It seems to me that an article you worked on, Worthington City Schools Distinguished Alumni, may be copied from http://whsalumni30yearclub.com/AlumniAward2012.html. The author of http://whsslumni30yearclub.com was on the committee with me that nominated and chose alumni for this award.

We created these pages together from 2006-2009.

I sent the Declaration of Consent to WP tonight as noted on the Talk page of Worthington City Schools Distinguished Alumni.

As reviewing administrator, I removed the speedy tag. Now send the OTRS notice,

However, I think the material is still unsuitable; The ones who meet WP standards for notability should be listed in the article for the high school; wer fo npot include the others. About half the individuals already meet WP standards for notability , and already have pages. Some do not, and arguably might. You should try to write pages for them (see WP:PROF in particular). I did send the notice which is why it was posted on the talk page of Worthington City Schools Distinguished Alumni.

It may be decided that each person deserves a page. However, I have seen other WP pages that go into detail about a group of people as this one does. Hopefully, someone doesn't go shut them down, too. BTW, someone else felt that this information should NOT be listed on the high school page.

A small amount of further advice along this line. If you put a section in each high school article describing the hall of fame with references, and list the alum appropriate for each school, without all the bio info, that should fly. I will be happy to support you in arguments to include that. And I echo the above advice to write the bio's. re:Thomas Sawyer[edit]

Hi....You added a reference for him from The Bryan Times. That really isn't a source that you can use for his notability. He is only quoted in the article, talking about another subject. Articles for vetting notability have to be from reliable source (which a newspaper is) and substantially about the subject (which this isn't). I think the person that suggested removing the biographies from the article and writing about the Hall of Fame itself had the best idea. We have found enough sources to write articles on 2 or three of the subjects that don't have them (the football player, the golf writer and the guy from NCR. The guy from worthington and maybe Kight, too), and I can pretty much promise you that there are at least three that are not notable. (the architect, the nurse and the wildland firefighter). As I had mentioned to you at the article talk page, it seems strange to have a listing if you only can have a partial listing. Gtwfan52 (talk) 23:39, 21 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

So, i'm thinking of removing the whole page, because really the hall of fame kinda thing is not notable. All people that were inducted ended up being from Thomas Worthington (originally Worthington) High School because nominees had to be 20 years out of school or something like that. I don't remember the criteria. Anyway, moving the rest of the info to my sandbox where I can work on D Stanley, Dr. Bonnell and so on. Thank you all again. I'm not sure how to move the info (cut and paste?) to my sandbox. Any way to do that without losing the sources that I've cited? AND, yes, I thought the Bryan Times might be an issue. Have been having trouble finding info on Thomas Sawyer since he is NOT the Thomas Sawyer that grew up in Akron, Ohio. Two Thomas Sawyers that were both in gov't from Ohio. Hi, Jenni! I am sorry to tell you, but you can't do this either. Those people are just as non notable here as they are at the other article. Also, it seems weird, but the headers were correct per the manual of style before you changed them. You may be able to get away with a seperate section on the hall of fame, and you may even be able to get away with a listing of the people in it, but I will promise you that hijacking the Notable alumni section will get reverted. I did it so I could tell you why nicely. Another editor who doesn't know what has been going on might not be as nice. Please, please...there are several experienced editors that are trying to help you. Please try to listen to their advice. I am guessing from the content of some of your messages that you are doing this as part of a work assignment. I understand you may be under some pressure to get this in the encyclopedia some way or another, but hopefully, you can go to your boss and explain that there will be Wikipedia articles on a few more of the people in the hall of fame and you got some content in some article about the hall of fame itself. Hi, again. Can you explain to me what you mean by "hijacking the Notable alumni section"? This is where most of the info was to begin with and I'm just adding the people that were in the Hall of Fame. So, should I only add the ones that are in WP right now and work on the rest? I thought I could list the people given the award. Isn't this what you all were telling me on the other talk page? That I should put this info in under the school itself? I really am struggling and trying to take your advice!! LOL. I feel like just giving up. The notable alumni should go here. There was an award given that should be recognized. I have the list of people given that award. I don't get why I can't just make the list. No, I'm not doing an assignment. This was my committee and I helped get these people inducted. When I saw the notable alumni section, I knew that so many were being left out and I just wanted to add them in. Don;t want to violate BLP. Ugh. I really am trying here. Just tell me how to get rid of the Worthington City Schools Distinguished Alumni page. I'm scrapping it all. WIll work on D Stanley in my sandbox and see what I can figure out for some others. Betty Montgomery needs to be on the list that's on Thomas Worthington High School notable alumni. I'm going to work on Chic Dambach, too. Can't Bob Hill stay, too? I'm feeling pretty lost here.
