Your recent edits[edit]

Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You may also click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 08:44, 27 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia talk editing suggestions[edit]

I just wanted to let you know of a couple of things that will make it easier discusss things on the talk page.

  • You can link to a web page outside of Wikipedia by using the text: [address-of-the-web-page description] . I've done just that for the Catholic World News article. In general, if you don't know the format for something, you can find another page that has that something, hit the edit button, and examine the actual code to see how its done.
  • Generally, it is a bad idea to insert your comments inside another editor's comment. Placing them afterword is customary. It is OK to put short comments inside another's long comment, but be sure to sign it and make sure it's short.
