Rollback

Hi. I think that these are (1, 2) not obvious vandalism, which means that the rollback should not be used for these edit. Thank you. --Victor Trevor (talk) 17:00, 26 February 2022 (UTC)

Victor Trevor I used edit summaries on the first 2 edits, and post that I assumed that it was vandalism, as they were just continuing to reinstate the edit without summary. — Berrely • TalkContribs 17:03, 26 February 2022 (UTC)

Question from Victor obini (16:13, 4 March 2022)

Hello. Might sound silly but how do I decide what to link? Because if listened to my my gut, I'd end up linking every single word on a page lol. --Victor obini (talk) 16:13, 4 March 2022 (UTC)

Hey Victor obini, don't worry, that isn't a stupid question at all :). Our guideline on this can be seen at MOS:UL, though a rule of thumb is to link pages which you think would provide use to the reader to help them understand the text. — Berrely • TalkContribs 16:52, 4 March 2022 (UTC)

March 2022

Hi! When I install a user script, does its author have the ability to control my account? Is RedWarn safe? Because I don't know anything about user scripts and JavaScript or Typescripts. I just noticed that you are one of the developers of RedWarn, anyway, please just answer my question, thank you. —Ctrlwiki (talk) 11:14, 15 March 2022 (UTC)

Hi Ctrlwiki! Yes, the developer of any user script you install can enter malicious code that can effectively control your account, which is why it is only important to install userscripts from trusted developers. Many user scripts, like RedWarn, are open-source, meaning you can audit the code for yourself if you worry about its security. Unless an ill intentioned user manages to gain access to the User:RedWarn account, you should be at no risk (obviously security issues may be discovered and patched, etc.). — Berrely • TalkContribs 21:02, 15 March 2022 (UTC)
So you mean, you also control our accounts? Is RedWarn safe? —Ctrlwiki (talk) 22:59, 15 March 2022 (UTC)
@Ctrlwiki: Read what Berrely just said. Yes editors can add code that can control your account (That's why you only download scripts from trusted users), but Redwarn won't. If you have any doubt, just look at the code (It's open source), or just don't download it at all, it's as simple as that. Signed,The4lines |||| (Talk) (Contributions) 01:43, 16 March 2022 (UTC)
I'm not talking to you so don't join the discussion. I don't have any knowledge of User scripts, JavaScript, Type Scripts etc. So I enlist the help of editors who are knowledgeable in those scripts. I'm just asking straight to the point, and I hope you answer me straight to the point as well, without any explanation. Is RedWarn safe or not? You can answer it or not, I don't care. —Ctrlwiki (talk) 02:31, 16 March 2022 (UTC)
@Ctrlwiki Yes. That's all there's to know. Signed,The4lines |||| (Talk) (Contributions) 02:38, 16 March 2022 (UTC)
So it's safe? Thanks. —Ctrlwiki (talk) 02:42, 16 March 2022 (UTC)
@Ctrlwiki: Yes. Signed,The4lines |||| (Talk) (Contributions) 02:43, 16 March 2022 (UTC)

Question from Frost.xyz (17:15, 8 March 2022)

Hi Berrely, this seems like kind of an odd question but I was wondering if there was a certain guideline for creating diagrams and graphics for articles, or if there wasn't really any specific structure that you need to follow. --Frost.xyz (talk) 17:15, 8 March 2022 (UTC)

Hi Frost.xyz! It depends on what type of diagrams. For example, maps should follow Wikipedia:WikiProject Maps/Conventions. Do you have a specific type in mind? — Berrely • TalkContribs 17:38, 16 March 2022 (UTC)
I didn't have any specific type of diagram in mind, sorry. I was just wondering if there was something similar to the Wikiproject Maps but for diagrams. Thanks for the help though. Frost.xyz (talk) 17:56, 16 March 2022 (UTC)
@Frost.xyz there aren't any specific guidelines, really. Generally the best format is SVG, and I often look at other diagrams in the similar topic area and mirror their styles, though it's your choice. — Berrely • TalkContribs 18:07, 16 March 2022 (UTC)

Question from Macdady13 (10:43, 9 March 2022)

how do I actiavte dark mode? --Macdady13 (talk) 10:43, 9 March 2022 (UTC)

Hi Macdady13, welcome to Wikipedia. There is no “official” darkmode, per se, but you can toggle the dark mode gadget in the "experimental" section of the gadget tag in preferences. You can also try using a CSS snippet like User:Giraffer/ThemesBerrely • TalkContribs 17:37, 16 March 2022 (UTC)

Question from Azeem1Hadzrie on LBC News (12:50, 19 March 2022)

What should I do to fix stuff in that page? --Azeem1Hadzrie (talk) 12:50, 19 March 2022 (UTC)

Hi Azeem1Hadzrie, what is your question specifically? What do you want to “fix” on that article? — Berrely • TalkContribs 13:30, 20 March 2022 (UTC)
Grammar and more Azeem1Hadzrie (talk) 13:40, 20 March 2022 (UTC)
Azeem1Hadzrie if you want to proofread an article, I recommend starting by reading the copyediting page. — Berrely • TalkContribs 13:43, 21 March 2022 (UTC)

Thanks for highlighting many egregious problems about the article; I'm sorry that I've been too combative and charged during the review. Looking back, I should be more cooperative with you guys and be willing to be criticized more. So, in your opinion, what sources should I had added, and what aspects of the topic have I been blinded from? CactiStaccingCrane (talk) 07:09, 23 March 2022 (UTC)

Hi CactiStaccingCrane,
I appreciate your work on the SpaceX Starship article, and I understand you are trying to address the concerns brought up. I think the cleanup tags you've prepended to the article may be unnceccesary; whilst I understand you are trying to not mislead readers into an incorrect point of view, it may be better to put them further down, in their specific section :). As I understand you are a fan of SpaceX related topics, it might be hard to go into writing the article with a neutral point of view, so it is probably best to rely on building sections on praises/criticisms with the help of others, to reduce the risk of any POVs. As I don't generally edit space related articles, I may not be the best person to ask on this, but I am aware there are many editors who contribute in this topic area. — Berrely • TalkContribs 16:39, 24 March 2022 (UTC)

Question from Was a fan on Days of Our Lives (15:04, 24 March 2022)

Why have you changed my Used to be favorite soap? The writers need to rethink what the are writing! Devils, Gays, and Lesbians?????? Come on people! I almost stop watching the show when the Devil first came to Salem but stuck it out. I have been a fan since 1976 but am no longer watching because the Actors who played Tom and Alice Horton are probably rolling over in their graves if they knew how Days has turned out! Sooo very disappointed in what used to be an amazing daytime soap! 😢😢😢 --Was a fan (talk) 15:04, 24 March 2022 (UTC)

what? — Berrely • TalkContribs 16:32, 24 March 2022 (UTC)
