October 2013[edit]

Information icon Hello, I'm Gamaliel. Wikipedia is written by people who have a wide diversity of opinions, but we try hard to make sure articles have a neutral point of view. Your recent edit to Keith Olbermann seemed less than neutral to me, so I removed it for now. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Gamaliel (talk) 03:06, 3 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

If Wikipedia is supposed to be neutral rather than partisan, then any suggestion that Olbermann is anything other than a partisan liberal or progressive is highly biased.
To my knowledge, Olbermann does not have a conservative opinion on any issue of any importance as a quick internet search should reveal.
If you are not personally familiar with Olbermann's views, see this article from the 'liberal' New York Times from 2017. https://www.nytimes.com/2017/05/08/magazine/keith-olbermann-was-once-cable-newss-liberal-standard-bearer-now-hes-missing-its-boom-times.html
Accordingly, allowing Olbermann's biographical page to be arranged in such a way as to allow him the 'last word' on what his political views is bias of the most disgusting kind as it makes a disingenuous claim to neutrality that the editor cannot possibly believe. As an experiment, ask yourself if Wikipedia would allow an editor of Donald Trump's biographical page to arrange that page in a manner so as to leave the former president with the last word that matches one of the former president's talking points.
