Earl MacDonald page

Thank you for your suggestions regarding the "Earl MacDonald" page I created. I value your input, as I am by no means an expert in writing Wikipedia articles. I will endeavor to further edit the page, but would certainly welcome your further input. The articles you linked will be helpful. I was unaware that blog sites are not considered credible references. May I pose direct questions to you from time to time, calling upon your expertise?Paul Gruhn 21:41, 11 June 2015 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Pgruhn (talkcontribs)

Thanks for undertaking the GA review

Hi IndianBio, thanks for volunteering to undertake the GA review of Jeff Wayne's Musical Version of The War of the Worlds – The New Generation. I see you have plenty of experience with record album articles and I look forward to responding positively to your review. I hope it is a mutually beneficial experience. Cheers. Prhartcom (talk) 15:53, 9 June 2015 (UTC)

Hi Prhartcom how are you? Yes I have a little experience with the music articles and would surely review the article thoroughly. :) —Indian:BIO [ ChitChat ] 05:46, 10 June 2015 (UTC)
Thanks again for your helpful comments and examples. I will look to you again someday soon I hope, when it is ready. Prhartcom (talk) 12:56, 12 June 2015 (UTC)
Hello Prhartcom just an FYI, probably this edit would be more suitable to be left with the reviewer as it is listed in the GA instructions. :) —Indian:BIO [ ChitChat ] 13:43, 12 June 2015 (UTC)

Nomination

Hi, what do you think about nominating Cheek to Cheek Tour for GA and Lady Gaga videography for FA? I think both articles are respecting the criteria.Raulkul (talk) 05:57, 13 June 2015 (UTC)

They are a long long way to go. Lets not be hasty. —Indian:BIO [ ChitChat ] 06:01, 13 June 2015 (UTC)

List of most viewed YouTube videos

OK, I wanna say something. I updated because I wanted to correct Dark Horse's view count, thank you for letting me know that we update the page every 5 days. HOWEVER, I also wanna say something else. How are we gonna call this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HP-MbfHFUqs? It's the 30th most viewed video on YouTube, and it's not a viral video or a music video. I think it's actually weird that such a video became so popular. Again, how will it be referred to in the article? TVShowFan122 (talk) 11:17, 14 June 2015 (UTC)

Hanky Panky

Hey IndianBio!! Great news on getting "Hanky Panky" approved as a GA!!! I really hope we can work together on another Madonna-related article :) Cheers and hope is all well" --Chrishm21 (talk) 23:35, 14 June 2015 (UTC)

Chrishm21 thanks. Just wanted to let you know do not manually update book talk pages. It is the job of a Bot to do so and will be done in no time. —Indian:BIO [ ChitChat ] 05:42, 15 June 2015 (UTC)

External links

May I know how is that promotional and why I am being accused of promotional account? The links contains info about the film which is valid info. Care to explain please? Angelgirl1992 (talk) 18:29, 14 June 2015 (UTC)

And why are you hell bent on adding link from that particular website? You own it don't you? —Indian:BIO [ ChitChat ] 18:32, 14 June 2015 (UTC)
for god sake I don't own anything, why are you so hell bent on reverting that? Is this what Wikipedia is about? biting new comers on the basis of assumptions, really? I expected a more logical reply, rather than assumptions, if you have any regarding the content of the link, that would help. You gave me two warnings within a minute despite no edits made by me between those warnings, isn't that something NOT recommended? if you wanna report me to WP:AIV and bite me do it straightaway no need to give illogical warnings that you may not explain yourself. Angelgirl1992 (talk) 19:10, 14 June 2015 (UTC)
Angelgirl1992 keep that sass to yourself, you again added those WP:ELNO failing links to the articles when I specifically mentioned in the warning not to do so. If you want the links to be added explain in talk page how they pass WP:ELNO and WP:RS and gain consensus. At present they are strict WP:COPYVIO links which do not add anything for reader's understanding except for directing them to such mal content. And consider this as another warning, because the next one will surely be at WP:ANI. —Indian:BIO [ ChitChat ] 13:47, 15 June 2015 (UTC)

