Hello. The "reverted unsourced changes in case of FSV Frankfurt and Mainz 05 the stats are wrong" that you made to Nikita Rukavytsya removed the a number of stats updates I had made.

The Perth Glory stats were incorrect for Cup games, I added the current season stats for Haifa, and I also updated all 'International' stats which shows games Rukavytsya has played for Australia ('International' are not club stats on this entry)

I had also added these two qualifying statements to the foot of the stats tables -

  • Cup appearances in domestic and international club competition
    • International appearances for Australia

BrettKlucznik (talk) 23:38, 11 January 2018 (UTC)

@BrettKlucznik: You did not provide any sources for your edits. In cases where I could easily check the correctness of the numbers (like Rukavytsya's appearances for FSV Frankfurt) you deliberately wrote a wrong number in the infobox (11 instead of 19). As long as you don't provide any sources for your edits (see WP:PROVEIT), I severely doubt that your numbers are correct and will revert them again. Please read Wikipedia:Verifiability and act accordingly. --Jaellee (talk) 17:52, 12 January 2018 (UTC)

Jaellee

@Jaellee:I did not alter the stats for Rukavytsya's appearances for FSV Frankfurt. The previous edit - 18:36, 29 December 2017‎ LoveVanPersie - shows Rukavytsya as playing 11 games and I did not change that figure.

Your claim that I "deliberately wrote a wrong number in the infobox" is wrong.

As I said previously, the stats I updated were for Rukavytsya's appearances for Perth Glory (Cup games only), Haifa and Australia, which are displayed in the 'International' column. --BrettKlucznik

@BrettKlucznik: With this edit you changed his appearances for FSV Frankfurt in the infobox from 19 (correct, see [1]) to 11 (wrong). You also changed his appearances for Beitar Jerusalem from 30 (correct, see [2] to 31 (wrong).
This edit changes his appearances and goals for Maccabi Haifa from 33/8 to which was correct for 9 December 2017 to 34/7 on 11 January 2018 which is wrong (see [3]). Correct would have been 37/9 on 11 January 2018. If this has not been "deliberately writing wrong numbers into the infobox", what is it? Why should I believe any of your other numbers in the statistics tables (for which you have provided no sources up to now)? --Jaellee (talk) 20:17, 15 January 2018 (UTC)

Jaellee

@Jaellee:If you feel that stats are incorrect then please them. I am not going to waste any further time trying to justify myself to you. --BrettKlucznik
@BrettKlucznik: I don't "feel" that that stats are incorrect, I have sources that prove that your numbers are incorrect. You still have not provided any sources at all for your numbers and it seems to me that you haven't understood Wikipedia:Verifiability at all. --Jaellee (talk) 14:09, 20 January 2018 (UTC)

Jaellee in the site references Ogol that he returned to Vila Nova, so this modification. Then it makes no sense to revert a sure thing.

@Toveco: Can you provide the URL of the website you mention? --Jaellee (talk) 22:46, 20 January 2018 (UTC)

It works both ways, I have looked at the template you've mentioned in the edit summaries... Iggy (Swan) 23:59, 26 January 2018 (UTC)

@Iggy the Swan: If it works both ways, then why the mass changes? --Jaellee (talk) 00:01, 27 January 2018 (UTC)
I've stopped doing that now I have realised that both ways work. Iggy (Swan) 00:03, 27 January 2018 (UTC)
@Iggy the Swan: Thank you. --Jaellee (talk) 11:47, 27 January 2018 (UTC)

Hi there JAELLEE, all well?

I see what you mean because it has happened to me on several occasions EVEN with players of the CURRENT squad, but when i go back and click again on the link it works (i am referring to the Athletic Bilbao official profile you removed from the external links section), so it's not broken and it's of great use (the most important - or second-most - team of his career).

