Permission to use Fay image

Hey, Elena85. I've found the perfect picture for one of my fake storms, but it's a vintage picture of Tropical Storm Fay that can only be found on your Cyclone Season subpage. May I please use the image?--Dylan620 (talk) 23:27, 15 September 2008 (UTC)

Fay image

I have decided to use the Fay image anyway, because it is in the public domain. I hope you don't mind. Anyway, I haven't heard from you for a while. When you're back on Wikipedia, can you please tell me where you were? Thank you. --Dylan620 (talk) 16:55, 16 September 2008 (UTC)

Re: Dalila

Keep in mind that information is not limited to the TCR. Did you check Google? –Juliancolton Tropical Cyclone 20:59, 16 September 2008 (UTC)

Fair enough, but the article still needs some work. –Juliancolton Tropical Cyclone 21:17, 16 September 2008 (UTC)

GA reviews

Hi Elena85. I know it wasn't your intention, but you incorrectly review Tropical Storm Josephine (2008) for GA. Updating the article assessment is only part of the process. You have to remove the nomination from WP:GAN, add the article to WP:GA, and update the other necessary templates, including Template:GA number. As such, I've reverted your review and relisted the article as a nomination. If you wouldn't mind, could you avoid reviewing GAs until you become more familiar with the process? Thanks, –Juliancolton Tropical Cyclone 19:02, 17 September 2008 (UTC)

Re: Catarina

I don't understand. Please clarify what you're referring to. –Juliancolton Tropical Cyclone 01:23, 20 September 2008 (UTC)

Well then yes, that comment was intended to be a light-hearted bit of sarcasm. –Juliancolton Tropical Cyclone 01:28, 20 September 2008 (UTC)

Quilty not quinty

rember the article is quilty look at Tropical Storm Erick (2007) wich is a FA canidate.--Yellow Evan (talk) 22:20, 21 September 2008 (UTC)

Short articles can be good, thats why I suggetsed Tropical Storm Erick (2007). i hope you have happy editing. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Yellow Evan (talkcontribs) 22:40, 21 September 2008 (UTC)

Yes, short articles can be good, but I'm afraid your articles do not apply, Yellow Evan. –Juliancolton Tropical Cyclone 22:42, 21 September 2008 (UTC)

Agreed, otherwise they would have never met the requirements. –Juliancolton Tropical Cyclone 22:53, 21 September 2008 (UTC)

Your current sandbox on TD11 is a good example. The article will be necessary, and eventually a sandbox will be needed. However this is not the way to start it. You copy/pasted a huge section from a Tropical Weather Outlook. There is no lead, and no citations. Excluding conjunctions and prepositions, 11 of this article's 23 words are misspelled. If this were not typical of your work I would say "it's just a sandbox, who cares", but you need to put a lot more work into you articles. Spell check them, cite them, and make them comprehensive. Creating tons of awful articles like this just makes it harder for the rest of us. I suggest that you take up a mentor-ship and learn how to write good articles before starting another one. Or, you might want to try working on existing articles, were 23-word contributions are appropriate. Plasticup T/C 23:14, 21 September 2008 (UTC)

Re: Track maps

Hi Elena85. What is your source of 1966 PHS best track data? I can't understand nothing. Can you clarify those data for the 1966 PHS depressions or specify what is the source? -Ramisses (talk) 20:40, 23 September 2008 (UTC)

Ok, here is the track maps:

Best track data for TD 22E is missing. -Ramisses (talk) 23:22, 23 September 2008 (UTC)

OK, I'll make it tomorrow. It's getting very late where I live. -Ramisses (talk) 00:51, 24 September 2008 (UTC)

Re: Hi (a.k.a. the mighty fake Hurricane Elena)

Thanks for the compliment on my fake hurricanes; I've seen yours on your testing ground. I'm guessing that Heidi was a pretty bad hurricane, considering (judging by your using Bret of 1999 as Heidi's picture) it was a Category 4 or 5 right offshore Texas or Mexico. I still remember your old request for Elena being a Category 5; on my fictional Earth-like planet, Ceres (named for the dwarf planet of the same name), 1997's Hurricane Elena was declared the worst hurricane to ever hit Jamaica, roaring into the island dead-on with 160 mph winds (the Category 5 strength you requested). Then, Elena became the first named Atlantic hurricane on Planet Ceres to make two Category 5 landfalls when it made a direct hit on the Mexican island of Cozumel with winds screaming at 165-170 mph, then roaring into the mainland just south of Cancun with 160 mph winds, causing major damage, killing hundreds, and becoming the only cyclone ever on Planet Ceres to make three Category 3 landfalls, a feat that remains unmatched after 11 years. Obviously, the name Elena was retired after this storm, and I would like you to send in a replacement name (you and I both know that the only rules are the storm has to be a female name beginning with 'E'). I have to go now, I'm seriously late on getting back to my homework. --Dylan620 (talk) 20:44, 24 September 2008 (UTC)

P.S.: I had no idea you and I were born only 2 months and 1 day apart.