RE: Bookends GA

Hey, any update on the GA review for Bookends? Saginaw-hitchhiker (talk) 22:07, 18 June 2015 (UTC)

You changed the image without discussing it with me. Umm... ignore my statement of deeming your version as a "promo". That was a UK or European edition. US promo or US cassette would represent the single well. --George Ho (talk) 05:16, 19 June 2015 (UTC)

@George Ho: I do believe we prefer loading the CD single image over casette. Correct me if I'm wrong. —Indian:BIO [ ChitChat ] 05:24, 19 June 2015 (UTC)
CD can't be preferred over cassette. Well... same for other way around. However, Carey is American, and American customers who bought the single might still have the commercially release cassette. When I saw the cover, I assumed that the single was universal. However, I was wrong. The US cassette edition represents the success of the single. At the time of release, cassettes were going popular. Using the UK CD... well, since one-image rule is enforced by administrators, can be used only if the US editions don't have a cover or the single was not released in the US. But Vision of Love was an American success commercially, and neither UK CD nor US CD promo may help. If you want to use the US CD promo cover, let's do the RFC then. --George Ho (talk) 05:33, 19 June 2015 (UTC)
No it was a simple question and I got the answer. —Indian:BIO [ ChitChat ] 05:35, 19 June 2015 (UTC)

 — Chris Woodrich (talk) 16:16, 21 June 2015 (UTC)

I changed the Emmy Awards, Lady Gaga has won 1 Emmy out of 5 nominations, before it said 1 nomination and I was correct

You made a mistake and she was nominated for 5 Emmy's for her Monster Ball Production and won one She won the "Outstanding Picture Editing for a Special" in 2011 There are also many pictures of her holding her Emmy Award online

Here is my Source: http://www.emmys.com/shows/lady-gaga-presents-monster-ball-tour-madison-square-garden

Dude, the source clearly mentions that for "Outstanding Picture Editing For A Special (Single Or Multi-Camera) - 2011", the winners listed are Mike Polito, Bill DeRonde, Kevin O'Dea, Katie Hetland and nowhere Gaga can be found. —Indian:BIO [ ChitChat ] 04:48, 22 June 2015 (UTC)

Vaporwave????

May I ask where is your source saying "Bitch I'm Madonna" is a vaporwave track? I have nothing against Madonna as I see that you are a huge fan of her, she has good music, but I personally think "Bitch I'm Madonna" has no vaporwave influences or qualities whatsoever. It is a simple EDM track with trap influences, and I think saying that it is vaporwave is incorrect. If there are certain examples and reasons as to why it is a vaporwave track that I haven't noticed, then I'll believe it, but until then I think saying it is vaporwave is incorrect.

Thank you.

Check adjacent source and read Wikipedia's policy on verifiability. —Indian:BIO [ ChitChat ] 05:43, 24 June 2015 (UTC)

You are not doing bad things at all Chris. Just this particular article I'm pretty sure fails WP:CFORK. —Indian:BIO [ ChitChat ] 04:24, 25 June 2015 (UTC)

Bitch I'm Madonna

Hey, thanks for the edit summary, but Ellis only changed it from the manual way to the template. He didn't do anything wrong as such or add false info, he just got the chart position wrong.  — Calvin999 09:24, 25 June 2015 (UTC)

Hi Calvin999, no Ellis did add false info see here. The user added a peak for the Hot 100 chart when Billboard has not revealed any chart information for it. —Indian:BIO [ ChitChat ] 09:26, 25 June 2015 (UTC)
Ah right I didn't see the addition of the Hot 100, just the changing of the Hot Dance Club Songs from manually added to template with the wrong chart position.  — Calvin999 09:29, 25 June 2015 (UTC)

