Images in infobox[edit]

Hi there Javyriv, I wanted to say you don't need to use the File: template when adding images to infoboxes. You only need the filename itself. Thanks. -Kj cheetham (talk) 14:26, 3 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

August 2022[edit]

Information icon Hello. This is a message to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions, such as the edit(s) you made to Rattanakosin Kingdom (1782–1932), did not appear to be constructive and have been reverted. Please take some time to familiarise yourself with our policies and guidelines. You can find information about these at our welcome page which also provides further information about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. If you only meant to make test edits, please use your sandbox for that. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you may leave a message on my talk page. Thank you. Please do not add or significantly change content without citing verifiable and reliable sources, as you did with this edit to Yreka, California. Before making any potentially controversial edits, it is recommended that you discuss them first on the article's talk page. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Coasterlover1994 04:02, 7 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Stop icon You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you add unsourced or poorly sourced material to Wikipedia, as you did at Ho Chi Minh City. This is in fact a 5th warning, as 2 were deleted from the talk page on 3 Aug. Not counting the copivio violations. WikiHannibal (talk) 06:00, 9 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@WikiHannibal, Im sorry, I just wanted to change the main part back to its original way. I didn’t really focus on the poorly sourced materials. Javyriv (talk) 06:05, 9 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

OK, but please be more careful, you keep adding unsourced content and the next violation can get you banned. Please review the Wikipedia:Citing sources policies linked in the warnings. Thanks, WikiHannibal (talk) 06:16, 9 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

OK, I’ll try to be more careful next time. Javyriv (talk) 06:19, 9 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please refrain from making test edits in Wikipedia pages, such as those you made to Talk:Axis powers, even if you intend to fix them later. Your edits have been reverted. If you would like to experiment again, please use your sandbox. Thank you. ScottishFinnishRadish (talk) 00:17, 18 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, I'm Cutlass. Although everyone is welcome to contribute to Wikipedia, it's important to be mindful of the feelings of your fellow editors, who may be frustrated by certain types of interaction. While you probably didn't intend any offense, please do remember that Wikipedia strives to be an inclusive atmosphere. In light of that, it would be greatly appreciated if you could moderate yourself so as not to offend. Please do not accuse others of vandalism without proof. Korean Air Flight 2033 moved to draftspace[edit]

An article you recently created, Korean Air Flight 2033, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Robert McClenon (talk) 03:12, 2 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks Robert McClenon for the information. Javyriv (talk) 03:14, 2 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

If you do not know how to add the references to an article, do not put it in article space. I have moved it back to draft space. You may request advice at the Teahouse. Do not move the draft back into article space on your own. Since you know that you are having difficulty with the references, and the references are essential, submit the draft for review when you think that it is ready. September 2022[edit]

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Japan Air Lines Flight 123 and British Airtours Flight 28M. This means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be although other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Points to note:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2404:0:8021:A622:6511:5DEC:43B6:B1FD (talk) 06:25, 2 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Cut and paste moves[edit]

Information icon Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you tried to give a page a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into Korean Air Flight 2033. This is known as a "cut-and-paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is legally required for attribution. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.

In most cases for registered users, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page (the tab may be hidden in a dropdown menu for you). This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Requests for history merge. Thank you. Liz Read! Ok thanks Liz for the help, I appreciate it. Javyriv (talk) 14:41, 3 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Nomination of Korean Air Flight 2033 for deletion[edit]

The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on high-quality evidence and our policies and guidelines.

Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion notice from the top of the article until the discussion has finished.

Last warning[edit]

If you continue spread non-sense and hateful conduct on my talk page again, I will report you to the Admin immediately. Please stop it and do not send hateful conduct on my talk page again and take this as your last warning. MrKDunleavy (talk) 03:29, 4 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

  • User:MrKDunleavy, it was NOT "hateful", it was just wrong. Please don't exaggerate. Javyriv, a user has every right to remove such warnings and comments from their talk page--just as you have a right to remove this section. So leave it be, OK? Drmies (talk) 03:33, 4 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

MrKDunleavy, I am NOT spreading non-sense and hateful conduct on your talk page! Do NOT accuse me of hating on you, I am just warning you to stop vandalize wikipedia with your disruptive editing and edit war with me! Javyriv (talk) 03:34, 4 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

  • Javyriv, settle down. I could have blocked both of you. And please STOP with all this unnecessary, excessive formatting and wikilinking. Thank you. Drmies (talk) 03:40, 4 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

What's the point of changing every single photo for aviation accident articles?[edit]

I don't understand the point of changing every single photo when some of the photos are previously fine, can you elaborate or at least say in the edit summary exactly why the photo was changed, as some of the photos you change are perfectly fine. I apologize for edit warring but I don't get the image changing spree. CutlassCiera 14:56, 6 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Blocked for sockpuppetry[edit]

Stop icon
You have been blocked indefinitely from editing for abusing multiple accounts per the evidence presented at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Javyriv. Note that multiple accounts are allowed, but not for illegitimate reasons, and any contributions made while evading blocks or bans may be reverted or deleted.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text below the block notice on your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  Bbb23 (talk) 13:55, 12 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

I am sorry, I messed up, I promise for now on I will try to improve wikipedia instead of abusing it, because now that I am blocked, I now know that was wrong

This does not address the reason for your block. Yamla (talk) 11:36, 15 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. Request reason:

When I ment abusing, I meant that I made anonymous accounts abusing other people, now that I am blocked, I know not to do it again and with my crazy editing, so for now on, I will try to properly improve wikipedia. Javyriv (talk) 12:02, 15 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

For the past 11 days, I have been blocked due to vandalism and harrassment, now that I think about what I have done, I feel that was not such a good thing to do. That is really something serious for wikipedia that I know and should have known before I got blocked. I will not do it again. If this request gets declined, then I will wait for the administrator to come to the official decision to unblock me. Again I am sorry for everything I have done in the past.

Decline reason:

Beyond being blocked for abusive editing through multiple accounts, your editing has numerous other problems. Including an ongoing failure to communicate - whether that be in adding new images, or in edit warring, or ignoring numerous warnings on your talk page. Until you can demonstrate (and I mean, show understanding of what you did wrong and what you'd do differently - not just repeating my words back to me) you'd do better in that regard I'd oppose any admin unblock. Your first unblock says "because now that I am blocked, I now know that was wrong ", which is exactly it. Why did it take a block to get you to know what you were doing was wrong? I would advise waiting six months, possibly productively editing on another wikipedia, and then making a new block request, answering the different aspects I've mentioned here. Nosebagbear (talk) 17:44, 24 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

For the sake of any future admin reviewing, I'd advise at least a maximum of 1 account, no IP editing, and a general WP:1RR on all edits, including image changes. Nosebagbear (talk) 17:44, 24 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
