December 2020[edit]

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions; however, please remember the essential rule of respecting copyrights. Edits to Wikipedia may not contain material from copyrighted sources unless used with permission. It is almost never okay to copy extensive text out of a book or website and paste it into a Wikipedia article with little or no alteration, though you can clearly and briefly quote copyrighted text in the right circumstances. Content that does not comply with this legal rule must be removed. For more information on this, see:

If you still have questions, there is the teahouse, or you can click here to ask a question on your talk page and someone will be along to answer it shortly. As you get started, you may find the pages below to be helpful.

I hope you enjoy editing Wikipedia! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. Feel free to write a note on the bottom of my talk page if you want to get in touch with me. Again, welcome! — Diannaa (talk) 18:10, 19 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please do not attack other editors, as you did at Freedom of the press in India. Comment on content, not on contributors. Personal attacks damage the community and deter users. Please stay cool and keep this in mind while editing. This edit summary was inappropriate. Tayi Arajakate Talk 06:38, 23 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Freedom of the press in India[edit]

I believe I owe you an explanation as to why I am reverting your edits. You see, the part that journalists are getting killed is already mentioned in an earlier part of the article. As for specific incidents, getting into nuances like that will unnecessarily bloat the articles (we already have safety of journalists to detail that). For the last part, "the news minute" does not seem like a reliable source to me (see WP:RS). Also, you must not repeatedly reinsert your edits when they are getting challenged. You must seek WP:CONSENSUS first. I notice you have opened a discussion at WT:IN; if a majority of editors agree with you there, then you can reinsert the content. Happy editing!
