Managing a conflict of interest[edit]

Hello, JJMOON59. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on the page 2023 Warrandyte state by-election, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Thank you. Be assured there is no conflict of interest. I restored only the relevant section, and added the candidate in the top right table without inadvertently removing one of the other candidates. I will be more careful with future edits. JJMOON59 (talk) 07:19, 28 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you Fazwazzle. I give assurances there is no conflict of interest. My contributions are factual and not designed to gain or reduce advantage. If anything, 'fairness' is my constant guide. All my contributions are carefully considered and I go to great lengths to keep within WIKI's guidelines. It's risky to edit your own article if you're in politics![edit]

If you are connected to Rebecca Bradley, it's very risky to get caught editing that biography. It gets in the news very quickly and then it blows up. Here's a recent example that's turned into a huge stink for the officials involved:

More important to their political lives was all the local coverage. It was the lead story for a couple of news cycles.

The press loves "judge edits own Wikipedia article stories". Of course, in this case they especially loved "politicians threaten Wikipedia editors". This happens somewhere every week or two.

If you think that article is incorrect, use Talk:Rebecca Bradley to discuss the edits you recommend others make (consistent with our content guidelines)

Judge Bradley is already on thin ice depending on who looks at the (public) edit history of the article.
