Yes Discography[edit]

I think the table is a great idea for the Yes discography (and singles). I'd go ahead and do it, but I really have no time at the moment. Feel free to go ahead, though.  ;) --Comics 03:45, 26 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Only via userboxes, eh?[edit]

Nice. Very nice. ^_^ Cernen 11:16, 12 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

News Aggregator List[edit]

I'd like to help in editing that page. Do you have any specific ideas about how you want to improve the page's quality? Rohit 12:18, 17 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks, please see the talk page of the article. Feel free to add more ideas. -- jeffthejiff (talk) 13:21, 17 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for taking the initiative to improve that page. I just added a comment there suggesting a table but dunno when I'll have the time to do anything about it. --Ikester 20:42, 28 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks, although im not sure about it now; its too annoying to improve when a lot of crap links keep getting added all the time. I'll try to add a table for showing the supported OSes etc. Theres not much else that could be put into the table though; theres not much to compare between them.. -- jeffthejiff (talk) 21:41, 28 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Why archaic formating?[edit]

Copied to Wikipedia:General complaints so other people can read it with the rest of the conversation.

thanks[edit]

I felt like an idiot, not knowing what the problem was. It is strange that taking out the {{Boxboxbottom}} tag would fix that, I am not sure I understand why...

thanks for fixing it!--Mshuflin 21:49, 23 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

s'ok! i realised that the {{Boxboxbottom}} template just puts |} in, so you had two table ends. -- jeffthejiff (talk)

eBaum's World edits[edit]

Hi, I left some feedback RE: your most recent edits to ebaumsworld at Talk:EBaum's_World#Strongly_disagree_with_most_recent_edits. Sorry if I was a bit harsh, but I do think your edits need to be reverted -- they were drastic and, I think you'll find most users will agree, not quite on the mark. Roquefort[edit]

Hi, why did you replace the Template:Redirect with the actual HTML that it produces? Surely this is not a good idea, and we are meant to avoid HTML wherever possible? -- Blorg 20:50, 26 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I subst'd it so it wont put as much load on the server. S'pose it wont make much difference on a non-uberpopular article, but i just did it automatically on sight whilst making other adjustments. Feel free to change it back if you feel strongly about it; i suppose i shouldnt have now i think about it. -- jeffthejiff (talk) 21:16, 26 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks[edit]

Image copyright problem with Image:Northamptonschoolforboys.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Northamptonschoolforboys.jpg. However, the image may soon be deleted unless we can determine the copyright holder and copyright status. The Wikimedia Foundation is very careful about the images included in Wikipedia because of copyright law (see Wikipedia's Copyright policy).

The copyright holder is usually the creator, the creator's employer, or the last person who was transferred ownership rights. Copyright information on images is signified using copyright templates. The three basic license types on Wikipedia are open content, public domain, and fair use. Find the appropriate template in Wikipedia:Image copyright tags and place it on the image page like this: {{TemplateName}}.

Please signify the copyright information on any other images you have uploaded or will upload. Remember that images without this important information can be deleted by an administrator. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me, or ask them at the Image legality questions page. Thank you. Shyam (T/C) 16:02, 1 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Fair cop. I cant find any exact copyright info on that photo, although its used fairly frequently as a publicity photo and at the time i assumed it would be OK; obviously not though. Delete away, Mr Policeman. :) -- jeffthejiff 22:14, 1 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the advice[edit]

Image Tagging for Image:Image1-1-.gif[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Image1-1-.gif. The image has been identified as not specifying the source and creator of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the source and creator of the image on the image's description page, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided source information for them as well.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

10cc[edit]

Hi Jeff, On July 10 you added a Cleanup tag to the 10cc page. I've done some work on this page, added an infobox and image, cleaned up the chronology and will continue to clean up the story of the band, particularly post-1976. Do you feel comfortable with dropping the Cleanup tag now? Thanks Grimhim 09:10, 25 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Grimhim. Looking at the version i added the cleanup tag to and reading the message i left on the talk page, it looks like you've cleaned it up well. I would've helped in cleaning it up myself, but i dont know enough about the band to do so. There's still a bit of work to be done until it can be considered good or even featured, but we can remove the tag for now. It's a good improvement - well done! Keep up the good work! -- jeffthejiff 09:44, 25 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Pain au Chocolat[edit]

I don't mind you editing my edits to add to it or make it something MORE, but if you're going to take away some of my ideas maybe YOU should give some explanation. I thought some of your edits were good but some of them litterally killed my edits, so I simply reverted. You're right, no biggie, in any case. Feel free to edit again but please keep the ideas I added, or explain why you're getting rid of them. Thanks! Kickin' Da Speaker 22:26, 8 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Ross Noble[edit]

hey thank you, I've been doing it up the past few days..I htought it looked a bit bare.

but I dont like it when I come back to see the page and people have deleted things that I've written. i go grrrr.

Sorry, i may have deleted or moved around a few bits. I think some of it was a bit too "chatty". bear in mind that this is an encyclopedia, and you're meant to have a formal tone and refrain from saying how brilliant Ross is. but if someone does delete something which shouldnt have been, you can always find it in the history, or bring it up on the talk page. -- jeffthejiff 11:46, 3 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for File:Granny'sGardenWitch.gif[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Granny'sGardenWitch.gif. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the file description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 13:17, 23 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Notification: changes to "Mark my edits as minor by default" preference[edit]

Hello there. This is an automated message to tell you about the gradual phasing out of the preference entitled "Mark all edits minor by default", which you currently have (or very recently had) enabled.

On 13 March 2011, this preference was hidden from the user preferences screen as part of efforts to prevent its accidental misuse (consensus discussion). This had the effect of locking users in to their existing preference, which, in your case, was true. To complete the process, your preference will automatically be changed to false in the next few days. This does not require any intervention on your part and you will still be able to manually mark your edits as being minor in the usual way.

For established users such as yourself there is a workaround available involving custom JavaScript. With the script in place, you can continue with this functionality indefinitely (its use is governed by WP:MINOR). If you have any problems, feel free to drop me a note.

Thank you for your understanding and happy editing :) Editing on behalf of User:Jarry1250, LivingBot (talk) 19:00, 15 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
