A tag has been placed on Rehan Allahwala requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles – see the Article Wizard.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag - if no such tag exists then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hangon tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. -- mitchsurp -- (talk) 17:27, 13 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The article Rehan Allahwala has been proposed for deletion because under Wikipedia policy, all biographies of living persons created after March 18, 2010, must have at least one source that directly supports material in the article. The nominator also raised the following concern:

place reason here

If you created the article, please don't take offense. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Wikipedia:Referencing for beginners or ask at Wikipedia:Help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within ten days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. Important note[edit]

Your userpage indicates that this account is being used by a group of people. I regret to inform you that this is not acceptable; any given Wikipedia account is only to be used by a single person.

If the userpage is simply the result of a poor choice of words, then I strongly suggest that you change that immediately, so as to more clearly indicate that you are only one person. If you actually are a group of people, then you must change this: either a) one of you may retain the account (and change the password and userpage), and the others may create individual accounts, or b) you can all abandon this account, and create individual accounts.

I apologize for the inconvenience. DS (talk) 15:28, 13 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

... Hello DS. No problems. This is only me. I said "we" in the first place meaning "we" all the Wikipedia editors. I feel like I am a part of a great and exciting community, but I changed it from "we" to "I." Javamen (talk) 21:56, 1 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hello[edit]

I have written an article about a notable company in the field of enterprise software. Could you please take a glimpse at it. Here is the link INSZoom. Regards, (Writeindia (talk) 05:09, 1 March 2013 (UTC))[reply]

The article V.J. Manzo has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Fails WP:Notability (music) and WP:Notability (academic). Most of the references are there for verification but do not establish notability. Either they lack significant coverage, they are not independent of the subject, or they are not reliable sources.
Note that a previous article on this subject was deleted as a result of Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/V.J. Manzo in December 2011. This version was created in January 2013.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. davidwr/(talk)/(contribs)/(e-mail) 02:49, 26 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

The article Peachtree Petals has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Non-notable company - fails WP:Notability and WP:Notability (companies and organizations). Article reads like promotional material. Most if not all of the references are either not independent, not reliable, or do not provide significant coverage of the subject.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Blocked for sockpuppetry[edit]

Response to Block[edit]

It is okay to block me. I am just a Wiki markup, social media and Voip meetup and workshop student of Run4health. I do feel sorry for her. It does not look to me like anyone did anything wrong but I am just a novice. Javamen (talk) 16:36, 29 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles. See the Article Wizard.

Thank you.

A tag has been placed on Peachtree Petals, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising that only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an acceptable page. Please read the general criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item G11, as well as the guidelines on spam.

If you can indicate why the subject of this page is not blatant advertising, . Clicking that button will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. You are welcome to edit the page to fix this problem, but please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. As well as removing promotional phrasing, it helps to add factual encyclopaedic information to the page, and add citations from independent reliable sources to ensure that the page will be verifiable. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Tokyogirl79 (。◕‿◕。) 03:59, 30 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free image File:Peachtree Petals Logo in PNG format.png[edit]

⚠

Thanks for uploading File:Peachtree Petals Logo in PNG format.png. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. — Malik Shabazz Talk/Stalk 04:10, 30 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on File:Peachtree Petals Logo in PNG format.png requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a non-free file with a clearly invalid licensing tag; or it otherwise fails some part of the non-free content criteria. If you can find a valid tag that expresses why the file can be used under the fair use guidelines, please replace the current tag with that tag. If no such tag exists, please add the {{Non-free fair use}} tag, along with a brief explanation of why this constitutes fair use of the file. If the file has been deleted, you can re-upload it, but please ensure you place the correct tag on it.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.

In addition, I added the following comment adding to the "orphaned non-free image" 7-day "speedy deletion criteria F5" nomination by another editor earlier today:

This image may be deleted immediately under WP:F5 because its "only use was on a deleted article and it is very unlikely to have any use on any other valid article." Even if the article were re-created this image's resolution does not conform to non-free-image content guidelines. I am adding {{db-badfairuse}} to speed things up.

I also added this text to the "description" line of the {{non-free use rationale 2}} line:

Note: Article deleted as blatant advertising on 5/30. Image itself is too high-resolution to qualify as a non-free image.

.

In any case, expect the image to be gone a lot sooner than 7 days from now. davidwr/(talk)/(contribs)/(e-mail) 04:28, 30 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

File permission problem with File:Supertec jpg highres.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Supertec jpg highres.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.

If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read the Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

In addition, I left the following {{comment}}:

If licensing is confirmed it should be immediately transferred to the commons, except that if it is not in use in any article it would not be within the Common's educational scope and it would be deleted there so it should be deleted here. Also note that the uploader is currently blocked and cannot create an article that might use this image. This image is far to large to qualify as a fair-use image.

Should you ever be allowed to edit Wikipedia and should you ever wish to upload this image again, either upload a high-resolution image to the Commons and have the real copyright owner submit an OTRS permission directly to them, or use a small version under WP:FAIRUSE rules and upload it here. In either case, wait until the article exists first. Unfortunately for the company, because of previous articles on this company have been deleted as blatant advertising, any future article on this subject will likely get heavy scrutiny. davidwr/(talk)/(contribs)/(e-mail) 04:55, 30 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