Continue the great work, until some other time --Quite A Character (talk) 17:16, 6 March 2018 (UTC)

  • To further "strengthen my case": for example, now clicked in Andoni Zubizarreta's Bilbao profile (played there in the 80s!), worked the first time. Maybe something to do with your PC configuration? --Quite A Character (talk) 17:51, 6 March 2018 (UTC)
Hi Quite A Character, yes, everything is okay. I just tried the Athletic Bilbao official profile link and it is still not working for me. I tried it on my PC with two different browsers and again on my tablet, but I always get redirected to http://www.athletic-club.eus/prehome.html. But when I paste the link http://www.athletic-club.eus/en/players/1613/jmartinez.html in my browser, then it works. This is really strange. --Jaellee (talk) 18:13, 6 March 2018 (UTC)

Gerd Müller

Hello Jaellee,

I don't know whether Wikipedia itself can be cited, but the article 1972-73 European Cup clearly states that Gerd Müller scored 11 goals, NOT 12, that's why I changed it to that correct amount. Unfortunately the source for that statistic in the External links section is dead. But for example the source http://www.rsssf.com/ec/ec197273det.html#cc showes that - if you combine every goal from Müller - it adds up to 11. Also the German source https://www.fussballdaten.de/person/gerd-mueller/1973/ shows 11 goals in 6 matches played. The other way around, where is it stated on the Gerd Müller page that it was 12 goals, where is that citation? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 188.109.235.131 (talk) 21:18, 23 March 2018 (UTC)

@188.109.235.131: Hello IP, Wikipedia cannot be cited, please have a look at WP:CIRCULAR for that. The source I checked for Müller's goals is http://www.kicker.de/news/fussball/bundesliga/vereine/1972-73/12070/vereinsspieler_gerd-mueller.html which says that he had scored 12 goals. I saw a change in Müller's article which had been stable for a long time. There was no explanation for the change nor any source for it and the first source I found, confirmed the data that already had been in the article. Unfortunately, there are some editors which deliberately introduce errors in Wikipedia articles, so if an IP changes data in an article without citing a source, such edits look quite suspicious to me. Next time, please provide a reliable source (please have look at WP:CITE on how to do that). If we disagree then, we can discuss which source is better or more reliable (in this case the best source would be from UEFA.com, but it seems that those links are dead). --Jaellee (talk) 23:14, 23 March 2018 (UTC)

Julian Draxler

Hi Jaelle, The correction you made in Julian Draxler is actually wrong. He actually scored 2 goals and made 3 appearences for PSG.If you think I am wrong you can go to PSG's official Facebook page and you will see they wrote in a status that "Second goal of Julian Draxler with PSG-Paris Saint Germain".

RE:Christian Schultz

How is a cup final not notable? Hildreth gazzard (talk) 19:56, 13 May 2018 (UTC)

@Hildreth gazzard: Because Schulz did not even play in the final. You can say that he won the cup with Sturm Graz, but that's all. --Jaellee (talk) 18:49, 14 May 2018 (UTC)

So why remove it from his Honours? Hildreth gazzard (talk) 19:00, 14 May 2018 (UTC)

@Hildreth gazzard: Because it was an obviously sloppy edit and I didn't want to bother cleaning up after you. --Jaellee (talk) 19:02, 14 May 2018 (UTC)

Spiranovic

If you do not agree with the reliability of a source, please take it up at wherever relivable sources are determined or complain about it on the talk page of the article in question, do not automatically revert edits simply because you disagree with the source, especially one added in good faith by another user who has made it clear that the edit is a legitimate, sourced edit and one that is factual. I find it unbelievable that you could consider a broadcast from one of the largest sports networks in Australia an "unreliable" source, and it makes me wonder just how much good faith your edits are being made in. Please do not revert the page any further or I will take further action. Thank you. Macktheknifeau (talk) 06:02, 7 June 2018 (UTC)

