Welcome![edit]

Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. The following links will help you begin editing on Wikipedia:

Please bear these points in mind while editing Wikipedia

The Wikipedia tutorial is a good place to start learning about Wikipedia. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my talk page. By the way, you can sign your name on Talk and discussion pages using four tildes, like this: ~~~~ (the software will replace them with your signature and the date). Again, welcome! 220 of Borg 03:42, 21 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Imelda Marcos[edit]

Hello Imeldific,
I am disappointed that not only have you again edited without any edit summary, but you have reverted [1] a perfectly legitimate edit I made [2] to the Imelda Marcos page. You could also have informed of why you did this on my talk page, though an edit summary is preferred (both is of course even better!).
• You may need to look at the WP:manual of style (WP:MOS) at WP:SURNAME where you will find that as this is an encyclopaedia we do not refer to persons by their first name, in most cases. Therefore the page should not refer to Imelda Marcos as 'Imelda' throughout the entire page. It starts to sound like a promotional 'Fan' page if we do that. Referring to the person by their surname is normal practise, except where she and her husband are both being mentioned, and then their first names are used to prevent confusion about which 'Marcos' is being refereed to.
• See also WP:Ownership. Your username suggests the possibility of a WP:Conflict of interest (WP:COI).

I am also aware of your request to move the page to Imelda. 220 of Borg 03:37, 22 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia. However, talk pages are meant to be a record of a discussion; deleting or editing legitimate comments, as you did at Talk:Imelda Marcos, is considered bad practice, even if you meant well. Even making spelling and grammatical corrections in others' comments is generally frowned upon, as it tends to irritate the users whose comments you are correcting. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia.

Imeldific, you should not be changing the importance level for WikiProjects listed at Talk:Imelda Marcos. It is up for each WikiProject to determine how important an article is for that particular project. Originally, the Fashion WikiProject listed the article at Mid importance; you have changed this twice, first to High and now to Top. I am restoring it to Mid; please do not edit this again. Thank you. BlueMoonset (talk) 14:00, 30 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Imelda Marcos, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page The Telegraph. Imelda Marcos[edit]

I have included the content that she was a "kleptocrat" with the required citation. Why are you removing reliably sourced content from an article?

Your name and edit history suggest that you are a single purpose account with a conflict of interest.

Following your ANI reports regarding my conduct, I thought it would be best to contact you here, to try and clear the air and explain what I consider the problem to be.

1. Your ANI reports seemed to be an act of revenge, because you didn't like me removing your content. That's ok with me this time, but the next time you have a content dispute with someone, it's a far better idea to discuss the content, rather than looking for revenge. 2. Your content seems to be unsourced and giving undue positive weight to Imelda Marcos. It doesn't matter what your personal opinion of her is, we always try to make a fair and balanced article. Unfortunately for the entire Marcos clan, the overwhelming opinion on reliable sources is rather negative, so that is what the article reflects. 3. Single purpose account - ie. you are on wikipedia to just edit one article, or one group of closely related articles. Because of you username and the fact that you focus only on Imelda Marcos related articles, people automatically are skeptical of your edits. I suggest that it might be a good idea to change your user name into something that is related to Imelda Marcos, and try to stay away from her articles. There are millions of articles available to edit on wikipedia, why not choose one that you don't have an emotional or personal connection with?

Feel free to discuss any of the above three points. Spacecowboy420 (talk) 07:13, 30 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]
