February 2018[edit]

Hello, LynxTufts. Regarding my link, you posted the same type of link so if my is not valid than unfortunately neither is yours:The use of a fresh, sharp blade as well as proper cleaning and lubrication of skin can help prevent cuts. Information icon Hello, I'm Infoonthecloud. I wanted to let you know that one or more external links you added to Shaving have been removed because they seemed to be inappropriate for an encyclopedia. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page, or take a look at our guidelines about links. Thank you. Information icon Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to Shaving. Wikipedia is not a collection of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include, but are not limited to, links to personal websites, links to websites with which you are affiliated (whether as a link in article text, or a citation in an article), and links that attract visitors to a website or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam guideline for further explanations. Because Wikipedia uses the nofollow attribute value, its external links are disregarded by most search engines. If you feel the link should be added to the page, please discuss it on the associated talk page rather than re-adding it. Linking to commercial sites is generally not appropriate (unless referencing an article about that company) Infoonthecloud (talk) 14:45, 2 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

February 2018[edit]

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Shaving. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Please be particularly aware that Wikipedia's policy on edit warring states:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made.
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes; work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. Cordless Larry (talk) 17:10, 2 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop your disruptive editing.

If you continue to disrupt Wikipedia, as you did at Shaving, you may be blocked from editing. Cordless Larry (talk) 17:40, 2 February 2018 (UTC) Infoonthecloud (talk) 17:42, 2 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you Cordless Larry I was not aware that was the process, and Lynx Tufts was the first to edit against me. Below explains why he did so, I also just posted this in the appropriate talk page.

LynxTufts is clearly associated with, http://www.lynxexpression.com , a site that sells shaving products. He puts his link on the page http://www.lynxexpression.com/grooming/shaving/tips-on-shaving (Source - 29) which contains products and is a commercial site. He then removes link I post and am not associated with. The link I post (source - 32) is a high quality blog post about razor burns. LynxTufts does not want other sources similar to his source (Source - 29) because he is trying to sell products on that page where as the link I posted does not. 2 February 2018 (UTC)

I did not place the link there and the similarity with my username is a coincidence. I have removed the link and some other unnecessary 'how to...' instructions from that section. LynxTufts (talk) 17:50, 2 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
