Copyvio[edit]

The thing about taking things from various websites is that it's not considered to be appropriate regardless of where you take it from. WP:COPYVIO is copyvio. Now if you can re-write the content entirely in your own words, then you can re-submit it through AfC. The things to be careful of are the following:

  1. Make sure that the writing isn't promotional in tone. There are a lot of buzz words and peacock phrasings out there, so it's just good to try to be a little careful. Even without the copyvio, the article wouldn't have been approved because it seemed promotional.
  2. You will need coverage in reliable sources such as newspapers and the like. That's another thing that would've kept the article from getting accepted, as you need coverage to show that the website passed WP:NWEB or WP:CORP. Press releases aren't considered to be a reliable source regardless of where it's posted, as it's released by the company, making it a WP:PRIMARY source. It looks like all of the sources you had in the article were reprints of press releases or they were on websites that we wouldn't consider to be a reliable source. I'd recommend going to Wikipedia:Reliable sources/Noticeboard, as they could be very helpful with reliable sources and the like.

I hope that this helps you out some- you can re-create the page but you'll have to address the issues above before it's accepted through AfC. Tokyogirl79 (。◕‿◕。) 18:11, 2 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
