 18:03, 21 November 2008 (UTC)

Courthouse photos

Ok, Ichabod, here's the grand plan for the long weekend. I'm going to try and get the one in Chattanooga, and hopefully Sequatchie, Grundy, and Warren. I can get Pickett at some point in the coming weeks, and I can probably get the four strays in upper East Tennessee over the Christmas holidays. If you can get Davidson and Nashville's vassal counties (I thought Sumner had one, but I can't find it on Wikimedia), that'll just leave a few in the far west. If you already have any of the ones I mentioned, be sure to let me know. Bms4880 (talk) 16:49, 24 November 2008 (UTC)

Sounds great. I made a trip down to Alabama this weekend and managed to snag Giles, Marshall, Bedford, and Lincoln. Sumner used to have a photo but a bot deleted it because it wasn't tagged properly or some reason or another. I can easily get Sumner and Davidson, no worries. I can probably snag some others in Middle Tennessee too. Also this guy (an acquaintance of mine) says that it's ok to use his courthouse photos from Flickr on Wikipedia. So you might want to check to see if he has taken any before making a long drive somewhere. Thanks for your help. It does make the articles look better. Plus it's always interesting for me to visit the town square. --Ichabod (talk) 00:44, 25 November 2008 (UTC)
Oh, good. He has the Pickett courthouse. I'll shift focus to the east. Bms4880 (talk) 14:23, 25 November 2008 (UTC)

Barnstar

The Bluegrass Barnstar
For performing the tedious task of updating the infobox of all the Kentucky counties with pictures of their respective courthouses (minus the five we don't have photos for yet), I award you the Bluegrass Barnstar, the signature award of WikiProject Kentucky. Thanks for your help! Acdixon (talk contribs count) 16:51, 25 November 2008 (UTC)

I really meant to help with this, but I was working on major expansions of Henry Cornelius Burnett and James Guthrie (American politician). Acdixon (talk contribs count) 16:51, 25 November 2008 (UTC)

Thanks! I appreciate the barnstar! --Ichabod (talk) 00:11, 26 November 2008 (UTC)

A tag has been placed on Image:Betterthanezraconcert.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section I8 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is available as a bit-for-bit identical copy on the Wikimedia Commons under the same name, or all references to the image on Wikipedia have been updated to point to the title used at Commons.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on [[ Talk:Image:Betterthanezraconcert.jpg|the talk page]] explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. Soundvisions1 (talk) 13:35, 4 December 2008 (UTC)

Burgess Falls

It's no problem, it's a good photo. Some people try to cram images into an article and end up cutting off the flow of text or creating giant whitespace gaps. I've created a Burgess Falls category on Wikimedia, and added a banner link to it on the Wikipedia article. Bms4880 (talk) 14:08, 6 May 2009 (UTC)

Wiki-meetup Nashville on Labor Day weekend!

Wiki-meetup Nashville will be September 5–6 (Labor Day weekend) 2009. No conference rooms or libraries. Food, beer and conversation, maybe even a show. So come either day or both! --EdwardsBot (talk) 00:09, 2 July 2009 (UTC)

John Sevier

Thanks for your attention to that article in the portal. Apparently the image got bigger since the portal article was created (!). Your edit worked, and I trimmed the image size a bit more. See Portal:Tennessee/Selected biography/4. And, yes, the portal serves up items randomly... --Orlady (talk) 13:11, 10 July 2009 (UTC)

Courthouse pictures in Wyoming

I'm not entirely certain, but I think that this is the Laramie County Courthouse. Nyttend (talk) 05:32, 30 July 2009 (UTC)

Thanks. I added it to the county article. Ichabod (talk) 11:56, 30 July 2009 (UTC)

NowCommons: File:Tacobell-byb.jpg

File:Tacobell-byb.jpg is now available on Wikimedia Commons as Commons:File:TacoBellBackYardBurgers.jpg. This is a repository of free media that can be used on all Wikimedia wikis. The image will be deleted from Wikipedia, but this doesn't mean it can't be used anymore. You can embed an image uploaded to Commons like you would an image uploaded to Wikipedia, in this case: [[File:TacoBellBackYardBurgers.jpg]]. Note that this is an automated message to inform you about the move. This bot did not copy the image itself. --Erwin85Bot (talk) 02:30, 11 August 2009 (UTC)

Re: Unincorporated communities

Not that I know of. I've been making all of those by hand, and for the infoboxes I generally copy them from another article and change the data. --TheCatalyst31 ReactionCreation 22:20, 21 August 2009 (UTC)

Nice photo of the business district. Thanks for adding it to the infobox. Finetooth (talk) 23:01, 5 September 2009 (UTC)

Kansas smalltown photos

I like the Chase County Courthouse photos :-) When you're around photographing buildings in various communities, could you try to get photos of buildings on the National Register of Historic Places? Lists of some counties' NRHP sites are at National Register of Historic Places listings in Kansas, while many counties have their own county lists that are linked at that page. Nyttend (talk) 13:30, 6 September 2009 (UTC)

Thanks :-) One question — when you were in Greensburg, did you get a picture of the old brick building downtown? Nyttend (talk) 00:39, 8 September 2009 (UTC)
Thanks for the compliment :-) Yes, I wonder what it must be like there; I've never seen wreckage from a disaster like that, so it's surely far beyond what I can imagine. I've only experienced the Great Plains a couple of times, and never closer than U.S. 283 between Dodge and Minneola, so I'm definitely not familiar with Kiowa County. Nyttend (talk) 03:20, 10 September 2009 (UTC)
Thanks for the link! I've uploaded the picture as File:S.D. Robinett Building.jpg. Nyttend (talk) 14:36, 1 October 2009 (UTC)
