I had already requested it, you can see the red box at the top. It's the WP:G6 criterion for speedy deletion (a page someone obviously created in error). You, as an author, can request deletion of any page that you created provided that the only substantial content of the page was added by you—under the WP:G7 criterion. Feedback on My First Article[edit]

I have added my first article, Wikipedia_talk:Articles_for_creation/VREAM, and would appreciate any editor feedback and assistance. I studied the Wikipedia guidelines and did my best to get it right. I do see that many such articles, particularly those written by newbies, are deleted because they do not pass the notability threshold. To inoculate against that, I'd like to make the case that the company I wrote about is indeed notable. In the 1990's, there was a flurry of activity in the area of virtual reality (VR), a period of time that is not very well covered by the Wikipedia virtual reality page I might add. Many companies with significant funding and very smart technologists were focused on bringing VR to the mainstream. This particular company was really the first to bring accessible VR to the PC; previously it was only workable on high-end workstations. It was also one of the first companies to get venture capital funding for VR. Personally, I find the invention of a language to define reality notable, especially the fact that it was created by one person, the founder of this company. Moreover, this company ended up getting acquired by a high-profile tech company and then consolidated the VR industry, buying the two biggest players. As the Web boomed, interest in VR faltered. The closing of this company I have written about marked the closing of a significant chapter in the history of VR, a history that will one day be more important when VR does finally make it to the mainstream. Hello, I'm Deb. I wanted to let you know that I undid one or more of your recent contributions because they appeared to be promotional. Advertising and using Wikipedia as a "soapbox" are against Wikipedia policy and not permitted. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about Wikipedia. Thank you. First of all, the answer to your question is "Yes". You are not supposed to create articles "in draft mode" in article space - you should create them in your sandbox or in draft mode or submit them through Articles for Creation. Secondarily, the article has been deleted not because the subject was not considered noteworthy but because it was written in highly promotional language. Thirdly, STUFF EXISTS is not an argument for keeping an article.