"Nature Boy" and Bill Pester

I've started an article on Bill Pester, which you may be interested in looking at. Regarding "Nature Boy", I've seen no sources apart from the Akasha Richmond recipe book (here) which refer to Pester as being eden ahbez's "mentor". You might like to look at some of the sources in my article and consider whether or not the wording in the "Nature Boy" article somewhat overstates the case for Pester's influence. Thanks. Thanks, will try to look. —Indian:BIO [ ChitChat ] 16:42, 28 June 2015 (UTC)

madonna "bitch i'm madonna" change

Hi! Thank you for contact with me. I put yesterday the tracklist of the digital release of the "Bitch I'm Madonna" remixes which is going to be released next 16 june. The problem was that I didn't put the references. The problem is that you deleted my entry and the one that it was put with the digital single edition.

If you want, you can ad again the facts. I don't know how to put references, but here is the web where you can see the tracklist from where I take the info. http://www.madonnarama.com/posts-en/2015/05/08/bitch-im-madonna-will-be-the-third-single-off-madonnas-rebel-heart/

You can also ad the "release history" box with the date of 16 june for the release of the digital remix ep worldwide.

Thank you very, very much!

OK, IndianBio, I reverted it because we don't have Baby when it reached 1 bilion views on VEVO, so I guessed we must note it when it passes the 1 bilion views on YouTube, not when it passes them on VEVO. Gangnam Style is not a VEVO video, so it's OK to have the YouTube date, but if we have Dark Horse like that, then we must also have Baby like that. However, I will edit the page so that it mentions the specific date YouTube updated the views. TVShowFan122 (talk) 05:49, 30 June 2015 (UTC)

Co-nominate

Hi IndianBio - I was wondering if you could tell me how to co-nominate a GA article like you did on Give Me All Your Luvin'. It would be appreciated. Beatleswhobeachboys (talk) 12:34, 1 July 2015 (UTC)

Hi @Beatleswhobeachboys:, when you add the following in the talk page of the article: {{subst:GAN|subtopic=songs}}, save it and then when you edit it again, you will see that there is a parameter for nominator. There you can add the other person's name. Cheers. —Indian:BIO [ ChitChat ] 13:13, 1 July 2015 (UTC)

You Must Love Me

Hey IndianBio! Just dropping by to ask you if this could be used as a reference for YMLM? I know it's technically a fanpage but it's an extended interview with one of the song's composers. Please tell me if it can be used or not. Thank you. --Chrishm21 (talk) 21:45, 1 July 2015 (UTC)

PS, I'm done with the expansion, if you wanna edit/add/change something before I post it on the article, please do so :) --Chrishm21 (talk) 01:49, 2 July 2015 (UTC)
Fan pages are not acceptable in any way, their interviews also fail Verifiability. —Indian:BIO [ ChitChat ] 04:56, 2 July 2015 (UTC)

IndianBio, you opened a review of this nomination a month ago now, and have not yet begun the actual review. If you do not plan to begin the review in the next few days, please let me know and we can put the nomination back into the reviewing pool; with the GA Cup having started, it stands a decent chance of getting a new reviewer soon. Hey. Could you check the comments I've left on the article's review page? Thank you! Alex talk page! 22:18, 8 July 2015 (UTC)

Evita

Hello IndianBio, it's me yet again. I know you're probably a little annoyed with me by now :S but I come here asking if you would like to collaborate on fixing up all the Evita articles (Film, soundtrack, DCFMA, etc.) I already expanded "Another Suitcase in Another Hall" (waiting for your comments and corrections) and wanted to see if you were interested in collaborating with me on this little project. --Chrishm21 (talk) 20:34, 8 July 2015 (UTC)