Your vague threats are out of order. A TV broadcast is not verifiable source. How is anyone supposed to look it up? This is an encyclopedia, remember. If you add something, the burden is on you to add a proper source. We can't just take your word for whether something has happened or not. It would appear you've been editing here since at least 2007, so you should know better. Happy editing, Robby.is.on (talk) 09:09, 7 June 2018 (UTC)
It was viewed by millions of people. I've even got a copy of it. It is perfectly verifiable. If you have a problem with television broadcasts being verifiable I suggest you discuss it on the relevant policy pages. As far as I'm concerned it is viable and a legitimate source, so the burden of proof is on you to either prove it wasn't reliable or that I'm somehow lying about the player being picked for and playing in the final of a major international football tournament, or to add additional sources that satisfy your mistaken need for more 'Verifiability'. Macktheknifeau (talk) 13:11, 7 June 2018 (UTC)
I see once again that Robby.is.on has reverted a legitimate edit. I have re-added the sections again. Do not, either yourself or Robby.is.on, revert the edits again or I will contact the admins for dispute resolution. As far as I am concerned the edit war that you are perpetrating, while hiding behind irrelevant guidelines is not good faith editing. The edits are legitimate, the events happened and have already been sourced on the page, both for that specific event, and for his career as a whole. Once again, if you disagree with the actual fact, that somehow the player in question did not play in the final of the 2015 Asian Cup, please tell me why that is false, I would be greatly interested to hear it, because I attended the event in question and it would be a stunning piece of information to hear. iker casillas height

how can you proof that iker casillas is 185cm tall i see his real madrid card on celebrityheights in which his height is 180cm. 23 Harsh.v (talk) 08:17, 16 June 2018 (UTC)

@23 Harsh.v: I recommend to read Wikipedia:Verifiability and Wikipedia:Identifying reliable sources. As long a you cannot provide a reliable source where his height is 1.80 m, we will have to use the height that is sourced. Your personal opinion of his height does not matter. If you continue to change his height without providing a source, you will eventually get blocked. --Jaellee (talk) 10:16, 16 June 2018 (UTC)

Hakan Sukur

Hello, I don't mean any disrespect but can you please point out how my edit didn't make sense? I looked at your most recent edit on the page and you didn't seem to change anything from my edit, just write 'I severely doubt your improvements'. So if you doubt my improvements, why didn't you revert/change it again?

Again, I'm not trying to seem rude or cocky or disrespectful or whatnot, I just want to try to figure out your thought process.

Thanks. — Preceding unsigned comment added by PokeFan10025 (talkcontribs) 14:09, 15 June 2018 (UTC)

@PokeFan10025: I'm not a native speaker, but the convention is "in February 2016" but "on 5 February 2016". You changed two times "in February 2016" (or "In November 2017") and that's why I doubted your grammar improvements. --Jaellee (talk) 14:34, 15 June 2018 (UTC)

Hi, I understand that I've made an error for the 'in February 2016' and not 'on', but that doesn't necessarily mean that you have to revert my whole edit. You can just edit the page to fix my mistakes.

Reverting my whole edit because of one or two mistakes, when you could clearly see that I've improved it in other areas, is a bit rude, but I'm hoping that you did it out of good-nature and/or ignorance.

I'm not trying to start any fights or whatnot, I'm just stating my opinion. Hopefully you can take it as constructive criticism for the future.

Have a nice day, PokeFan10025 (talk) 04:04, 16 June 2018 (UTC)

@PokeFan10025: When I saw your edit, the first two changes were not not really an improvement and (together with the fact that I did not know the editor) I classified the change as either "test edit" (someone doing an edit in order to see if it really works) or as an edit of someone who really tried to improve something, but failed. In any case, I did not read any further and reverted because I thought that the edit did not improve the article. Most of the work I do is vandalism reverts and in most cases seeing the first change is enough to make a correct assessment. Maybe I should read further in the not so clear cases, but I even then I don't see it generally as my job to fix edits which are partly no improvement. I do this sometimes, but in other cases I revert and hope that the original editor will do an improved change the next time. If the editor doesn't then the article is not worse off than before. --Jaellee (talk) 17:47, 16 June 2018 (UTC)

@StevoLopata8561: Information in the Wikipedia has to be reliably sourced. You'll have to wait until there is a source before you change the article. --Jaellee (talk) 16:21, 10 August 2018 (UTC)

Hi there, still continuing with the good work i see :)

A small favour, if you can: i made an overall cleanup in this player's article, but found it very hard to translate title of the reference for his goal against Serbia in that friendly. Since i did not want to make things up, i come to you as i think it will only take you a minute or so.

