Hello! I'm so sorry that I didn't get back to you sooner about your translation of the Caplan Collection article. I'm of course so appreciative, thank you! It looks great. Every translation you do makes our material that much more accessible to our wide spanish-speaking audience. Another important thing that would be helpful is if you'd like to distribute our images in Commons into Spanish articles. Or if you'd like to translate descriptions in the images into Spanish. I changed it in the box at the bottom of the Festival page so all you have to do is click on that red link to start creating the page. Emplume[edit]

Two major issues. The first is that you have a lot of single lines, no paragraph structure with little to know citation. I dont know where most of this information comes from. The second is that much of your wording sounds like Spanish (French?). I reworded the lead. Try paraphrasing and grouping the information.18:26, 15 October 2011 (UTC)

Forbidden City[edit]

I did some work on Forbidden City. The main issue I see is that you use a LOT of words to present simple ideas and some of it is rather confusing. For example, I did not work on this paragraph

The programs include nine pieces, most of them ancient melodies that also try to express the reflection of life. One of them is "Jackdaws playing with the water", an ancient piece from Han dynasty that evokes a scene of a group of birds that play with water during a cold day. It is a metaphor of the optimistic persons in spite of the life's problems. "A faint perfume" from the poet Jiang Kui,[4]

As for the Emplume article. I took off the orphan tag with explanation. The wikify tag isnt important for our purposes. In English Wiki, "wikify" only means to add links to other Wikipedia articles. I just looked at the "The show" section of the Emplume article. It needs to be reorganized as it is confusing. I dont even know what "show" you refer to in the first line, then you introduce other acts when the title indicates they have only one show.Thelmadatter (talk) 15:14, 24 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Children's Museum update[edit]

It's time again to share the latest news on the Children's Museum of Indianapolis Wikipedia project! In the last few months we have been busy with our third image donation, which was made up of 150 images that were professionally photographed specifically for this upload. We are asking for volunteers to categorize these images and distribute them into Wikipedia articles. Your help is appreciated! Check them out here.

We have also donated our first video and a second GLAM-Wiki Infographic to Commons. In September we were thrilled to welcomed Jimmy Wales to the museum. Following our successful Edit-a-Thon and Translate-a-Thon in August, translations have continued with the help of the established QRpedia community, (particularly Russian translations thanks to Lvova!) We have begun to analyze our implementation of QRpedia codes and completed an extensive case study. In November we presented at the Museum Computer Network conference about how museums can effectively collaborate with Wikipedia. You can see more details on the Prezi.

In more general news, in addition to serving as the Children's Museum's Wikipedian-in-Residence, it was recently announced that I will be taking on the role of US Cultural Partnerships Coordinator for the Wikimedia Foundation. In this role I will be working to streamline the process of connecting interested US GLAMs with the Wikipedia community. If you have any questions or suggestions, feel free to let me know.