Stalker comment: I think I'd be wary of changing the lead of "Another Suitcase..." to give undue prominence to the Madonna version, as you have done, Chrishm21 – I think it's better left as a song from Evita, originally released as a single by Barbara Dickson, and later sung by Madonna in the film and released as a single. Richard3120 (talk) 21:29, 8 July 2015 (UTC)
Chrishm21, you should not have expanded the article by introducing false information. You clearly wiped out Barbara Dickson's contribution and the fact that the song was first released by her as a single. This kind of false interpretation and fancruft is not allowed and don't give me the "I'm new" excuse. You have used The Broadway Song: A Singer's Guide By Mark Ross Clark as one of the references where all of this is clearly mentioned. Appreciate your efforts in developing these articles but please do not introduce false information like this. The Madonna articles are already plagued by false informations added by a previous user. Richard3120, thanks for pointing this out, it is an unacceptable misnomer of information added by the above user. I have to rectify and rewrite the article. Give me some time.
I'm sorry, I didn't knew there had been another version released before Madonna's. I beg to differ in the false information regarding that book: I used it as a source for the song's composition, it is not false or made up. Again I didn't knew about the previous version before Madonna's, I was just focusing on Madonna. I am sorry. Perhaps, if there are more notable existing versions, we should split the article into two versions, the one mention and Madonna's.--Chrishm21 (talk) 16:50, 9 July 2015 (UTC)
Chrishm21, you can't be serious – Barbara Dickson's version was mentioned in the lead section before you started work on the article, and there was a whole section listing the other recorded versions over the years... did you not see any of this? You must have known that Evita was a hugely successful stage musical and soundtrack album worldwide back in the 1970s, way before Madonna ever got near a recording studio, so it was very likely that there were previous recordings of the song. Richard3120 (talk) 18:55, 9 July 2015 (UTC)

Imagine

What makes it so certain that Wenner is right about where the song was written or composed - what does it hurt to provide a full picture of where the song may have been conceived by Lennon?

WP:RS. You are not providing any reliable source for the assertion. We require third party sources, and although you added one but it was not a reliable, hence was reverted. —Indian:BIO [ ChitChat ] 08:31, 9 July 2015 (UTC)

The picture of the lyrics on NY Hilton notepad at the former John Lennon museum in Japan is not reliable?

Definitely not. —Indian:BIO [ ChitChat ] 04:53, 10 July 2015 (UTC)

Reference

Hi, I'm here again haha I'd like to know when I add a reference the correct way is put the work or publisher? For example url=xxxx|title=xxxx|work/publisher=xxxx|date=xxxx .... thank you! GagaNutella (talk) 21:56, 11 July 2015 (UTC)

GagaNutella the correct way is to put it in the work parameter for printed media and publisher parameter for online media. But online media with original content, like Slant Magazine shud be put in work. Don't populate both at one time. —Indian:BIO [ ChitChat ] 07:09, 12 July 2015 (UTC)
So if I add a Billboard source, the correct way is work=Billboard|publisher=Prometheus Global Media? GagaNutella (talk) 15:51, 12 July 2015 (UTC)
(talk page stalker) Yes, though using "publisher" is not required in this instance. Publisher use has become widely deprecated since the beginning of 2015 when "work" is already being used. Remember that the "work" parameter automatically italicizes terms while "publisher" field does not. Snuggums (talk / edits) 15:59, 12 July 2015 (UTC)
Oh, I see now. Good reminder too. Thank you!!!! GagaNutella (talk) 16:07, 12 July 2015 (UTC)
Keep in mind that "work" is only used when it's a newspaper, magazine etc. -- Frankie talk 17:47, 12 July 2015 (UTC)
FrB.TG minor correction, the work parameter can be used for anything with original content as well. That's why we have started using Slant Magazine, an online original music related contentpedia, in the work parameter. —Indian:BIO [ ChitChat ] 01:38, 13 July 2015 (UTC)