P.S.S.: Did you pick a female hurricane (Elena) because you're a girl?

Was there any reason for this? That template is used on nearly one thousand talk pages. Please use your userspace for testing. Thank you. –Juliancolton Tropical Cyclone 21:08, 26 September 2008 (UTC)

Actually, I reverted it. Just please remember to be careful. Cheers, –Juliancolton Tropical Cyclone 21:11, 26 September 2008 (UTC)

Re:See Here

Gee, thanks! Just so you know, unless you want a different list, the list I've created for the 1995 Planet Ceres Atlantic hurricane season is here:

  • Audrey
  • Barry
  • Celina (you use the name often so I put Celina on the list.)
  • Danny
  • Emilia
  • Frederic
  • Grace
  • Hugo
  • Iris
  • Jose
  • Kim
  • Luis
  • Marilyn
  • Neil
  • Opal
  • Philip
  • Roxanne
  • Sebastian
  • Tanya
  • Van
  • Wilma

I was figuring that we could work on it together for tomorrow; I'm not available for tonight because I'm going to bed soon. And any time before bed that I do have, I will use wisely to study. Please let me know if you accept the list. (-:Dylan620 (talk) 00:35 UTC September 28, 2008:-)

I'm ready

You know how you invited me to come edit your 1995 Planet Ceres Atlantic hurricane season? I'm ready to edit now; I have 45 minutes after breakfast. See you there! Oh, and by the way, I'm in the area that may be affected by Hurricane Kyle. --Dylan620 (talk) 12:31, 28 September 2008 (UTC)

P.S.: Thanks for mentioning the 1985 Mother's Day Subtropical Storm that I made up in a record.

Progress report

1995 has five storms so far: that Subtropical Storm One you made up, plus four storms that I've made up, which are Tropical Storms Audrey, Barry, and Celina, as well as Hurricane Danny. Danny is currently under construction; please feel free to move on starting with Emilia (or TD5) while I do my homework. News from the 1995 Planet Ceres Atlantic hurricane season. --Dylan620 (talk) 14:35, 28 September 2008 (UTC)

1995 Fake Iris

I'll keep Iris's strength, but not the picture you used for Iris; firstly, it was already used for Hurricane Hugo, and secondly, Iris is a Category 5, and the picture you used is of a Category 1. --Dylan620 (talk) 21:08, 28 September 2008 (UTC)

Is it okay to make Iris a little bit stronger? The winds would rise by 5 mph. Oh, and, uh, a photo of Hurricane Gilbert is a bit powerful for Iris's strength, Iris sounds more like an Ivan photo. Just my point of view. --Dylan620 (talk) 21:50, 28 September 2008 (UTC)

Goodbye

My parents want me off for the day, so I'll be back at work with you tomorrow at about 18:00 UTC September 29 (2:00 PM Eastern Daylight Time). --Dylan620 (talk) 21:50, 28 September 2008 (UTC)

Lots of Messages

I have tons of things to say, so I'll just roll it up into one message. Yes, you may reply in the same format. --Dylan620 (talk) 19:39, 29 September 2008 (UTC)

School

I had to go to the newspaper club at my school today, so every Monday, I'll be back home at 3:00 PM (EDT).

Suggestion

I have an idea. Why not make a discussion page for the 1995 Planet Ceres Atlantic hurricane season? It would make it a lot easier to discuss edits to the season. Plus, it would slow down the rapid growth of your talk page (which is rapidly growing because I've sent 5 messages to you without anyone else doing so).

Country

My family and I have been a little curious: what country are you from? And if you live in the United States, what state are you from?

Yellow Evan, that was not vandalism. Elena only wanted to reduce the number of paragraphs, and I agree that there were too many small paragraphs. ♬♩ Hurricanehink (talk) 17:28, 15 November 2008 (UTC)
I did not say that. Leave Message ,Yellow Evan home ,Sandbox Happy Veterans day 17:32, 15 November 2008 (UTC)
What? You said "Please stop making test edits to Wikipedia, as you did to Hurricane Tina (1992). It is considered vandalism." You should not warn other people like that. It is considered very rude. ♬♩ Hurricanehink (talk) 17:35, 15 November 2008 (UTC)
