A tag has been placed on CFW Machine requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. ninety:one 20:13, 8 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion of CFW Machine[edit]

The article CFW Machine has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

I can't think of a CSD, but non-notable product.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the Proposed Deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The Speedy Deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and Articles for Deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. ninety:one 20:34, 8 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

File Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading File:Mivithi.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. English words of Tamil origin[edit]

Hello Kumar, you seem to be new, what we need is words that have citatiosn in other sources such as dictionaries. Nanri Kanatonian (talk) 21:47, 20 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The sources have to be reliable preferably from academic types. For example Dravidian Etymological Dictionary (DED), Oxford Dictionary are good places to start. Blogs, Websites and personal theories that have not been published in peer reviewed journals or newspapers are not acceptable. Hope you turn out to be a great editor. I was like you many years ago, did'nt know how to contribute effectively but eventually learnt whato to do. I will help you. Nanri Kanatonian (talk) 14:50, 21 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Disambiguation link notification for June 28[edit]

Hi. When you recently edited List of English words of Tamil origin, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Script, Smooth and Letter (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Hello, I'm Yintan. I wanted to let you know that I removed an external link you added to the page Tamil language, because to me it seemed inappropriate for an encyclopedia. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page, or take a look at our guidelines about links. Thanks,  Yinta 11:49, 23 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