I'm still catching up on Freakshow, sad that Jessica Lange won't be a part of it though. —Indian:BIO [ ChitChat ] 03:57, 13 July 2015 (UTC)
Freak Show wasn't my favourite season of the show, though I loved how creepy Dandy was. I still consider Asylum to be the best season so far. The ambiance, the performances (especially Sarah Paulson), the retribution at the end—all of it was perfect. Oh yes, it will be strange watching AHS without Lange. She was the pillar of the show, though I hope she makes a cameo or something. --Krimuk|90 (talk) 05:22, 13 July 2015 (UTC)
(talk page stalker) I have never watched the show, but I'm going to watch the upcoming one only because of the Mother Monster. -- Frankie talk 22:20, 13 July 2015 (UTC)
Gaga, Bomer and Dandy fighting for each other's affection will be too much gorgeousness in one frame. --Krimuk|90 (talk) 01:35, 14 July 2015 (UTC)
Aided by the fact that she is playing some kind of fashionista but isn't gonna sing. So full attention on her acting skills (read cookiness) this time. —Indian:BIO [ ChitChat ] 15:02, 14 July 2015 (UTC)
Like FrB.TG, I haven't seen any of the show before, but heard it's really good and that each season is essentially its own story. I'll likely watch this one for Gaga. Snuggums (talk / edits) 17:12, 14 July 2015 (UTC)
(talk page stalker) To you who haven't watched, you need to do this now! The series is excellent, well written and the characters consume you. I loved all the four seasons, including Freak Show. My favorite is Asylum (typical). By the way, I don't know you guys, but i love TV series, actually I'm addicted hahaha GagaNutella (talk) 01:51, 15 July 2015 (UTC)

LLArrow take your own advice and go through the door first. There is a reason why MOS and CONSENSUS exists, heard of the terms? I guess not, so your insufferable oversights are nothing but a hindrance to any article that you edit, as is your inability to check history and see what other editors have edited prior to you. —Indian:BIO [ ChitChat ] 04:56, 8 August 2015 (UTC)

Thank you for the work on "Another Suitcase in Another Hall" like I previously said, it wasn't my intention to belittle the other singer's version, I was simply thinking and focusing on Madonna's. As you can see I also expanded "Deeper and Deeper" and would like to collaborate and work on more Erotica articles (my fave Madonna album), I wanted to see if you wouldn't mind going over some stuff, particularly on the "Composition" section, of the article. I Can't Give You

Re the movie I CAN'T GIVE YOU ANYTHING BUT LOVE, BABY: What do you mean, "unsourced?" The movie exists! I've seen it three times and have a (bootleg) DVD of it. It is listed in every book written about Universal Pictures, as well as the IMDb and most biographical pieces on Broderick Crawford. I'm very scrupulous about what I post and would never dream of adding something like that unless it was positively 100% factual.

Just because you haven't heard of it does not mean it doesn't exist!

Please understand that we do not accept content in Wikipedia without adding sources. It does not matter whether you have seen it or it exists. It has to be sourced using reliable source as a parameter. —Indian:BIO [ ChitChat ] 09:09, 31 July 2015 (UTC)

Scion of Ikshvaku

Have you read this one? If yes, how is this? I wasn't even aware that the book was released in June. You worked on Tripahi's Shiva Trilogy as well. I have a feeling you love his work. Don't you? I have all three books from Shiva trilogy but didn't get time to read.—Prashant 15:36, 3 August 2015 (UTC)

Its definitely good, but the problem is the subject since we more or less know how the story is gonna come around. —Indian:BIO [ ChitChat ] 15:49, 3 August 2015 (UTC)
I have heard that the book is first in the Ram Chandra series. Was it a success or Amish Tripathi is the new one hit wonder?—Prashant 15:52, 3 August 2015 (UTC)
Its already a hit. Yes its the first in the series but you should definitely read the Shiva trilogy and then read Scion of Ikshvaku. —Indian:BIO [ ChitChat ] 15:53, 3 August 2015 (UTC)
Now that's great. I want more people from India to write. It feels good that this man is churning hits after hits. Since i was not aware of its release, now i will order it online only after reading the Shiva trilogy.—Prashant 15:59, 3 August 2015 (UTC)
