What can I say? You gotta be quick :) VoiceOfReason 20:41, 4 August 2006 (UTC)

deleted, but on CSD A8, not A7 as tagged. FYI - learn about A8. - CrazyRussian talk/email 03:09, 6 August 2006 (UTC)

I know. I posted a copyright vio template on the users talk page and also mentioned in the secret tattoos talk page that it was also a copyright violation. St.isaac 06:05, 6 August 2006 (UTC)
My point was that it was eligible for CSD A8, not merely {{copyvio}}. Cheers. - CrazyRussian talk/email 06:31, 6 August 2006 (UTC)
Like I said, go read WP:CSD A8 - it's speedy if a commercial site and within 48 hours of creation. template is {{db-copyvio}} - CrazyRussian talk/email 06:37, 6 August 2006 (UTC)

Re your message: I don't think the article is nonsense. And it can't be speedy deleted for reposting as somebody pointed out that you can't speedy delete something that hasn't been through an AfD. Going through the AfD would be best, I think. -- Gogo Dodo 06:25, 6 August 2006 (UTC)

No worries about the revert. =) Funny that the article's creator got the information from a Wikipedia mirror. Sorry about the rather unfriendly previous message. -- Gogo Dodo 06:37, 6 August 2006 (UTC)

Either way, it's dead...

db-bio tends might get faster service; as the admins who handle speedies may like to dispose of vanity quickly. But no matter. --EngineerScotty 07:05, 6 August 2006 (UTC)

edit summary

yeah, my mistake, i meant "see discussion" not "see d". pressed enter by mistake. CFM865 00:07, 7 August 2006 (UTC)

thinking about it as we speak, what section would you suggest, the "United States presidential election, 2004" or the "George W. Bush presidential campaign, 2004" or you can add it yourself if you would like CFM865 00:13, 7 August 2006 (UTC)

Thanks

Yeah, the mover moved it to get attention for vandalism he didn't know how to revert then User9 raised the alarm.

That was me, I was SOOO frustrated that I couldn't look up santa claus that I just made a completely unnecessary change, hoping someone would look at my edit summary and fix it. I appreciate the help though, I'm workin' on learning unicode so I can do things besides minor edits. Thanks again. Andrew Al1encas1no 01:19, 10 August 2006 (UTC)

The real history is here. This has been fixed. Bastiqueparler voir 21:37, 8 August 2006 (UTC)

Ice Cream

I noticed you signed up with the Ice Cream WikiProject; would you consider writing some stubs on the brands listed in the redlink list? Maybe Minghella Ice Cream (UK) http://www.minghella.co.uk/ or Pierre's (Cleveland, Ohio, USA) http://www.pierres.com/ . If you want suggestions about what to include in the stubs, just let me know; or if you'd rather help out in some other way, just ask. JesseW, the juggling janitor 00:15, 15 August 2006 (UTC)

No problem; enjoy your work with the First Aid project. If you'd add a note to your entry on the Ice Cream people list stating your inactive status, that'd be nice. JesseW, the juggling janitor 06:19, 22 August 2006 (UTC)

DR ABC AfD

Am I allowed to cancel the AfD since its obvious the result will be merge? -- St.isaac 17:23, 16 August 2006 (UTC)

What you can do is withdraw the AfD by striking out the opening statement with <s> and </s> and adding a statement you after it that you have withdrawn the nomination and that you've been bold and merged to two pages (of course merging the pages at the same time). Alternatively, and maybe slightly better in this case is to ask an administrator with some AfD experience to speedily close the AfD as it is obviously heading towards a merge with ABC.-- Koffieyahoo 01:04, 17 August 2006 (UTC)

Wangi/RFA

Thanks for your comments on my rfA, in the end I did manage to become an admin. Please let me know of anything I do that you've got an issue with! Thanks/wangi 00:46, 19 August 2006 (UTC)

An award! Congratulations!

On behalf of myself and the Kindness Campaign, I'd like to present this barnstar to St.isaac for for doing a fantastic job at organizing the First Aid Wikiproject, and bringing it back to life when its pulse had stopped! Congratulations, and thank you! JamieJones talk

Pressure points

Thanks for your comment. In Canada, we don't have EMT's, it's pretty much first aider, then medical first responder (52 hours training), than paramedic (2000 hours). I teach first aid, and am a medical first responder, and we don't do pressure points, so I didn't think they'd be part of first aid. If they are included in EMT training, then I guess it makes sense, though an EMT to me seems outside of first-aid training; though admittedly I don't know what exactly EMTs are qualified for. However, when I think first aid i think as the public perceives it, i guess in canada, which is standard first aid, which wouldn't include pressure points. That's where my comment came from. JamieJones talk 02:26, 31 August 2006 (UTC)

Ok, i'd rather just drop it from the project, and leave pressure points as an article on its on, keeping its content separate. But like i said, i'm flexible. JamieJones talk 19:14, 31 August 2006 (UTC)
