Hi Jeff![edit]

Jeff, there are a few things I'd like to comment and discuss with you regarding the mediation at Cherokee. I understand that you haven't enabled your email, and with good reasons; is there any way I can reach you - maybe, setting a web mail account specifically for wiki discussion? Cheers, Phaedriel - 07:41, 5 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I'd also like to send you an e-mail.Proabivouac 08:49, 5 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I have enabled the email option. Jeffrey Vernon Merkey 16:23, 5 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I've sent you an email, Jeff - please let me know in case it didn't get through. Cheers, Phaedriel - 08:35, 6 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I've nominated Mormon teachings about extraterrestrial life, an article you created, for deletion. We appreciate your contributions, but in this particular case I do not feel that Mormon teachings about extraterrestrial life satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion; I have explained why in the nomination space (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and the Wikipedia deletion policy). Your opinions on the matter are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Mormon teachings about extraterrestrial life and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~). You are free to edit the content of Mormon teachings about extraterrestrial life during the discussion but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion discussion. Thank you. -SESmith 23:03, 10 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you. I have commented about the article in the discussion section. Jeffrey Vernon Merkey 03:56, 11 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Cool it, please[edit]

See this post to my talk: User talk:JzG#Jeffrey_Vernon_Merkey. Uncle G is definitely one of the good guys, a thoughtful and respected writer of articles. If he has identified a problem then a problem almost certainly exists - and I agree with him. You urgently need to tone down the rhetoric, and focus on content rather than imputing motives to contributors (whether accurately or not, and in some cases it's definitely not). You seem to be in crusading mode again. Please consider taking a short break form this article, or LDS articles in general. One dispute at a time. Please be advised that the level of aggression you are showing to others is well above tolerable levels. I am in enough shit for unblocking you in the first place that the pressure to re-block mounts every time you say a word out of place, please help me out here by not giving your enemies and mine more ammunition. Thanks. Guy (Help!) 09:58, 11 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Guy, I'll take a break from LDS articles if its ruffling this many feathers. I am having a problem quantifying the term "aggression", but if you feel this is the case, I'll tone down the dialouge and take a break for a while. As for the other statement, "getting shit for unblocking", This was one of my main concerns about the project in general. As I previously stated to you and others, the environment is not a good one when people have to live in fear all the time. You nor anyone else should ever have to. I do not know who "Uncle G" is, and in fact, I do not know who all of these players are. But if its causing that much controversy, perhaps I should back off for a while.