Thanks in advance, from Portugal --Quite A Character (talk) 22:38, 30 August 2018 (UTC)

@Quite A Character: Hi, you're also still hard at work in the Wikipedia. The title of this reference is difficult to translate and even after some thinking I could not find a really good translation. I'd rather say youngsters than newbies, but you already got the gist of it. --Jaellee (talk) 21:15, 31 August 2018 (UTC)

No, my kind fellow user, you are referring to the match against Hungary, titled "Völlers Jugendstil bleibt erfolgreich". I mean the match against Serbia where he got his second and last goal, the article is titled "Kehl belohnt Völlers Rumpf-Elf". I (not i, Wikipedia!) need help with the second, not the first. --Quite A Character (talk) 19:32, 1 September 2018 (UTC)

@Quite A Character: I don't have an optimum translation for this, but I tried to translate the meaning. --Jaellee (talk) 21:35, 1 September 2018 (UTC)

C. League / Others

Great win yesterday, my compatriot Sanches has been "recovered for the cause" it seems, and Ribéry and Robben will play until their 50s i believe! A question, however: what was T. Müller doing on the bench? Tactical approach, minor injury or fatigue? Strange...

More Bayern-related stuff: any news on Gerd Müller's health? I heard he was diagnosed with Alzheimer's some years ago.

Regards from Portugal, continue the good work --Quite A Character (talk) 19:03, 20 September 2018 (UTC)

@Quite A Character: Yes, I was happy about the win and especially happy for Sanches. I think that the last two years were not easy for him. I would be glad if he could continue to play that well. With Tolisso and Coman injured, he may get a chance to show his talents. As far as I have understand Kovac, Müller just got a break. He played in all the matches of this season and often full time. I also expect him to play today against Schalke.
There no real news about Gerd Müller, he was diagnosed with Alzheimer years ago. For more than three years he has been living in a nursing home now. From time to time there are articles about him, but they just say that seems to be in good health (at least his body) and is regularly visited by his wife and old friends. It is sad that he cannot enjoy his retirement. --Jaellee (talk) 13:17, 22 September 2018 (UTC)

Hi there, article is in shambles now in my humble opinion (don't know why use season-by-season sub-sections if it's not mandatory, don't know why write "Martínez" more than once in same paragraph and surely don't know why repeat the infobox/statistical chart in storyline over and over again), but i'll leave it be forever because i don't want to engage in a needless edit war with KingJeff (or also you, if you think their style is better than my approach, that could be the case), i tried my best in this decade i am here to keep the player's article up to par; a couple of months ago the same situation "emerged" at Aaron Hunt, i duly cleaned up but now won't do the same in Mr. Martínez, no problems will come from to this page whatsoever.

Congratulations on tonight's CL win, Bayern Munich, one of the richest clubs in the world playing with SEVEN national players (and some more on the bench)! In my country? FC Porto fielded ZERO yesterday, S.L. Benfica TWO and i doubt Sporting CP will be more than two tomorrow against Arsenal.

Attentively, sorry for any inconvenience (and i extend that wish to Mr. KingJeff) --Quite A Character (talk) 03:07, 8 November 2018 (UTC)

@Quite A Character: Hi, I don't think that I edited much of the prose of the Martínez in the last months or years. From my point of view you can go ahead and edit it. In my opinion your edits are improvements for articles.
Thanks for the congratulations, unfortunately Bayern lost today the match against Dortmund, so even if the results in the Champions League are okay, they are losing ground in the domestic league and all the national players could not help that. Portugal has lots good national players, even if they play abroad (like Sanches).
So don't worry about your improvements of the storyline. As I said I'm not doing a lot such edits, only small fixes or if I think it is truly horrible (which never happened in your case). --Jaellee (talk) 19:44, 10 November 2018 (UTC)
