Stefano Bianchi moved to draftspace[edit]

An article you recently created, Stefano Bianchi, is not suitable as written to remain published. It appears there is a WP:UPE or WP:COI conflict. Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, and have addressed the UPE/COI issue, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. As per WP policy, please do not move into mainspace yourself. Onel5969 TT me 15:41, 26 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for rewieving the article. I will be happy to modify it in order to comply with WP policies. However, I'm not sure how I'm supposed to address the UPE/COI issue. It seems to me that most information in the article is properly referenced with independent and reliable sources. The only notable exception may be some biographical information taken directly from the personal website of the subject. Is that you are referring to? Should I find an independent source for that or remove it to submit it for a new review? Itastrowiki (talk) 16:21, 26 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Itastrowiki, while reviewing the draft I have strong belief that you might have connected with the draft as WP:UPE. The high-resolution photograph of the subject person says a lot. Please reply honestly. Twinkle1990 (talk) 09:40, 23 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, thanks for taking the time to review the draft! The high-resolution photo was taken directly from the personal website:
https://sites.google.com/inaf.it/stefanobianchi
Maybe should be referenced in this sense? Itastrowiki (talk) 10:06, 23 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
But you have mentioned Source as your own work, which is clear WP:COPYVIO under WP:NFCI. You must delete the image as Wikipedia is strict against copyright violation. Again, you must declare WP:UPE or WP:COI on your homepage. Twinkle1990 (talk) 10:36, 23 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Ok, my fault, sorry for that, I remove the image. I will carefully read the copyright rules to understand how can I have it back (if possible). Any help is appreciated. Itastrowiki (talk) 10:40, 23 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I understand you already started the procedure to remove it, so I don't have to do anything else. I see there's also a low-resolution picture here:
https://www.uniroma3.it/en/persone/cVNTVWRYbm5qQlFYNnEwaXJGYTJiKzlWMXlqeVIxS1FJMEJGclJ4S283UT0=/profilo/
Both pictures seem public to me, but I will read the copyright rules in Wikipedia and try t understand what I can do. Thanks! Itastrowiki (talk) 10:43, 23 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I have nominated the image for deletion and the deletion is done. Now you clarify about WP:UPE and WP:COI. Twinkle1990 (talk) 10:48, 23 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
If I understand it correctly, I am certainly not in a WP:PE situation, while I may be in the WP:COI state, since I know the subject of the draft. Itastrowiki (talk) 10:53, 23 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Have you got paid to create the Stefano Bianchi article? And are you related to him? Twinkle1990 (talk) 10:54, 23 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
No! Itastrowiki (talk) 10:55, 23 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
If not, then how come your very first article is about a scholar? A new editor starts from little things, but you have started with a big one. How come? Twinkle1990 (talk) 10:56, 23 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
It was an experiment, considering that other scholars have Wikipedia pages, and I was curious to see how the procedure worked, and how some scholars are considered of interest for Wikipedia and others not. It seems to me that it somehow depends on circumstances, apart from fulfilling some basic criteria. In this sense, whatever the final outcome, it was an interesting experiment. I would not consider it a 'big thing', it was simply a matter of using 2-3 templates of other astrophysicists and gather the information. Itastrowiki (talk) 11:02, 23 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Ref (references) should be after comma and period. Make the corrections and add his Google scholar profile in External link Twinkle1990 (talk) 11:15, 23 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Ok, thanks, I will do it as soon as possible, then I will get back to you. Itastrowiki (talk) 11:19, 23 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Done! Itastrowiki (talk) 21:13, 23 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Also remove hyperlinking in article body. Twinkle1990 (talk) 11:16, 23 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Can you give me a specific example of what you are referring to? Itastrowiki (talk) 11:20, 23 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
You said the article is your experiment, so you should know the basics of article creation and referencing to claims. Twinkle1990 (talk) 11:22, 23 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Ok, I will work on that later, and I'll let you know Itastrowiki (talk) 11:24, 23 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
All external hyperlinks should be now under the 'External links', apart from the website in the info box. Itastrowiki (talk) 21:15, 23 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
