Welcome![edit]

Hello, ATSUC&M, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions.

I noticed that one of the first articles you edited was Arizona School of Dentistry and Oral Health, which appears to be dealing with a topic with which you may have a conflict of interest. In other words, you may find it difficult to write about that topic in a neutral and objective way, because you are, work for, or represent, the subject of that article. Your recent contributions may have already been undone for this very reason.

To reduce the chances of your contributions being undone, you might like to draft your revised article before submission, and then ask me or another editor to proofread it. See our help page on userspace drafts for more details. If the page you created has already been deleted from Wikipedia, but you want to save the content from it to use for that draft, don't hesitate to ask anyone from this list and they will copy it to your user page.

One rule we do have in connection with conflicts of interest is that accounts used by more than one person will unfortunately be blocked from editing. Wikipedia generally does not allow editors to have usernames which imply that the account belongs to a company or corporation. If you have a username like this, you should request a change of username or create a new account. (A name that identifies the user as an individual within a given organization may be OK.)

In addition, if you receive, or expect to receive, compensation for any contribution you make, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation to comply with our terms of use and our policy on paid editing.

Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your messages on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically insert your username and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question on this page and then place {{Help me}} before the question. Again, welcome! October 2020[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. I noticed that your username, "ATSUC&M", may not comply with our username policy. Please note that you may not use a username that represents the name of a company, group, organization, product, service, or website. Examples of usernames that are not allowed include "XYZ Company", "MyWidgetsUSA.com", and "Foobar Museum of Art". However, you are permitted to use a username that contains such a name if it identifies you individually, such as "Sara Smith at XYZ Company", "Mark at WidgetsUSA", or "FoobarFan87".

Please also note that Wikipedia does not allow accounts to be shared by multiple people and that you may not advocate for or promote any company, group, organization, product, service, or website, regardless of your username. Please also read our paid editing policy and our conflict of interest guideline. If you are a single individual and are willing to contribute to Wikipedia in an unbiased manner, please request a change of username by completing the form at Special:GlobalRenameRequest, choosing a username that complies with our username policy. If you believe that your username does not violate our policy, please leave a note here explaining why. Thank you. ElKevbo (talk) 21:51, 13 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Conflict of interest[edit]

Hi, I spotted your edit summary Trying to update pages with accurate information (names, locations, programs), which user Tacyarg‬ has now informed me is not of interest to Wikipedia because I work at these locations. Sorry, I was not clear. Yes, of course, Wikipedia needs accurate information, as long as it is referenced to independent and reliable sources. However you do have a conflict of interest because you work at these institutions; please do have a look at the links ElKevbo and I have posted above. And probably better if you respond here on your own talk page rather than in edit summaries, as the comments from your edit summaries may not get noticed. Many thanks, Tacyarg (talk) 22:34, 13 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

So, to be clear, because I work for this institution, I cannot correct the name of the institution, or update the existing programs or campus locations, without running it through a review process. But if a random person did so, it's fine. Jason at ATSU (talk) 18:06, 20 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

October 2020[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Because we have a policy against usernames which give the impression that the account represents a group, organization or website, I have blocked this account; please take a moment to create a new account with a username that represents only yourself as an individual and which complies with our username policy or request a change of username.

You should also read our conflict of interest guideline and be aware that promotional editing is not acceptable regardless of the username you choose. Additionally, if your contributions to Wikipedia form all or part of work for which you are, or expect to be, paid, you must disclose who is paying you to edit.

Please also note that you are permitted to use a username that contains the name of a company or organization if it identifies you individually, such as "Sara Smith at XYZ Company", "Mark at WidgetsUSA", or "FoobarFan87".

If your username does not represent a group, organization or website, you may appeal this username block by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} at the bottom of your talk page.

You may simply create a new account, but you may prefer to change your username to one that complies with our username policy, so that your past contributions are associated with your new username. If you would prefer to change your username, you may appeal this username block by adding the text

{{unblock-un|new username|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}

at the bottom of your talk page. Please note that you may only request a name that is not already in use, so please check here for a listing of already taken names.

 Thank you. TheSandDoctor Talk 05:19, 14 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

I have changed my username. Please unblock this account so I may correct errors and add accurate and updated information, which I understand to the be point of Wikipedia Jason at ATSU (talk) 17:50, 20 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Accept reason:

Renamed so unblocked. Please remember, you are expected to comply with WP:COI going forward. Yamla (talk) 18:21, 20 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

When you were unblocked you were asked to "comply with WP:COI going forward." Editing your employer's article to add biased language (and also violate copyright by copying directly from the cited source) is not complying with that policy. I strongly recommend you not edit your employer's article(s) and request assistance in the article's Talk page. ElKevbo (talk) 03:34, 22 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
