On 15 March 2020, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Liberty County Jail, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that Liberty County Jail (pictured) in Hinesville, Georgia, now listed on the National Register of Historic Places, was once described by the state governor as a "rotten, filthy rathole"? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Liberty County Jail. You are welcome to check how many page hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, Liberty County Jail), and it may be added to the statistics page if the total is over 5,000. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.

I have sent you a note about a page you started

Hello, JJonahJackalope

Thank you for creating St. Luke's Episcopal Church (Atlanta).

User:Blythwood, while examining this page as a part of our page curation process, had the following comments:

Looks solid. Two things: I can tell you know what you're doing so would you be interested in applying to be autopatrolled, meaning your articles are published without needing to be reviewed manually? This would be really helpful to reduce the workload of pages that need manual review. Also, it's fantastic that you're doing Wikimedia Commons categories for your articles-have you considered filling out Wikidata entries (as here) that link Commons categories with articles? These put a Wikimedia Commons category on the article automatically and also allow an infobox to appear on the Commons category as here with information like a map, link to the official website and NRHP listing. It only takes a few seconds to create an item. Hope that makes sense!

To reply, leave a comment here and prepend it with {{Re|Blythwood}}. And, don't forget to sign your reply with ~~~~ .

Hey, thanks for the suggestion! I'll apply for autopatrolling and try to write up Wikidata for subsequent pages I create. JJonahJackalope (talk) 20:52, 17 May 2020 (UTC)

Autopatrolled granted

Hi JJonahJackalope, I just wanted to let you know that I have added the "autopatrolled" permission to your account, as you have created numerous, valid articles. This feature will have no effect on your editing, and is simply intended to reduce the workload on new page patrollers. For more information on the autopatrolled right, see Wikipedia:Autopatrolled. However, you should consider adding relevant wikiproject talk-page templates, stub-tags and categories to new articles that you create if you aren't already in the habit of doing so, since your articles will no longer be systematically checked by other editors (User:Evad37/rater and User:SD0001/StubSorter.js are useful scripts which can help). Feel free to leave me a message if you have any questions. Happy editing! ~Swarm~ {sting} 23:03, 18 May 2020 (UTC)

Labo(u)r disputes articles

Hi - thank you for creating the articles on labour disputes you've done; it's great to get more coverage. I really enjoyed the 1909 Georgia Railroad strike article. Join the organized labour project if you would like; I'm in the (slow) process of reviving it. If you're interested in taking some of the labour-related articles you created to good article (GA) status, ping me, I try to do reviews when I can and would be happy to advise (if you wanted) on preparing for GA.--Goldsztajn (talk) 13:25, 26 May 2020 (UTC)

Hey, thanks for the advice, I'll join the WikiProject and might ping you at some point in the near future about GA. JJonahJackalope (talk) 21:28, 26 May 2020 (UTC)

Sorry

Sorry about this; I was mistaken. I've only been doing this for a day or so. --Stay safe, PRAHLADbalaji (M•T•AC) This message was left at 01:45, 28 May 2020 (UTC)

Invite to Revive WikiProject:Shopping Centers!

Hello there JJonahJackalope! I'm Windyshadow32, a new member of the sadly inactive Wikiproject Shopping Centers. I see that you have recently edited some pages within the scope of our project! I am trying to revive the project to highlight the unique stories of malls across the country and the world especially as we lose more and more of them. Your expertise of buildings in Atlanta specifically would be very beneficial! Undoubtedly, we will lose shopping malls due to the challenges we face at this moment. I would like to know if you would like to help revive the project with me! I could really use some help assessing the quality of each article and how important they are! I can't take on this massive project without you. Please let me know if you'd be willing to help; I really appreciate it!

Windyshadow32 (talk) 23:18, 19 June 2020 (UTC)

Hey, thanks for the complements! I'm a bit preoccupied at the moment, so I may not be able to participate fully in the project, but I'll definitely join and try to contribute to reviving it! Just let me know how I can help more.JJonahJackalope (talk) 18:19, 20 June 2020 (UTC)

JJonahJackalope, I greatly appreciate your hard work, originating articles about our state of Georgia. Many are a delight to read. But this particular one bothers me. It is not in the writing style of your other works, and in fact has the tone and construction of an academic review. Very much like a cut and paste job. If so, then it has to be significantly revised to avoid copyright issues. All the best. Gulbenk (talk) 21:07, 26 June 2020 (UTC)

I see what you're saying, appears to be the result of subsequent editing to the article. I'll try to fix that as soon as possible, and thanks for the complements. JJonahJackalope (talk) 21:12, 26 June 2020 (UTC)

Yes, and sorry for pinning that on you. After reviewing the article history I found the culprit. I'm off to do battle with the other editor. Cheers !! Gulbenk (talk) 21:17, 26 June 2020 (UTC)

Thank you for 1977 Atlanta sanitation strike

Dear JJonahJackalope, I just wanted to thank you for starting 1977 Atlanta sanitation strike. It's been on my wish list for years and I never got around to it so I am glad you have.--User:Namiba 13:12, 19 August 2020 (UTC)

No problem! I definitely know what it's like to have a wish list / backlog of pages you want to get to, but I'm glad I could help! --JJonahJackalope (talk) 13:47, 19 August 2020 (UTC)
