Comparison article[edit]

Hello Iqlas,

After the Comparison of network monitoring systems article grew so bloated to the point of being unusable, the decision was made to only categorize products that could demonstrate notability (See WP:NOTE). In most cases, this simply means that the product needs to have its own WP page first, so that the name isn't a redlink when added into the table. On prior attempts, AccelOps either had no page or had its page removed due to non-notability, and so it was subsequently removed from the table.

Since AccelOps now appears to have a WP entry, I see no reason why it couldn't be added back into the article. Just make sure the initial entry is in alphabetical order, and please be aware that if the Accelops article is deleted by another editor at some point in the future (I see multiple past nominations for deletion and speedy deletion), it will likely be removed from the table again. Hmm, one other thing -- make sure you use the right capitalization in your links. Accelops is different from AccelOps. Adding the wrong link to the comparison matrix even after you have an article is still going to make it look like a redlink to us, and someone could mistakenly delete it again. Link removal on Accelops[edit]

I removed those links on the Accelops article, because they appear to be promotional. They don't seem to serve any other purpose. If you intention is to prove Accelops supports these features, they should be added as ref-s. (I admit that I might have been over-zealous by removing them... Sorry about that.) --DanielPharos (talk) 10:54, 16 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
