Intravenous drugs etc.

I just finished reorganizing a bunch of articles related to this topic--what a mess!

Currently:

• • IV drug
  • Intravenous drug
  • Intravenous drugs
  • Intravenous Drug Use
  • Intravenous drug user

all redirect to Intravenous drug use which is now a disambiguation page. It links either to Intravenous therapy, for a description of the medial treatment, or Intravenous drug use (recreational), for recreational uses. I cleared out two stubs in the process (Intravenous drug use and Intravenous drug) because the information there was duplicated on one of the other pages used for the disambiguation.

I also added "See Also" links between Intravenous drug use (recreational) and Recreational drug use. Perhaps these can be merged? The latter is primarily just a list of commonly used recreational drugs.

 Interesting points.  I understand about the morph/oxy oddity...  they are still widely used by IV users.  Be interesting to see what the new govt will do for drug policy.  as for the injecting centre, I'm familiar with it through my work, and I like the idea of the place.  There's no hard and fast rules about only shooting the arm, only a ban on neck injecting (high risk of hitting nerves, arteries or bit of crap going straight to the brain) and a ban on injecting other people (insurmountable legal issues regarding responsibility if the shot goes wrong).

When I get some more time, I will expand the article, so I'll keep your points on my scrapbook! --rakkar (talk) 12:38, 17 September 2008 (UTC)
